I use Mane n Tail. Technically made for horses but they figured out it works great for people too. Especially for the problem described above. I use the conditioner leave-in (directions on can, but basically I put it in after I shower). Be careful not to use this shampoo too much; I never use it more than three times a week at this point. You should definitely take it slow with the shampoo, but the conditioner is key: you experiment with how much grease/conditioner (same thing for like 12 hours after you shower) you want in your hair to obtain the perfect level of greasiness/dryness

I started shaving with a Dovo straight razor shavette about 8 years ago. For blades Merkur or Feather are recommended, I'm on Feather at the moment.

I went with a Basel haired shaving brush and good shaving soap for a while but have found the shaving oils like King of Shaves work best for me.

Wouldn't go back.

You just made me google "smiley barf slurp toy". I hope you're happy.

EDIT: Honestly, I think discovering this was worth the inevitable Japanese toy ads I will be receiving in the future.

A simple clip-on works like a charm, like this.

I use a ModMic 4 and it looks something like this: http://i.imgur.com/o3ZzAUu.jpg

It's detachable and has amazing performance

Maybe you should google how cable is laid in existing walls, I doesn't seem to me that you think it's possible. I understand that nobody will do it for free, or even cheap, and that someone has to come inspect and certify it afterwards depending on location.

I'm not sure what you mean with your sentence 'And a motor starter.' Do you mean it would have to be a combustion engine that needs a starter? Do you mean a motor controller? If you like I can show the complete hardware and wiring for a setup like this, so that you can build this yourself.

Here is a kit for $655 that does this with buttons instead of the sensor in the hand sanitizer. Even if it was $1000 and it took two people at $20/hr a full working day to install this one in one bathroom kit, it would not be $5000.

Maybe you just didn't properly read what I said.

This is the Doggies book by Sandra Boynton. It's awesome, as in it's not horribly mind-numbing for parents to read with the babies. All her stuff is great.

If you still have trouble with pulling on walks, I highly highly recommend trying a gentle leader if you haven't already! It loops around the dog's snout (it doesn't hurt and isn't a muzzle, they can still open their mouths normally) so that if they pull on the leash, it redirects their head toward you. It's much easier to help your dog learn the limits of the leash if you're controlling their head rather than a harness that goes around the strongest part of their body! The gentle leader + treats method is how I finally got my stubborn pitbull to learn how to walk with a loose leash (thank god)

You're welcome! Gotta do something with that undergrad degree from a seminary.

Oh, I didn't answer the limitations part. Right, in theory the Pope could use the "formula" of saying I am about to declare something infallibly, but it would have to be on a matter of faith and morals (as per Vatican 1 which formalized the doctrine in 1870). Additionally, Catholics believe it couldn't contradict other infallible statements, including the ordinary infallibility of the magisterium. So, for example, Francis can't overturn anything already considered part of the deposit of the faith (this excellent book lists all Catholic Dogma and its "tier"). Stuff that is considered in the highest tier could never be overturned by future popes without the whole house of cards falling down. So far it hasn't happened, though: changes have always been to the lower tier things, or in ways that maintain the entire truth of a top tier item but see it in a different light. For example "outside the Church there is no salvation" is a fundamental dogma, but it used to be interpreted as literal membership in the visible Church, while Vatican 2 redefined it to still mean "all salvation comes from the Church, i.e. from Christ", but those who are visibly outside of the Church on earth may still be able to attain salvation, but that salvation comes through the Church even if not part of it. Provided their non-membership is due to no fault of their own, etc etc.

Example of the tiers and items from each tier are here: http://catholicism.org/the-three-levels-of-magisterial-teaching.html

You could also spend $10 and get something premade, like this Esbit stove

Or toss a few more bucks and get this alcohol burning thing
coupled with this stand, which also blocks wind, and packs very light. This stove burns denatured alcohol, but you could burn other things, like isopropyl (isoHEET), but things like that burn more "dirty."

Dog stairs like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Solvit-PupSTEP-Plus-Pet-Stairs/dp/B000MD57OO (They're good for elderly dogs of any breed, also)

For stumpier-legged dachshund mixes, ramps might be better than stairs.

If you slice bagels with any regularity at all, I highly recommend getting a Guillotine slicer. I bought one six months ago and every bagel is now sliced perfectly

Get one of those maze bowls they work great

Edit, link to amazon:

You can't be Jewish and not like bagels

Also, you should just get a bagel guillotine, they are only ~$15 and are great. Way easier/faster to cut a bagel and they always come out perfectly.

u/Quipkeeper · 1 pointr/gifs

Not as well rated as I had hoped.

Amazon.

They sell lever locks in the child proofing section of most stores. Maybe that could help until you figure out a pup training idea?

They also have top of the door locks like this

We had a Houdini dog once too

u/phobos2deimos · 1 pointr/gifs

Quick, simple, cheap, just go for it. Better than not having one at all. I'm prone to analysis paralysis but this is definitely a thing to just get it done. Don't forget a micro SD card. I like lexar's for cheap stuff.

u/-cupcake · 100 pointsr/gifs

Except it's not a baby monitor. As /u/rdunlap1 and /u/svenborgia pointed out in comments further below it's this light projector and sound machine. Looks like he was trying to turn it on but couldn't figure it out, especially since he unplugged the cord too lol.

u/yourfaceisgreen · 1 pointr/gifs

Shit dude, if you're gonna go for something like that there are plenty of pro-sumer lavalier (lapel) mics that are cheaper than that.

Just clip something like this on your shirt and go to town.

Honestly that ModMic is no better than the headsets that are aimed specifically at gamers. For $50 you can get a damn good (non-wireless) lapel mic that'd be professional enough for actual TV stations to use.

If you watch carefully the razor holding part of the item is hollow and accepts replacement blades. Here is an amazon link for a unit very similar. It takes single edge blades and is very much a 'straight razor'.

u/Mr_Original_II · 76 pointsr/gifs

just ordered one

Edit to add the link provided by whisker-biscuitt, the real hero here.
just ordered 6 more. with Prime!

Nobody I know tried this but maybe it would make your wife's hair better.

I would like to contribute to this oddly satisfying beer thread.

I think he's right. Sure looks like this to me.

u/Universerob · 3 pointsr/gifs

Has no one ever heard of a head collar? Best $20 you can spend if you have medium to large dog that pulls on a leash.

On sale for $10 on Amazon right now.

You should probably remove all of the referral crap. I think there are rules against that on reddit.

I also added the smile at the beginning for charity.

u/alilquicker · 3 pointsr/gifs

Lol! no, it's a light projector/sound machine. here.

u/metalheadmae6 · 1 pointr/gifs

Dude... You need a bagel guillotine. My parents got one a few years back and it works wonders

Edit: Here's a link to it on Amazon

use this guy. It slows down feeding time so they don't inhale their food which causes digestive issues.

u/DinsdalePiranhaJr · 3 pointsr/gifs

Had to get one of these for my Lab/Pyr mix. Removes the possibility of swallowing a rock.. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00L3O4JI6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_9DrTBbCKDVAP9
