It’s much more expensive to buy all the GW stuff. Personally I went ahead and bought brushes from warlord games they have a nice not too expensive starter pack with a detail, layer and dry brush at 12 USD. I also found a paint set which is not standard GW colors but provides 48 different colors and being acrylic paint is easy to thin, mix and work with for 47 USD. Is also heavily recommend a spray primer. I personally like the GW ones which are about 15 dollars. If you want to seal your minis which prevents further damage another 15 for a spray varnish. Last the basing will run you a few dollars for flock but otherwise you can find sand, stones, and cork quite easily around the yard and house to base your minis really nicely.

With that gear and a retail team being 28 USD or so I’d say about 117 USD or so. Take this with a grain of salt that I am in the EU and just converted currency for convenience. Also I know you asked for the correct brushes and paint, while this is not the endorsed brand it is very similar quality and so many shades you can usually match following a painting guide. This is the setup I gave myself for GW minis to start and I found it a good way to get into it. The brushes are decent quality and the paint is nice and a lot for the money. Definitely watch some YouTube tutorials on how to thin paint etc. so hopefully this helps a bit even if it doesn’t directly answer your question.

Thanks so much!

I picked up a 2x2x2 Amazon Basics lightbox (https://amzn.to/2p0kTSh) awhile ago. It's a bit overkill for the smaller models but amazing for larger kits. It folds down quite nicely too.

I used a Sony A7 to take the shots / Lightroom for some minor edits.

Hope that helps. I'll share the full team soon too :)

1st and Goal is good, but I've preferred Pizza Box football. You can get it at Amazon pretty cheap. https://www.amazon.com/Pizza-Box-Football/dp/0976582201/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1510172729&sr=8-2&keywords=pizza+box+football

Its not as flashy as Blood Bowl, but very fun. It uses the "Exploding Dice" mechanism, which can generate some pretty exciting moments :)

Go to a sporting goods store and buy a gun transport case. You can get them between 10 and 20 dollars, they are the perfect size for a blood bowl team, and you can cut up the foam any way you want to make them fit. It really is the best and the cheapest way to do it.

I have a case for each of my blood bowl teams. Works out wonderful.

Actually, I am pretty sure this is the exact case I use:

Fits my full 16 man teams. If you have a mutation team with multiple mutated models per position you will probably need something bigger, but for 16 figs these work great.

You're missing some key positionals to really build a well-rounded team, but there is nothing stopping you from using a lineman as one of those positionals until GW actually makes the minis you need. Just make sure you mark them to show who's who and that your opponent is fine with this. I use these rubber bands to help denote which linemen are Black Orcs and which are Blitzers, for example: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E7TKSWK/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

EDIT: I forgot to add that by doing this, you absolutely have two competitive teams right out of the box.

Friend bought me this book, and I liked about 80% of the short stories in it. Worth a read if you like BB I'd say

You might want to check and make sure you’re looking at what you think you are. If that’s the starter it’s about half the retail price.

There are a couple other similar games it could be (Blitz Bowl, Blood Bowl Team Manager, or even just a Blood Bowl team meant as an expansion). Check and make sure the box looks the same.

I have both of these teams at home, so I can get you some measurements when I get home.

For what it is worth, they all fit in this Feldherr case, so you can measure that. Even the 2016 Ogre fits in the 16 tray (albeit pushing on the sides of the area a little bit).

Any brand recommendations?
Found this brand on amazon, are they reasonable? https://www.amazon.de/dp/B01MTXRUUT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_aF0CAb1NRA68T

More bang for your buck (compared to green stuff) with this epoxy sculpt

I mix up a little bit and press the magnets into it on the underside of the base. Keep these containers in a plastic bag for longterm storage tho.

u/Herr-France · 3 pointsr/bloodbowl

The theme of my pitch is a Viking Dakkar Boat. So the bases were made using wooden treat sticks.

I use a DGT game timer for my games unless someone is a newbie. I have this timer for board games where people I play with suffer from analysis paralysis and it really helps keep people focused. It also just happens to work with blood bowl.
https://www.amazon.com/DGT-Cube-Timer-Chess-Clock/dp/B004S56RJG

We also use Illegal Procedure and after getting popped for it , most people quickly learn. I cant imagine playing in a league that does not. The games would be completely lopsided in the amount of time one player gets.

While the model isn't quite as nice it's the 'same' one that's in here - https://www.amazon.com/Asmodee-CLAU03-Claustrophobia-Furor-Sanguinis/dp/B00P2ZOESC/

Pic - http://www.deskovehry.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/claustophobia-furor-sanguinis-10.jpg

You'd need to strip off the pre-paint job or build on it to get it to a comparable standard and the 'knives' would need to be replaced to not be as chunky.

It's literally the nature of the opinion, and how it's different than a fact. I'm not trying to be rude, but my daughter was taught this in 1st grade. That's not something her teacher made up. It's a commonly recognized and accepted definition of what an opinion is. Google said this on the subject:

"The fact is described as the statement that can be verified or proved to be true. Opinion is an expression of judgment or belief about something. Fact relies on observation or research while opinion is based on assumption. The fact is an objective reality whereas opinion is a subjective statement."

There is no "proof" that red is a better color than blue. It's also been the grounding for doctoral studies. Here is one, a commonly cited authority on logic (There is even a logic model named after him, the Toulmin model):

https://www.amazon.com/Uses-Argument-Stephen-Toulmin/dp/0521534836

Again, I'm not trying to be rude, but you seem to be attacking me because I'm offering an OPINION that is apparently different than yours.

Since we have moved beyond Blood Bowl strategy and into difinitive claims of English words, I'm going to withdraw from this thread discussion.
