The first databook/character book is Souls.

The second is Masked.

The third is Unmasked, but it's not in English yet. There are unofficial translations all over the place online.

There is Color Bleach - The Official Bootleg, which has a lot of little "behind-the-scenes" stuff.

And there's All Colour but the Black, which is an art book. Most of the earlier full color spreads and stuff are in there.

Most of the information found in all the databooks and bootlegs and stuff is already online. A lot of it is in the Bleach Wiki. You'll have a hard time finding the actual book to read. Most of the info is just integrated into everything else.

I own Souls, Masked, and All Colour but the Black. I recommend them if you're interested in learning little bits and pieces about characters and such. They also have small posters and stickers that come with them. The art book is really nice if you like Kubo's artwork, because it has full-size renditions of the color pages from the manga. However, there's nothing in the databooks or anything you can't find online, nothing really specific to them.

The places I recommend are honto.jp, Amazon JP and CDJapan

Honto:
https://honto.jp/netstore/pd-book_28207470.html

Amazon JP:
https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4087034127/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483026245&sr=8-1&keywords=Bleach

CDJapan:

I personally use CDJapan, but all of those are good places to buy Japanese books from.

You might be able to get it cheaper through a third party seller, like eBay, but that is risky.

have to define legit. they are "real" but made with stainless steel and not sharpened. basically just for decoration. so it is a "real" sword made of metal and all but if you ever tried to use it the blade would probably bend immediately. if you want something sharp and less likely to bend i would recommend one of these (www.amazon.com/Classic-Crane-Handmade-Samurai-Katana/dp/B002WGEE48/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1412802756&sr=8-1&) just a little more expensive. not bleach related but you can feel like its your own Zanpakuto. P.S a tip in sword quality when looking at lower prices is any kind of carbon blade like this is a huge step above stainless steel, its basically what makes it a usable sword. not masterfully made but is sharp, less likely to bend, and made to last longer than display blades.

The way you drew it, the skull doesn't continue underneath his hair. I see the faint lines of your figure work, which is good. Now you have to learn how facial features morph in relation to each other.

For example, the flattened portion of the bottom of his eye indicates a fairly raised cheek, however his mouth is only slightly tilted. So either he's squinting (in which case add stress lines around his eyes) or you need to raise the corners of his mouth/show them interacting with his cheek.

The jaw line ends where the ear meets the face and hair sprouts, so try to draw it, or at least think of it, growing from the scalp/back-center of the head. A neck connects under the chin in a dramatic swoop, not just a straight line. This is why Ichigo's head is wrongly positioned in your picture.

If you're going to include light reflection in the eyes, you should at least add shading to the rest of the picture so it looks organic.

All in all, not bad. You're on the right track with those structural lines and just need to study and practice a bit more. I suggest practicing with 30 second drawings on Posemaniacs. This is an excellent book

P.S. As someone who practiced by copying pages from Bleach, it's really easy to make noses (and therefore faces) too long and mouths really boring when you practice Kubo's style too much. Keep at it!

US volumes usually run somewhere between 8-10 dollars.

I can only think of Barnes&Noble or Amazon to buy them.
Here's an example

I will definitely be buying vol. 63 (with As Nodt on the cover) when that is released here.

You can buy it here. The site is in Japanese though, but at least it's there!

Nope and it will never be explained in the manga, because it was explained in a novel which will never be released in the U.S. so we will never know what happens ever.
