Two things that may help. One is obvious and free but needs to be stated if we're troubleshooting. The other costs 30 bucks but it totally helped me.

First: UNPLUG ALL THE THINGS! Your router, your modem and your Xbox. Router and Modem are obvious but if your Xbox is set to "Always On" or "Quick Boot" or whatever it's called. The state that allows it to launch quickly when you push the big shiny button on your controller. Change that setting (in your Power menu) and set it to the other option so your Xbox completely shuts down when you turn it off.

It takes longer to power up but it totally helped me with this game, specifically.

Second (and this is a 'not-so-ideal' wifi solution): I'm further away from my router than I would like to be for a strong wifi signal. So I spent 30 bucks on this solution:

Love having this but what would make it amazing would be the ability to assign a hot key to set off a solo lobby.

I would love to be able to buy a panic button and play in populated lobby's and if someone starts taking shots at me when selling a bunker load I can quickly smack the panic button and kick off a solo session.

I am sure if you willing to invest a bit of money, you can do the 10 second trick, I have small switch on my desk, I have my routers wired, the flip the switch for 10 seconds and I am in my own solo lobby. This will avoid any setting changes.

I guess either find a friend who can make lobbies or join a friendly crew or buy a cheap switch.

Don't you need a specific dongle for the Xbox1 controllers? They could have fixed it but I was pretty sure you did.

There's a really excellent book called Blood, Sweat, and Pixels that talks about development on a bunch of different games. If you don't know a lot about game development, it's a very eye-opening read. It's kind of amazing that anything ever gets released at all.

I was playing on an HD7850 before it broke down. I'm going to get this one from my christmas money and savings though. you think that, alongside the dated CPU, will suffice to play the game at satisfying detail and record it as well?

I got this, it has nice feel and look. Only con is the driver was a little hard to find. Works fine without it though.

I'd go with the Blue Snowball Ice, it's a pretty decent mic for a usb one.
