Tuning a table saw
Leecraft makes a ZCI for old Craftsman tablesaws The depth on my table is 3/32" which is just shy of 1/8" but you should definitely measure the depth to make sure of the dimensions you need.
Aligning the arbors is easiest with a PALS kit
If you're trying to save money (or you don't like the whine of a link belt) I'd recommend a cogged v-belt instead. The length you need may vary based on your motor and setup. Some others recommended just using a regular v-belt and just removing the tension when not using the saw, but the cogged belt is quite inexpensive, doesn't whine (like the link belt), improves power transmission efficiency a little bit vs. the regular v-belt, and solves the vibration problem without needing tension removed the way a normal v-belt would.
Thanks for the reply!
Haha it was mostly just because a lot of the threads online about cast iron table saws and rust seem to warn against it. I have a ROS but no belt sander so that definitely could be an option. I did stick one of these on the ROS and go over the top after electrolysis and it did an okay job of cleaning up and smoothing out the area to the left of the blade opening and miter slot (it was comparable to the right section. I'll post an update after I have a chance to work on it some more this weekend!
