Do not use a standard LOC for the new civic. The EX head unit has a hidden EQ thats non-djustable and greatly reduces bass output before the signal is output to the speakers. Grab an AudioControl LC2i and use that to tap into the FRONT speakers, as they have a higher bass signal than the rears. The LC2i has a bass correction function, allowowing you to bring the bass frequencies back in line with the rest of the spectrum. The unit is also a powered unit with its own power and ground, giving 7+ volts of signal output vs the 0.5v from a nornal LOC, which will result in a cleaner signal with less noise.

The radio removal is simple. On each side of the radio/center console, there is a trim piece that simple pops off. Start at the rear/bottom (near gear selector) and pop them up. From there, the climate control area pops straight out. Once that's out, you'll see two 8mm bolts underneath the radio which is holding the screen in. Remove them, then pop the screen off, its held on by two pressure clips on the top corners once you have removed the two previously mentioned 8mm bolts. You can then tap into the front left and right door speakers with some quick splices (as in don't cut the lines, just tap into them. You want to keep your front speakers working), and tie them into the LC2i. Tap into the cigarette lighter's power line right there in front for power to the LC2i, since it only received power when the cars switch is on and won't cause your battery to drain. You can either run your audio signal and power to the LC2i to the trunk using 9-wire (google it, its a sleaved line with 9 separate insulated wires in it), or mount the LC2i in the dash somewhere. Either way, ground the LC2i to a clean metal point once youve decided where to install it. From there, run your RCA cables from the LC2i's sub output (not "Main") to your amp. Adjust the AccuBass setting to bring bass back into the signal, then your amps gain to the loudness you like. You'll want to take your time on this part so you dont have muddy bass, or dirty boomy bass. Make it sound clean and tight first with the AccuBass adjustment first, then feel free to make the sub as loud as you like using the amp Gain. Also, the LC2i has its own remote sigbal output that you can send to your amps remote turn on, so youre not having to run an extra wire.

Just realized how vague my reply was.

Weather mats - I was able to get "free" Honda ones from the dealer with my vehicle purchase. They're nice and fit well. I've heard great things about weather tech too. And don't forget one for the trunk too. Mine earned it's keep the first time a milk jug leaked. Super easy cleanup compared to carpet cleaning.

Interior leds - I used these plus this trim removal kit. Trim kit is a nice to have, you probably have something around the house to improvise with. For the actual install hit up you tube for "tenth gen Civic interior lights". It's a very easy job.

Also this was my first time having a car with a nice key fob so I got some of these to keep it from getting beat up. With auto lock, unlock, and push button start, it only leaves my pocket when I'm home anyway.

u/ocbooger · 3 pointsr/civic

I have the Weathertech floor liners in mine. Husky and OEM are other options. For the side markers I bought smoked one's off Amazon.
REVi MotorWerks DEPO Smoke Front Bumper Side Marker Light Set + Amber Bulbs FIT for 2016-2018 Honda Civic 2D/4D/5D https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073X69N7D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_nXQUCbDD09KSG

I think most states the side markers just half to be reflective and visible from 500ft. There are also some LED one's that will work with your turn signal but require a fuse tap. Lots of options.

I went with the Procivic wind visors on mine. There's a Mugen type as well. Just depends on what you want to spend on what look. I'm happy with the Procivics.

www.civicx.com is a great place to find info as well.

Here's mine

Thank you! No problem, happy to share! They're leather seat covers by a company called FH group (Amazon Link). They're a little pricier than regular seat covers but well worth it, they look and fit great!

u/iDingo91 · 2 pointsr/civic

I'm not sure what the best head unit is out there, but I think a majority of them are 400+. Of course, I haven't looked at them since I bought mine.

[I have this Dasaita](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DWV1VQ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and love it.

I don't use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto though. From what I understand with this one in particular though, you'll have to buy a separate cable for either or. I think there's a workaround to get Apple CarPlay to work though. I honestly haven't looked at it since I have an Android that I just use as a hotspot so I can have Spotify and Waze up.

I would say hit up the civicx forums and see what people are saying is worthwhile. I got the Dasaita soon after I got my '19 sport and haven't looked back.

u/gh0stmach1ne · 2 pointsr/civic

I used this and this

The 3M kit does the actual headlight restoration and the Sylvania kit finishes it off and seals it. The sealing kit reeeeeaaaaally makes it pop. Both companies make full kits that do both, but I went off of the recommendation of a guy on r/integra for these products and it worked like a charm 👌🏻

I got these one for a 9th gen, 2013 civic: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B071XV8PZQ

The only issue was that, for me, the passenger side bulb was a little difficult to install but otherwise, they are beautifully coloured, reach quite a distance away, and are exceptionally bright. This one should fit the 2010 model as well.

u/Renegade1Actual · 1 pointr/civic

For the price I have absolutely no complaints. There is some sort of residue on them I believe, but that should just clean up. Haven't tried yet. I can get better photos if you want.

They were $26 on amazon when I bought them: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CQSPL1P/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 There is also a variant for the sedan, and even ones that have LED logo lighting.

Side markers were a little pricey but had the best reviews I saw: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073X69N7D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 There are some in the $20-30 range.

HID works best on the new Civics. I have tried LED for the low beam and they are bright, but don't shine very far. I tried them in a 2017 Accord and it works better in the Accord than the Civic. HIDs shine further and give your more visibility.

I believe most others used 6000k bulbs and have said it matched their fog lights.

These LED work perfectly for me. I changed all the interior lights with these.

KATANA is the brand I went with. Cheap, stupid easy to install, and seems good quality. Have had them for about 6 months now and they are such a massive difference you can't even really compare them to the stock ones. I also drive a Sport and it is so much better driving it at night now. Looks very nice as well.

Part of my job has me drive the perimeter of the building at night before going home to double check for any safety issues or unsecured power equipment, etc etc. I made sure to get a dozen opinions from other workers to make sure I wasn't that dickhead throwing aftermarket LEDs in and blinding oncoming traffic, but nobody has said anything besides the fact that they look much nicer.

u/sowon · 1 pointr/civic

If you mean you can get it clean and clear, but it just gets dirty quickly... only advice would be to try not to park it under trees. If you mean you can't get it clear in the first place, it's probably a thin film of wax or whatever product you're using on your car. I would try a dedicated glass cleaner. e.g. https://www.amazon.com/Auto-Glym-Fast-Glass-500ml/dp/B0011569SK

If that doesn't work, use something more heavy duty like wax remover/degreaser. Remember to clean the inside surface too.

I drive a 2014 Honda Civic and love this phone mount holder. I have an iPhone 7 and been using this phone mount holder for over a year now and it still works like new. Super sturdy, extremely secured and rigid, and has a quick release button. Yes I know you said you don’t want a vent clip but this one doesn’t block any air flow from my AC at all. All the reviews on amazon speak for themselves. My girlfriend recently stole this phone mount holder from me so I had to buy another one haha

u/Flnn · 3 pointsr/civic

Weew, that's a beauty. If you get itchy to change something, consider swapping the side markers. Definitely my favorite thing that I've done aesthetically, and it took 5 minutes.

u/albatroopa · 2 pointsr/civic

You can get bulbs that fit. They have an LED driver that the wiring harness plugs into. As far as brands, I've got no advice. I bought mine for cheap from some local guy that runs his business out of his house and I can't remember the brand.

Once your install is finished, you're going to want to check the beam alignment and height. You're also probably going to want to put ferrite cores around the wires as close to the LED drivers as feasible, or you'll get electromagnetic interference and your radio will play mostly static.

If you do your turn signals, you're going to need a load resistor (8 ohm, I think) in parallel with your lights so that you don't get a rapid blink.

Example of ferrite cores: https://www.amazon.com/eBoot-Pieces-Ferrite-Suppressor-Diameter/dp/B01E5E5IY4/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=17U3NAHEZG6Q5&keywords=ferrite+beads+snap+on&qid=1557170122&s=gateway&sprefix=ferrite+&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=A2C3AMRQC5GI7N

I went with these because they were not chrome but https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0762361W9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

these seem to be good too, are a bit cheaper and have better reviews.

I am a bit concerned about how close they are to the bumper, so I put a small bit of rubber in between the bumper and the exhaust tip and I'll see how it goes

u/bravo6960 · 2 pointsr/civic

the steelies look better with the hub caps off to me. I have seen a chrome lip for steel wheels https://www.amazon.com/Chrome-Plated-Stainless-Steel-Rings/dp/B00GIA297I

What do you think about that addition to separate the rims from the tires? Do you think it would be too much? Nice car.

u/Brecz · 2 pointsr/civic

Amazon Bumper Lights

This link to Amazon has a review where a guy talks about the install. This is the best I have found as far as installing these lights. If you find something else, let me know. I might go down this path myself in a few months so I will keep you updated if I do.

u/Azcatraz · 2 pointsr/civic

I got a pair of LED H11 bulbs, these, to replace my low beams, and they match the running lights very well. They also seem to be a good brightness where I can see far ahead without blinding other drivers.

u/long_meats · 2 pointsr/civic

I recommend getting the aftermarket head unit first before the subwoofer/amp so you can skip needing a Line-Out Converter.

Tweeters can be installed easily if you order the factory tweeter trim pieces from one of the higher trims. The ones I ordered from this site actually came with factory tweeters already pre-installed in the trim pieces, but you'll need some wiring adapters to connect them to the door speakers.

The parts should be listed as something like this depending on your model:

Garnish Assembly, R Door Mirror XXXXXX (Tweeter) (Deep Black)

Garnish Assembly, L Door Mirror XXXXXX (Tweeter) (Deep Black)

I bought these for my '17 EX

https://www.amazon.com/CougarMotor-Headlight-Bulbs-All-Conversion/dp/B01H6NZ7D8/

They are fantastic and work perfectly. Also got the T10 cabin lights as a combo purchase for less than a $1. Couldn't be happier with them. The beam pattern isn't to high that it blinds other drivers and they look a hell of a lot better and light up the road a lot more. I've had them for about a month now and drive mostly at night.

u/GonadsOfWrath · 4 pointsr/civic

I do not recommend any LED bulbs because as I stated, 27/27 LED bulb+halogen headlamp combinations failed photometric testing. They created too much glare and/or not enough seeing distance. Don't bother with LEDs if you have halogens. Only use halogens.

And especially don't fuck with Morimoto. That is literally the scum of the earth. I have two of their fucking $1500 Ford F-150 LED headlamps in my lab and it is literally a piece of shit. No quality control between units to start with, and the plastic is some Chinese shit that barely lasts 3 years of sun exposure without clouding the fuck up. They come with a laughable "5 year" warranty, they prob cost like $100 to make in China, and they refused to spec a better plastic, going instead with the literal cheapest polycarbonate they could find--they used some Chi Mei Ching Chong Love You Long Time Wonderlite which is only rated for 3 years of durability. This is the same plastic formulation used for chocolate boxes and shit.

http://www.chimeicorp.com/en-us/products/plastics/pc/

There are plastics that are rated for at least 5 years of UV exposure, but nope, gotta milk the people when selling them lighting "upgrades" for $1500.

For LX/EX Hatches the only decent exhaust tip choice we have are https://www.amazon.com/Salusy-Exhaust-Muffler-Outlet-Honda/dp/B01GPS4AHE/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=salusy+exhaust+tip&qid=1570483961&sr=8-1 (which is what I have). You can adjust the position and then screw in the bolts.
