You will probably need more than 3000W, 2x your max power is usually recommended especially because it contains heating elements and will have a huge inrush current.

I recommend something closer to 5000W (because they are usually available at 1000W, 1500W, 2200W, 3000W and 5000W) like this one on amazon.ae. You can get a similar one from dragon mart faster and probably much cheaper.

I have one that is either 2200W or 3000W that sometimes makes a low humming noise, and other times is perfectly quiet.

I'm actually a graphic designer and a gamer myself so i understand your plight. You'll definitely want an IPS display because they offer the best quality in color reproduction and viewing angles. I'm on my phone atm, but I'll link a few different models when i get a sec.

Here's a few different models. You definitely want an IPS display though if you're working with photos.

Get yourself a copy of this

Everything is very simply laid out and easily explained. I follow this now and feel really comfortable with it.

Regarding tax, no, not taxable if you’re a non resident. You would be liable for tax if you returned home then sold your investments for a profit. But sell beforehand then you’re fine.

I recommend buying a guidebook such as this. It has all the interesting things to see and do, plus maps, info on getting around, etc. Then if you have any specific questions not covered in the guide, you are welcome to ask them here.

So I've recently ordered a laptop few months ago. It was this one

Since I used shop and ship I will try my best to answer your questions.

1- It is reliable, I checked the laptop as soon as I received and there no physical damages that I could see. It is still going strong few months later, I only needed it for college.

2- You can safely assume it will be less than 4KG, however just in-case, calculate if it goes over to 5KG. Better be prepared.

3- I never had this issue, if they do, just contact them with live support chat , call them, or just send them an e-mail. They reply within one or two business days.

4- Unfortunately I do not remember how much I got charged for the tax, but I believe that if your order goes above 1000 DHS, you get 5% or 10% taxes. Again, better be prepared for 10%.

So what happened is this. I ordered the laptop from Amazon, got shipped to the address in USA, and reached Dubai. Then it got stuck there. They contacted me by phone and e-mail asking me for the invoice of the order ( you can download this from Amazon as a PDF, do not worry about it ) and a copy of my ID. They processed it and it moved the next day to my emirate.

Always be prepared, the only thing I was afraid of is having it Dead On Arrival (DOA) and then I would have to ship it back.

Son, I proscribe to you a reading therapy, to be ingested when convenient:
https://www.amazon.com/Economics-Paul-Samuelson/dp/0073511293

Just read the introduction first, no need to go much further to find some answers.

On the flipside - it's great that you're rethinking basic premises of economy and/or world, that's how great ideas (and companies) are born.

I got this one as it has pretty good ratings and it ships directly to UAE. Let's see it it's any good after it arrives which will be a while as it was somehow send to Riyadh by mistake :).

Interesting, it's literally the exact same calculator! Lol
Found this on Amazon AU https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0089QSATA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_c_MR3VCbJWN7Y17
It's on the list, and they seem to be shipping it to the UAE.
Search amazon for the 100AU, it doesn't pop up for me for some reason.

Ace, Crate and Barrel and I think Lakeland has them too.
I would recommend getting a carbon steel skillet instead since they heat up quite fast and you always end up getting a beautiful sear.

Got this on prime day for USD 22. Excellent value for money.

Awesome job, I'd go for more RAM though. I recently (during Xmas holdidays) went through a major rig update myself, but opted for ordering from Amazon.com using Aramex shop & ship (granted, my update was just PSU, GPU & RAM). Was a good experience apart from the fact that the initially ordered PSU on Black Friday was freaking 2mm too long (I f*cked up the PSU slot measurement of my case).
So in case any of you want a brand new Ferrari of the PSU's aka EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2, 80+ PLATINUM 1000W let me know. I sell it at 169.99 USD (my price paid to Amazon without shipping). The upmarks on PSU's @ Al Ain Centre or gearup.me are 70-100% compared to Amazon prices. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EKJQM5E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Order it directly from Amazon. Will cost you around 1230 AED including shipping and yes it supports voltage anywhere in the range of 110 and 240 volts.

You can grab a Vitamix from Tavola in-store or online. Straight from Amazon will save you about AED 800 after shipping. Amazon will deliver to your door, usually through Aramex.

$430 is the cheapest I've seen, from Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B01GXOX2BU/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new

I've been following the prices of 1070/1080 and hoping they'll come down by a fair bit as they all seem to be quite a bit over the RRP that nVidia talked about at the launch conference.

I second Plantronics. I've been using these Backbeat Fit ones for over 2 years and they've been great so far.

Before these, I used to use these Jaybird BlueBuds but they stopped working after only around 6 months or so due to sweat. The battery stopped holding any charge.

I liked the Jaybirds for their noise-cancellation and heavy bass, but the fact they didn't last long and weren't entirely sweat-resistant like they were supposed to be put me off that company.

The Plantronics on the other hand, while not as snug a fit as the Jaybirds (probably the model I have) I still rate higher since they've lasted this long and are very sweat-proof.
