Thanks! Sure thing, I'll post a whole set of instructions for anyone that wants them:

The glue I used was: Mod Podge. It's a glue and a sealant. It's technically water based and non-toxic but reeked of chemicals. You can use another sealer/finish/varnish if you want to, but I found the coat I got at the end to be satisfactory.

1. Obviously find a cabinet that suits your needs and is in good condition unless you're buying new. I found this one for $50 on Craigslist with some scratches and just a small dent on the bottom right hand corner of the lower cabinet. You could probably even find a better offer if you do some more searching and negotiating.
   
   
2. Put it where you want to work on it, I recommend somewhere close to where it's going to be put since they're heavier than you would think.
   
   
3. Put newspaper under it since glue is guaranteed to get on it.
   
   
4. Cut up your comics. This took a good amount of time, but I ended up cutting way more than I needed.
   
   
5. Remove the lock, handles, and metal name plate/frame. All of them were relaviely simple to figure out to remove. You'll probably just need a screwdriver and a set of pliers.
   
   
6. Begin using your glue. Put down a thin coat, lay down the picture flat (watch out for air bubbles!) then put a coat on top. Continue until you cover everything and get it looking how you want it.
   
   
7. I then put 4-5 coats waiting about a half hour for it to dry between coats.
   
   
8. Re-attach the handles, etc. I left the lock assembly out since the old owner didn't give me the keys to begin with.
   
   
9. Then put your comics in and organize as you wish.

If you still have them, I would love to take those Transmets off your hands. Don't have anything off your list, but have bunch of Batman, and a couple other DC and Vertigo crime/horror stories. Stuff like: Area 10 , The Other Side, a copy of V for Vendetta TPB in perfect shape. Batman would include: The Dark Knight Returns TPB, The Greatest Batman Stories ever told TPB, The Greatest Joker Stories Ever Told TPB, Batman Black and White vol. 1 TPB. Batman: Dead To Rights TPB. Let me know if you are interested in any of those. Or if you have any other TPBs or Graphic Novels you would get rid of. Thanks.

For shipping 1-2 books, these along with two/three pieces of double corrugated cardboard (Rooms-To-Go is the best spot for farming this) can't be beat. As long as you're printing your own postage, It'll come out to about $2.75-$3.15. That's really secure and very cheap.

3-5 books, I use a priority flat rate envelope, two pieces of cardboard and then that goes into a padded flat rate envelope. If you use thinner cardboard, you can fit maybe 7-8 but that always seems risky to me.

6+ books go in a box with good card board sandwiches and bubble wrap/void fill. I know I can safely ship about 20 books in a medium flat rate box.

Priority really ends up being your friend as long as you're printing your own labels and getting the online/ebay/paypal discount.

i do not use buble wrap mailers. i put them in bags and boards, all the online stores i buy from seem to love them for some reason. first thing i do is remove them so i've usually got a huge pile of them. and then i put them in a specially made mailer for comics.
