I think Fifth Season is a great place to start, but I thought the Dreamblood series was really unique as well. I also really loved The Inheritance Trilogy (though it does feel very similar to the Broken Earth series... but the first book has a blind main character, which is a great read!).
If you're not certain, her collection of short stories (How Long 'til Black Future Month?) is a great start too. I believe there's a short story in there from all three of her series.
Hope that helps!
Thank you for this recommendation, my reading straddles fantasy and literary fiction so to find a writer who does both is a great thing. Do you think her Inheritance trilogy is a good place to start?
Also for some reason Amazon UK has a copy of The Awakened Kingdom on sale for £999, wow, haha
Per Amazon:
Product Description
An all-new Stormlight Archive novella, "Edgedancer," will be the crown jewel of Arcanum Unbounded: The Cosmere Collection, the first book of short fiction by #1 New York Times bestselling author Brandon Sanderson.
The collection will include nine works in all. The first eight are:
“The Hope of Elantris” (Elantris)
“The Eleventh Metal” (Mistborn)
“The Emperor's Soul” (Elantris)
“Allomancer Jak and the Pits of Eltania, Episodes 28 through 30” (Mistborn)
“White Sand" (excerpt; Taldain)
"Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell” (Threnody)
“Sixth of Dusk” (First of the Sun)
“Mistborn: Secret History” (Mistborn)
These wonderful works, originally published on Tor.com and elsewhere individually, convey the expanse of the Cosmere and tell exciting tales of adventure Sanderson fans have come to expect, including the Hugo Award-winning novella, “The Emperor's Soul” and an excerpt from the graphic novel "White Sand."
Arcanum Unbounded will also contain the Stormlight Archive novella "Edgedancer," which will appear in this book for the first time anywhere. It is a story of Lift, taking place between Words of Radiance and the forthcoming Oathbringer.
Finally, this collection includes essays and illustrations for the various planetary systems in which the stories are set.
From what I've read?
So you could read that as 1. Stormlight Archive 2. Mistborn 3. Other books
This link is all the Mistborn books with the UK (Gollancz) covers, this is the trilogy with US covers. There is a boxed set of the original Mistborn trilogy somewhere, I've seen it in the UK versions (can't speak for the US, as where I live all the Sanderson books are sold with the UK covers).
You'd have to buy the Stormlight Archive and other books separately though as I don't think they have boxed sets yet. Amazon and Book Depository are bound to have them, I'd recommend shopping around for the best price. I don't live in the US, so I can't speak for the retailers that exist over there.
Edit: Yeah nah I got the order wrong
I just finished reading the Gentleman Bastards series, by Scott Lynch:
After reading The Stormlight Archive, and Mistborn, a friend recommended me the Gentleman Bastards saga and I loved it. I'd say I liked it more than mistborn, and equally than The Stormlight Archive. Scott Lynch is also a great author.
I enjoyed reading the Gentleman Bastards saga. The characters are complex, the fantasy lore is rich, not Brandon Sanderson-rich, but rich. The history is great. But I must say that I think Scott Lynch is very descriptive, I found difficult to get through because so much detail was offered.
PS. Maybe we all could share our goodreads.com profiles. Seeing that we have similar tastes, we could see what others are reading.
Lately I've been ruminating on the Dark Elf Trilogy. I read it years ago, but I liked it a lot. If I recall, I once saw u/mistborn at The Dragon's Keep, and he liked that trilogy too.
I hope sci-fi is okay. Most of the time it's fantasy set in a different era.
Yes, the Well of Ascension special edition is already pre-orderable: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Well-Ascension-Mistborn-Book-Two/dp/1473223083/ref=tmm_hrd_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1500307228&sr=8-1

No, these white cover aren't exclusive for the Cosmere. Legion or Snapshot for example also look like this. The UK version of Skyward is made in a similar style but in black and it looks awesome.
Edit: for example Snapshot. Legion got a black cover made in a similar style. And here the UK Skyward cover..
According to Amazon it comes out on October 3.

So now I have to ask... why didn't you look on Amazon? =)
Kingkiller Chronicles is great, unfortunately at this point i gave up any hope of the final piece of the trilogy ever coming out.

He's written some good comics, too. I think Sanderson fans might like Midnight Nation.

Are you American? If so, this link might help:

Just make sure that under format “Mass Market Paperback” is the one selected
I think you're right--both iron gold and dark age may be part of the iron gold trilogy (according to Wikipedia). Honestly, I haven't read any of them yet although they are on my list. Amazon lists red rising as a 5 book saga with iron gold and dark age as books 4 and 5: https://www.amazon.com/Red-Rising-Saga-Book/dp/B078YBW2H5
Sassinak and the rest of the Planet Pirates triology, perhaps. The first one in particular is definitely "a coming of age story with sci-fi and space".
FYI, there's a collection of previously published short stories and novellas (plus a new stormlight novella) being published in November:
