/r/treecipes is a good reference. When I make butter (which you're reminding me I should do soon......), I use about 1/8th of vaped bud to maybe 1/2 cup of butter... maybe a while cup of butter... I think it's different every time and I use the big blocks of butter. Anyway, you boil water and plop the butter in and then the bud and let that simmer for a few hours then strain it through cheesecloth (to get the herb out) into a tupperware and pop that in the fridge overnight. Wake up to butter that has solidified atop water. Pop out the butter and use in regular recipe for choice baked good.

I typically use 1/2 cannabutter and 1/2 regular butter (or crisco) in whatever given recipe I choose. Peanut Butter cookies are my favorite things to make since the vaped bud butter flavor blends nicely with peanut butter. Do you own a cookbook - like Betty Crocker's Big Red Cookbook or something similar? I grew up with the classic Betty Crocker binder (my mom's from the 70s, she still has it and uses it) and I have my own updated one my mom gave to me in 2004. They now have ring-bound (non-binder) versions that will probably last longer (my binder ring's haven't closed right since 2006 while my mom's original binder book is still in great condition... better quality back then I suppose).

Sorry for getting side-tracked... but I own dozens of cookbooks and use most of them semi-regularly but if the house was burning and I could choose to save one (priorities, right?), it would be my Betty Crocker. Well, it would also be my Great-Grandma's handwritten cookbook and other family cookbooks because I'm selfish and I'm already in the kitchen grabbing cookbooks...

Anyhow. I'm a Betty Crocker girl, it's where I learned all the basics and essentials. I highly recommend picking up one of these or similar online or at a bookstore (they're often in discount bookstores too!) to help kickstart your kitchen adventures. Far better for a beginner than any celebrity book or specialty book I can think of. Or just find some cookie recipes online or try making some brownies from scratch and substitute 1/2 of the butter called for with cannabutter.

I’m so sorry for what you’re going through, it sucks when these things are not in our control. Another commenter mentioned doing some yoga, and I agree- there are a lot of good free classes online. You could start with some slow, even breathing ( inhale for a count of 4, exhale for 4) and then begin to extend the exhale (inhale for 4, exhale for 6)- this will activate the relaxation function in the parasympathetic nervous system.

I’ve been taking this adrenal health supplement for quite a while and I really notice a calming effect. I like tulsi tea for that as well.

The Overwhelmed Brain podcast has been a great help to me.

Also, I don’t know how cleanly you’ve scraped all your jars and bowls, but I’ve been surprised with scraps in times of need before.

You are not alone! Up until a few weeks ago I would have never turned to anyone in my life for the things I talked about online. I’ve gotten a great amount of support from strangers on Reddit, there is no shame in that. Sending you love and support!!

Congrats!! As somebody who would choose psychedelics over drinking every time, maybe a cool toy!

I like this one a lot: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014M8IP9S/ref=asc_df_B014M8IP9S5167924/?tag=hyprod-20&creative=395033&creativeASIN=B014M8IP9S&linkCode=df0&hvadid=216571817263&hvpos=1o3&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2797890923168086117&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9013196&hvtargid=pla-349989905210

I've been reading a pretty great book called "the Mindful Marijuana User". It's kind of awesome: more interesting history about spiritual use without getting all woo-woo, and some very simple and useful techniques for making your experience with it more meaningful and intentional. Highly recommended (and free if you have Kindle Unlimited)

Couple things:

First, one thing for me was just working on eating better in general. I used to eat 3 meals a day but I would also have times where I would binge like crazy on snacks between meals. Just planning my meals/snacks did a ton for this.

Second, I kinda realized that half the reason I had "the munchies" wasn't because I was actually really hungry, it's just that food is so awesome when you're high. So I started keeping around hard candies and stuff like that I could suck on for a few minutes, which more than satisfied the food craving. I'd really recommend Hopjes

And for reference, I'm a daily smoker when I can, 22 y/o I'm just a hair over 6ft (IK I'm a pretty big outlier here) and I've gone from just over 200 pounds about 2 years ago down to 136 when I had my last checkup a few weeks ago. (Shoutout to Boulder Valley Women's Health for being awesome btw)

Happy to help! If you're interested in learning more about the mysterious ways of the menstrual cycle, and what actually goes on every month, I highly recommend this book. Some women use it to get pregnant, others (like me) use it to identify their most fertile days in order to avoid pregnancy, and some just use it to learn more about their own bodies. I personally wish I someone had handed this book to me when I was a teenager. It's a truly empowering experience to understand your own body, I must say. If you're not quite convinced, check out the gazillion positive reviews on amazon and elsewhere.

I HIGHLY recommend getting this book! I had my first daughter last NYE and this book was the saving grace of my pregnancy. Anything you can possibly think of is in there; stages of pregnancy for your body and baby, what to/not to eat, how certain medications affect you, suggestions on how to deal with multi-religious families, lists of what to buy and lists of the fun extras, and on and on and on. Every twinge I felt, every bump, gurgle, heartburn, fart- it was all explained in there. Very, very helpful were the recall lists and why certain baby toys/furniture/etc. are dangerous.

One thing I learned: when you get pregnant you stop shedding hair at the rate you normally do (everywhere on your body!), and then after you give birth it goes back to shedding like normal- it appears that you're losing all your hair and going bald when it starts falling out again, I swear! :)

Congratulations!

This is the first DVD I used to try and learn belly dance (and to work out) and I loved it! I even like her warm up. The turbo hips is very hard as a beginner, but I liked it because it meant I had could keep using the dvd after I was more skilled. I checked it out initially on Netflix and they have a pretty large selection of belly dance dvd's to rent, so you can try a bunch of different styles without having to buy a lot of dvd's or attend a lot of classes. Then you can figure out what style you enjoy the most and focus on it, or start fusing all the styles!

It's gonna be okay. You got this! I haven't had to take a break, but my SO has changed jobs many times since we've gotten together. My only recommendations are to hydrate (I try to drink half my weight (in lbs.) in ounces every day; also, they swear by Herbal Clean Qcarbo Liquid Detox Supplement. Congrats on this opportunity, OP! Great things are in store for your future!

My bathtub is one of my top 5 places to get stoned. Lucky enough to have a killer bathtub as well as a great view of awesome trees and sky, out of a couple windows in my bathroom on the 2nd floor.

I recommended the other day one of those clear plastic things that go over your overflow drain thing that let you get a couple more inches of goodness!

I don't think it's too bad. Definitely has a smell but it clears fast.

I also like to have one of these Smoke Odor Exterminator candles going while I toke inside. You can find them at tobacco stores (Clothesline Fresh and Rasta Love are my favorites) and they are INCREDIBLE. I'll come back into my room after a bong sesh and the smell is surprisingly faint.

Happy Monday!

Had a relaxing weekend working on garden things. Planted some more seeds and potted some lavender plants I got in. It's getting close to warmer soil workable weather! Woo!

• I have 2 mugs that are my favorite one is this one from look human. I love it b/c it's so inconspicuous. Once my huuzbent put it out when we had my family over, my sister noticed and quietly put it back. And the other is this failed product of mine, the colors didn't come out great and they were expensive to make so I have a cupboard full of them.

• Working on season 2 of 'My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend', hilarious!! Just finished binging all of Buffy! It had been so long and I don't think I ever saw the entire series. Need some new shows to binge while I work though.

• I don't have any unusual accessories, a cool ass ashtray though

u/mossling · 2 pointsr/entwives

Yup! It looks all shipwrecked and forlorn. I like getting stoned and making up stories about it. I found mine locally, but here it is on Amazon. I had to sand down a few rough edges to protect my dude's fins, but other than that, it's pretty awesome.

u/MantaDelRay · 2 pointsr/entwives

We buy the Duplos when they're smaller because we don't want them to choke on the pieces or whatever, but we still can buy all different sets and add to sets they already have.

We try to pay attention to what they like. One niece is very girly, so we get her dolls that she really loves playing with. Her little sister is into bears and dinosaurs at 2 years old, so she got a stuffed bear from the World Wildlife Federation (so it was kind of pricey, but it goes towards a good organization), and a book called Dinosaur Vs. School or something along those lines.

Edit: Found the book!

This is my favorite inscent. I have to order it online because no shop in my town sells this specific box. I am also a big fan of lavender oil, so i have a couple of oil burners with that in it around the house. I also make a lemon eucalyptus h20 spray to help keep fleas and fruit flies outta the house. Recently I have gotten into the scent of cedar. my favorite uncle made me a huge ceder chest as a wedding gift. 😍 that smell. Nag Champa Red

I really loved the Horrible History books when I was around that age. They're like snarky history comic books filled with puns :)

If she's still into photography there's lots of cameras designed for younger kids. This one is particularly cool and I, as an adult lady, would be stoked to get this.
