Edit: you already had a headphone stand, I missed it lol

Edit 2: disregard HDMI switch, thought thing in bottom left was PC.

This. Also OP, not necessary but to organize the cords get some cable ties off of Amazon. They're dirt cheap. To make it more gamer friendly, (if multiplayer, or use headphones) but a headphone stand. Something like this.

https://www.amazon.com/Headphone-New-Earphone-Supporting-Headphones/dp/B01GJQ7N94/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?adgrpid=56079388796&hvadid=274708798037&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=9001919&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1t1&hvqmt=e&hvrand=6591569231240397386&hvtargid=kwd-299114086706&keywords=headphones+stand&qid=1554330444&s=gateway&sr=8-3

Also recommend an HDMI Switch to go between PC and Console if you don't have one already.

https://www.amazon.com/gofanco-60Hz-Switch-remote-control/dp/B07L6KZC61/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?adgrpid=55494400545&hvadid=274680591729&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=9001919&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1t1&hvqmt=e&hvrand=7618591615831571246&hvtargid=kwd-307173574944&keywords=hdmi+switch+with+remote&qid=1554330522&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1

Lastly, to make it look really cool with gaming aesthetics, I recommend LED light strips, I don't own any personally, but the smart ones where you can set it to different modes and colors are really cool. I would not only cover the sides of your desk, I would do the monitor as well.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk, hope this helped OP :)

Ah see what you mean.

At first I was going to recommend a usb hub or port replicator but I dont think that would really solve anything. I think your best bet for managing your cables would be to use cable organizers. It should neaten up your desk a bit.

Perhaps use one of these up top and on the sides of your desk.

Then on the bottom for any excess you can try these cablox things. They are a bit pricey so, if you want to go the budget route, you can always use the adhesive squares along with zip ties to mount the cables under your desk.

Hope that helps a bit. Good luck.

Not sure about cable management in the case for but the desk...

I believe thats a malm desk so it has the rack in the back which means adding another won't be easy (really everything doesn't fit?). You could try using something like this or this with some 3m tape so you can mount the cables on the bottom of the desk so they aren't hanging. You could also wrap the cables to decrease the amount of slack using something like this. Any cables coming from the back of the monitors or the desk you can try using this. You could consider mounting your surge protector on the desk if it is not already so that no cables are dangling down to it and the only thing would be the surge protector wire.

Additional things you could look into would be a boom arm for the mic so its not sitting in the middle, might clean it up a bit. Also, if you are really dedicated to making it look nice and don't tend to rearrange that often, you could look into drilling holes for the wires for the keyboard/mouse (I'm personally not a fan of this method but people do it).

It might take a bit of cash to do ALL of that so maybe just prioritize what you think will give the best results.

Couple of questions, Does your keyboard have a bluetooth switcher build in? the biggest issue would be the mouse. If you are okay with switching your peripherals when you with OS then all you really need is a switch. I do it with my gaming PC and my MacBook, but I use the input switch on my monitor.

If you want a physical button:
https://www.amazon.com/HDMI-Switch-4K-Splitter-Bi-Directional/dp/B079JQ9XXV/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2FE4FZP2XI49L&keywords=hdmi+switch+2+input+1+output&qid=1573494794&s=electronics&sprefix=hdmi+switch+2+in%2Celectronics%2C159&sr=1-1
^^^This is a nice elegant switch you could stick under your desk and push to switch.

If you want a keyboard that switches I personally like Logitech stuff and I am not sure about a mouse that switches. Hope this helps let me know id you have any more questions!

I gotta tell you that glass desk top makes it a lot harder to hide the wires 😂 it looks pretty good from what I saw... if your up for it you could run wires through the wall and out at one place where you need them. It will eliminate that cable sleeve I think I see. You can find a small kit on amazon or something that helps you guide a bunch of cables in through one hole in the wall and out through another

maybe something like this

u/Drusanvil · 2 pointsr/desksetup

I've had a request to write a guide to the L.E.D's so below is a brief guide to how I have achieved this. Sorry for poor quality it's been a long week and am pretty tired.

If I've missed anything or you have any questions feel free to let me know for a view of how I built the desk itself please see Desk build

Things you will need

WS2812B addressable LED strips (this is important to make sure you use the correct ones) I went with WS2812B (side note because these are addressable so signal only goes one way so refer to the arrows on the strip)

Corsair Lighting Node pro or Commander Pro

Molex 50-57-9403 Female paired with Molex 16-02-0102 these will connect the strips straight to the hub on the Molex you will see a small arrow this is for the power (5v) middle is for signal and the third is ground to make extensions (if you want) Molex 70107-0002 Male paired with Molex16-02-0114Molex

To make extensions (if you want) Molex 70107-0002 Male paired with Molex16-02-0114

The cable I used was just strands from a bunch of network cable I had spare soldering iron, Heatshrink, BTF-Lighting and crimping tool.

3 pin connectors (this last one is optional)I found soldering onto the strips cleanly beyond the level of my gear/Skill lol so I used these and cut one end off.

A mini USB cable.

Before I went ahead and sealed the led's in the epoxy I had to test them out to ensure it all worked.

Using one of the BTF connections I cut one end off and crimped one of the female Molex's on and connecting to the lighting node pro (hub)using a spare PSU I had, Luckily all worked well and the strips lit up.

I connected the hub to my laptop via a mini USB cable and confusion set in as half the LEDs went out. After some tearing my hair out and searching the net I managed to find out that for some reason the Hub only supports up to 60 led's per channel which luckily enough for me was the perfect length for my build.

I decided I wanted the led movement to travel towards the centre of the desk so split the strips into 4 equal lengths of 30 and connected two strips to each other. Shitty paint diagram incoming (It's late and I'm tired so sue me)Shitty

Long term I am going to connect an external 5v power supply to the power and ground and have just the signal cable going to the hub. But for now, I have the hub attached to the rear of the pc case with the SATA cable going through an external panel and have a mini USB cable connected to an external port.

Just got this one as a vertical monitor alongside my curved Samsung 27”. Works with vesa mounts and the mount it comes with allows you to rotate it, if that’s something you’re interested in like I was. Great value at $109
