That sounds terrific! I don't mind books that show a little love, it simply adds to the book's character lol.

I think that I may have the perfect book to send in exchange. It's actually one that I am currently reading and close to finishing. It's T. S. Eliot's The Waste Land and Other Poems. I am a huge fan of poetry myself, and it has been a long time since I have read a collection that I have enjoyed as much as this one. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats has always been one of my favorites, ever since I was a child, so I thought I would read some of his more serious modernist poetry, and I am very impressed and enjoying it greatly! I can certainly see why The Waste Land is considered one of the most important poems of the twentieth century, and the other poems contained in this collection are equally as great. And the annotations that are included with the text are very informative and interesting!

If this would be an acceptable book to complete the exchange, please let me know, and I will be glad to send it to you! If not, I can take another look in my collection.

Thank you very much for your response! 𝒪.𝒢.

I'm very interested in your copy of the Matthew Stokoe novel Cows. I had a friend who read it a few years back, and he said that it both disturbed and mystified, so I'd love to get the chance to read it and find out for myself what he meant.

In exchange, I can send you Lives of the Monster Dogs, by Kirsten Bakis. It was one of the best and most interesting novels that I've recently read, and it goes along with the paranormal horror/science fiction theme that I saw with the books you have up for trade. Definitely check out the synopsis in the link, I think it would be something that you would really enjoy!

If this would suit you, then I would love to make a trade. If not, then I'm sure that I can find something else to trade. Just send me a PM with the verdict. Thanks so much!

There are pictures of some of the books in the link, but I'll take a picture of the Divine Comedy later.

Also, please keep in mind that what I'm requesting is a very nice copy of Ulysses, something like this, or an early (1934, etc) printing. As long as the book's like this, then that should be fine

Thanks!

Hi! This is a really great book, I thoroughly enjoyed it. (So much so that's I'm not yet ready to part with my copy). However, I came here to say that, if you're not opposed to Amazon, there are some reasonably priced Oxford Paperbacks with well written forwards available here. Also, there are plenty of copies from a variety of publishers with free shipping to Canada here. (FYI: you can search specifically for books with free shipping to Canada on the abebooks website, which is what I did in that link.) Good luck and enjoy the book!

Here's my PaperbackSwap wish list, but be warned that most of them I only want in hardcover. =)

http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/members_wishlist.php?m=blZmM09WWEpLY0E9

And my amazon wish list: http://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/32A4DY21T44ZF?reveal=unpurchased&filter=all&sort=priority&layout=standard&x=10&y=6

The book I'd be willing to send is this: http://www.amazon.com/Original-Illustrated-Sherlock-Holmes/dp/0890090572

It contains Adventures, Memoirs, Return of, and Hound of the Baskervilles. Aside from a couple of spots on the side of the pages it's basically brand new, never been read.

Or if $10 seems like a better deal than finding something to trade, you could always just buy it there. =)

Don't know if you'd be interested in these but I have:

Readings in Medieval Philosophy: This one is kind of falling apart.
Aesthetics: This one is like new. It might have some light pencil marks inside (though I'll double check to be sure that's it), but I barely used it. I bought it for a philosophy of art class.
Interpersonal Communications: Pretty worn, some writing on the inside. Pencil, definitely, maybe some pen as well.

If you're at all interested in any of these, I'm interested in Brave New World and Dune. : )

You said you're wanting to pay? For $10, you can get this fantastic book. It's wonderful. I worked in a bakery for nearly three years, and a lot of what is in that book is not only used in professional settings, but makes baking a lot easier.

When my friends move into new places, I usually include that in the gift basket. :). I wish I could give you mine, but it's currently packed in a box 4 states away.

Ditto!

I also am very interested in some of those books. I will edit my comment tomorrow after I look through my books to see if I have anything that you might like.

E: I have The Norton Anthology of Poetry, 5th Edition, which is over 2100 pages and has only light writing in the back and some shelf wear. I can send you a list of the poets if you are interested.

The Norton Anthology World Masterpieces, Expanded Edition is in rough shape but contains lots of poetry.

I also have The Complete Works of Shakespeare, The Complete Works of Edgar Allen Poe, Plato's The Republic, biographies, and boatloads of literature and other books. Anything trip your trigger?

I would really, really like:

C++ Without Fear - Overland

Hacking, The Art of Exploitation- Jon Erickson

HTML 4 for Dummies

MySQL Visual Quickstart Guide - Ullman

Thank you!

Well, I don't have any other classics I'd be willing to give away but I have Driftless by David Rhodes, Little Brother by Cory Doctorow, and a signed copy of The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, if you're interested in any of those.

Also, they're all in superb condition, no folded corners or anything.

Interested in Nicomachean Ethics. I can pay shipping for it, but I've also got a couple books you may or may not appreciate.

Reinventing the Sacred by Stuart Kauffman.
Flowers for Algernon by David Keyes.
