I'd get a bluetooth keyboard that has a trackpad built in also. If you can't click into the box you need to do the typing, it's a moot point. The trackpad lets you get a cursor on screen and point/click wherever you want. Another option is using a remote mouse app and then you get mouse and keyboard functionality from your phone. It's a good option for rare use cases. You don't want to return whatever device you get, because a lot of these apps log you out after a certain amount of time and you'd need to be able to enter your password again in that case. Could be the TV/Bracket causing the issue. I had a bracket that completely swallowed the WIFI signal and the router was one floor up less than 7 feet away. I got a HDMI extender, got it off the TV and it worked fine.

works fine. buffering could also be your internet connection not your router.

And put it on the end of the FireStick you can plug the hdmi cable directly into the stick.
Drill a hole into the freezer and run the hdmi cable from the TV to the freezer.
