We have a total of three children. 7 3 and 1.5 they are all healthy and very happy.

I'm really surprised so many commenters have either never seen a gyroscope or owned one. This literally was the equivalent of a childhood fidget spinner when I was a kid. Most everyone I know had one. You could make it do cool things like tightrope walk, walk up the loop on a string, etc.

The one the OP has posted is cooler though. I assume the thicker outer ring and the big gear on top means it's spin is powered by a battery. (The one I provided the link to is, uh, string powered. Give it a yank and it spins for about 45 seconds or so.)

1. Paint car red.
   
2. Mix THIS into clear coat.
   
3. Apply clear coat to car.
   
4. Once set, park car in warm place.
   
5. Pour cold water onto 'red' car to activate pigment in clear coat.

Not as good as a big bench scope but decent enough for tinker work. I have one and I love it. I end up using it more than my bench scope actually.

I have a handheld version with a surprisingly accurate sight on the top. It has a 50' range, which is astonishing for something so compact. I can pop it from my third-story window and watch the wind hit people across the street. It's always funny to watch someone brush their ear and turn around to see where it came from.

Didn’t find this particular one but I found this one on amazon with good reviews but if you need one for a different phone I just searched google for “heat sensitive phone case” and a bunch showed up so you can probably find one for your phone that way.

I made one of these once. It's actually pretty simple straightforward.

Just find yourself an old-school Dell monitor, pop the plastic case off the front, then strip off the polarizing layer. Since there's glass underneath, you can just use a utility knife around the edges and peel it off. Once that's gone, the monitor will look like the one in the gif - all white.

Then snag yourself a pair of 3D glasses from the movies, remove the lenses they already have (those ones are the wrong angle), buy some cheap polarized film to make new lenses, and you're all set. Just make sure you have the film aligned to the screen before you cut it.

Since a bunch of people are asking about where to find these, there are all sorts of vendors that sell "water beads" which work on the same principle. They are usually a form of hydrophilic polyacrylamide, that soaks in water to 'grow' to the size of a bead, that is then essentially clear, when viewed through the water.
