First off, since he is peeing in the same spots all of the time, you should consider purchasing puppy training pads and placing them in these areas so your cat is not peeing on the carpet, or the floor. And these can be easily swapped out when they are soiled. These arn't too expensive, you can probably find them at walmart, and maybe the pet section at the super market.

You can also get them on amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Training-Potty-Pads-Dogs-Cats/dp/B074WZ2Q3J/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1539226119&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=puppy+pads&psc=1

I haven't had this problem with my cats and cant really advise on the getting your cat to pee in the litter box aspect, however I found a few articles on this subject, you should check them out here

Wish you the best of luck.

Oh no, that's terrible. I had a cat that was like this. He'd keep peeing on the same spots on a rug and I had to re-train him.

You need to spend a few strict days with her litter training her again. After eating, after waking up from sleep and after playing take her directly to the litter box. If you notice her drinking a lot of water or something, take her to the litter box. Make sure it's not next to an unpleasant place like a washing machine or the trash. Cats don't like loud or pungent smells and their nose is really sensitive. Also make sure to keep the box in the same place and if it makes sense in your situation, have two littler boxes in different places in the house. Also, if you're using an enclosed litter box, take the top off while you train her, until you feel confident that she's using it consistently.

You also need to spot clean everything she has peed on. Rocco and Roxie's pet odor and stain remover is what I use and I have 2 cats and a puppy. It works great! It really gets in deep to rid of the scents we people can't smell but animals can. Cats, specially dominant cats, tend to pee over the place where they peed previously because they have claimed it as theirs. If it smells like urine they're likely to go pee on it again.

Also, keep your parents bedroom closed and off-limits as often as you can. It's possible to train a cat to not go into a certain room. None of my pets are allowed in my computer room unless I'm in there and they avoid it even when I keep the door open.

You can also ask your vet. It might be something else that is bothering her, maybe her food or maybe the litter that you use. Try different things. Some cats don't like scented litter or chaulk-y litter.

Good luck!

Dont even get me started on how he won't Hold still for cutting his giant thick claws. That takes 2 people whether it's at home or at the vets. One has to hold him and the other has to locate the claws. Ever seen a Siberian cat's fluffy paw pads? Trying to find the claws in all that is hard when kitty is strong AF AND wriggling. But the fluffy paws give him extra cold protection and fun slippy hardwood floor antics. Great for him--frustrating for mama.

I watched 2 videos that helped me with grooming. The lady is gifted with a magic spell that keeps cats still long enough to groom them. I would bring Mr. Nope to her if i could. I bought a half dozen different styles of brushes and 2 were people brushes, including a boar bristle. Nope. The magical cat groomer uses greyhound combs which are amazing for getting the underfluff that nothing else does AND it somehow picks up the loose stuff. You wouldn't believe it to look at it bcs the tines are spaced so far apart. I got a 2-pk for $8. Sleel Dog Comb Greyhound STYLE 2 Pcs , Itery Pet Grooming Tools-deshedding Brush Stainless Steel Dog Comb ( Large + Small ) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CBKJ0L6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_60S5BbBDJGP0E . I cannot get Herc to hold still long but it works like a charm for me. We normally have a disagreement while I'm trying to comb him and he has to be eating WET food sometimes for me to get at him. My roommate is allowed to brush him with the specialty horse gloves. I tried and of course, nope. 2 Pack Pet Grooming Gloves - Gentle Deshedding Brush - Enhanced Five Finger Design for Cats, Dogs & Horses - 1 Pair (Left & Right Hand) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CM4NNPH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_X3S5Bb580W37C

If you've been on a farm these probably seem familiar? I still try to very quickly groom with them on but my BRAT will hold still for a couple MINUTES for my roommate to more aggressively groom with those. Life isn't fair.

I recently bought these assortment of toys for my two kittens and they seem to like most toys in this package. It keeps them entertained. The only ones that don't seem to have much effect are the balls.

Cat are finicky about water and prefer running/flowing water over standing one - some more than others. This is also the reason why some cats paw in their water bowls.

You can look at getting a cat water fountain.

Catit Flower fountain is available for under 25 bucks, but if you are concerned about the cat playing with that, you can get a ceramic model. They would not tip over.

You can also look at something like this (but it is costly)

I had crazy allergies too when I first got my cat Roo. You do eventually build up an immunity, but to be fair it took me months and I was even considering seeing an allergist for shots.

The only thing that helped was taking claritin or zyrtec with a purifier I bought on amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004VGIGVY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_OVkACbBRGZHD9

I also tried tapering off the claritin to every other day until I was finally exhibiting mild symptoms such as occasional sneezing and coughing, which I had a proair to combat.

See your doctor for allergy prescriptions or an allergist if you want to take the shot route. Other than that it'll definitely go away.

Have you looked into something like this?

PetSafe Drinkwell Original Cat and Dog Water Fountain, Filtered Water for Your Pet, 50 oz. Water Capacity https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00063446M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_im0nDbPX808ME

My old cat used to do the same thing with the bathtub. Finally got her the water fountain so I wouldn’t have to leave the water in the tub running all the time.

You can get really cool enclosures to hide the kitty litter and decrease the amount of litter getting spread around. Here are the ones i have:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004E8M7PK (i painted this one espresso to match my furniture)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0012T6KRU

The sizes run small - my average sized cat is in the large carrier in the picture, so I’d recommend sizing up. Haven’t used it yet, but seems really sturdy!

Same - being cheap I just buy stacks of scorecards and stash them in backpacks with 5 dice and a pen...

Hey! My cat is 8 and over the last few years he had developed really bad nighttime anxiety. It's been keeping us up at night because it's just constant crying. I feel awful and I can't keep waking up to calm him.

Anyway, I found these collars on Amazon. They are calming and have a mixture of pheromones and lavender. He hasn't cried a single night since we started using them. I'll send a link!
