Eh, I am pretty good at photoshop. Looks like a dude in a black bodysuit with a wearwolf mask for halloween that someone took a picture of, color corrected and added two white dots on the eyes. Maybe added a gaussian blue effect over the top.
Doing all of that from scratch wouldn't yield a photo like this - at least, not with a huge amount of effort.
Honestly a lot of my knowledge just comes from reading online. The Norse aspect of what I wrote comes from this site. A few books I've read that are relevant are Heather O'Donoghue's From Asgard to Valhalla which is about the development of Norse myths and their influence through time. Religions of the Ancient World I haven't read but I read a similar book by the same author (which I can't find) for a class and it was a good overview of ancient religions. Here are some books on Indo-European culture that seem reputable but I haven't read them. 1 and 2

Honestly, the 2 main mythological stories : Mahabharat and Ramayan are both metal as fuck.
They aren't really religious. You can read both as straight up high fiction.
Mahabharat is basically Indian GOT, and Ramayan is Taken on steroids. That being said, both are really about human learning about duty, responsibility and moral dilemmas.
