I have a Tyger brand (described as "Maxmate", but tagged "Tyger" on the cover itself) cover that I ordered on Amazon. It's pretty alright, but is starting to look worn after 4 months. It is mostly leak-proof, but still lets in a little moisture and dust. For a road trip, I bet it would be perfectly fine. Took about 10 minutes to install by myself. No drilling required at all.

You can buy something on Amazon which will let you watch YouTube while driving. I think it pretty much mirrors your phone but it's pretty expensive not to mention illegal most places as well.

Sounds like a job for an add-a-circuit fuse tap, relay and hardwired into the battery.

Find a fuse that is only powered with the ignition. From there use that as the signal on the relay. Then when the truck turns on, the relay will open and power the plug. Something like the running lights would work.

Supplies you'll want is either a Mini2 blade or micro2 blade fuse tap, depending on what the fuse is. A 12v cigarette lighter plug, and a wiring harness that is long enough to reach the bed from the engine bay. You can also extend it if needed easily. Just dont use the switch, as that will be powered by the fuse tap.

Since it wasnt pulling too much power, I didnt worry about putting a relay in the mix.

It both protects the seats and basically enlarges the space for them to lay to include the foot wells when you hang it from the front headrests. I'm pretty sure 2 60lb dogs would be just fine.

I got these and love them. They've been great so far (~3 months).

I got these from Amazon 2 and a half years ago when I got my 2017. They look decent, they are cheap, the install was pretty easy, and they have held up well. I was in the same boat as you plus a short wife. The only downside with them I could say is that it took me a while to get used to them being there so I would snag my foot on them sometimes.

Right on the crosstrek looks great too! I sort my gear by bags like these and keep everything under the rear seats in the cab. I have one bag with a socket set, a few wrenches, screw drivers. One bag with various grease, pb blaster, jb weld, and anti-seize. One bag with air compressor hose end bits, tire deflators and pressure gauge, hi-lift slider adapter, and trailer hitch pin. One bag with a few beer koozies, spare batteries, and a handful of cheap headlamps

Aside from those things in the bags I have an air compressor hose, air compressor is probably the thing I use the most often. Hi-lift has not been needed for the Colorado yet. I upgraded my headlights with the Retrofit source HID kit for the Colorado it is awesome. I also always have a cheap cooler in the bed usually loaded with gatorades for my crew when it’s damn hot out.

I lack a good first aid kit. But that’s about everything that always stays in my truck, been building the load out for a few years now and I have used it all on the trails in my old xterra never missed anything

If your truck has projectors, go with HIDs. If not, go with these. I’ve bought 3 pairs for different vehicles now and they’ve been fantastic.

Ok that makes more since. Rotating the same 4 sensors to another spot on the truck would not set off the light. But if you have a screen that shows tire pressure it won't be correct. But the truck will only register 4 sensors at one time. So swapping to summer/winter tires would need to be registered. Have you looked into something like this
