6. Allen & Heath ZEDi-10 Hybrid Compact Mixer/4x4 USB Interface
- The compact ZED range of mixers feature the same high-level audio and build quality as A&H’s large format touring consoles, with separate internal channel boards, Neutrik connectors and every pot fixed to the chassis.
- GS-Pre XLR microphone preamps, developed from those featured in the highly acclaimed GS-R24 studio console, these provide exceptionally low noise, massive headroom and plenty of clean gain for a full, warm sound that brings the best out of any microphone. Two HiZ connections also allow direct connection of high impedance sources such as electric, electro-acoustic or bass guitars and most clip or stick-on pickups for acoustic instruments, without the need for a separate DI box.
- A 100Hz High Pass Filter on every mono input allows unneeded low frequencies to be removed, then the 3-band MusiQ EQ uses carefully selected frequencies to ensure your sound sculpting is always musical. Cut or boost high, mids and lows to get the tone you’re after without the fear of going wrong!
- Quick switch monitoring options paired with a clear powerful headphone amplifier originally developed for XONE DJ mixers, ensure you can monitor exactly what you need to, when you need to and with any headphones.

I ordered this a few minutes ago, I think it will be good for on the go Cubase work now. Thanks for the help! https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-BENGOO-External-Converter-Headset/dp/B072BMG9TB/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
I wonder if this could be used to make this workflow a little easier: Plugable USB 3.0 Sharing Switch for One-Button Swapping of USB Device/Hub Between Two Computers (A/B Switch) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00JX3Q28Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_wDfzCb7WVB0R3
I'd highly recommend getting a short (6in/10cm or less) USB extension cable and keep your eLicenser plugged into it instead of directly to your computer.
If your licenser is on the end of a short piece of wire, you lower the risk of someone bumping your computer and breaking it. You also save wear and tear on the plug since it stays plugged into the wire.

Thank you for the feedback! The Behringer U-Control that I have is the silver colored one, like this one...https://www.amazon.com/Behringer-UCA202-BEHRINGER-U-CONTROL/dp/B000KW2YEI/ref=sr_1_2?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1512068272&sr=1-2&keywords=behringer+u-control
My keyboard is connected to a Xenyx mixer, the mixer is connected to the macbook via the U-Control. I suppose I have to add the U-Control to my Cubase Input through Device Set up first? I don't have any MIDI connection, I believe this is purely digital connection, no MIDI connections.
Ah, I see; thanks. This is the one I bought: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0017H4EBG/
So I guess I need to first find a driver for it, then?
That's about a $200 piece of kit. Allen & Heath makes a similar prodect for about the same price, but with 4 in and 4 out. Might as well return it and get what you really want/need.

Well if you have a dmx dimmer pack you can just get a midi to dmx converter https://www.amazon.com/DecaBox-MIDI-to-DMX-Converter/dp/B00N36JQG2
That setup should allow you to do rough mixes if you have a decent set of headphones.
