I figured out a fairly inexpensive and reasonably close build using wound dressing:

Any gray dye can be used to darken it. Once it's dry again, stretch it a little with your fingers and then flip it inside out. Looks just like snake skin.

I've seen people buying snake skin scarves and others just using a wide shoe lace. A little work can get nearly screen accurate though.

Oh, I’m glad you asked. I got these on Amazon. I couldn’t find The right shade of silver for the side shields, so I just got them in gold instead. It turns out, in the right lighting, they make it appear that it is silver. Here’s a link:

Found a great pair of knockoffs on Amazon - all the knockoffs seem to have an additional bar welded horizontally across the top of the frames, but I was able to pop it off with a pair of pliers since they're cheap.
