BOOM. This is something i can help you with. Listen to me, i work with stuff like this all the time. Get a CAD u37. It's such a great condenser mic for the price! I have found that the best settings you can change that are on the mic itself is to keep the switches switched to the right. If you want, buy a pop filter but i just throw a sock over it. The purpose of filters is to break up wind to keep things from sounding muffled. Now onto programs...
Install Audacity (free) and record audio separately. Trust me, de-noising audio when your voice and the games audio is all one whole thing totally ruins the ambient game noises and muddies them up. And you will be de-noising if you're looking for that perfect clear sounding voice. Always experiment though before doing recordings for real. It sucks capturing such an awesome moment only for it to end up sounding like shit. Onto syncing...
There are a variety ways to sync your voice with gameplay footage. Some clap sync, but this is my method: Start recording, do some checks (1 2 1 2, check check) to make sure that your levels look good (you'll get used to how high yours typically peak through testing). I always say 'levels are good' if they are so that i saw they were upon reviewing it in post. I tab into the game. I hit my record hot key to record gameplay while in a server browser list, and i click to highlight servers each time as i say '1 2 3, 1 2 3'. In post you sync those both your audio in that point of time and the footage in that point of time up and you should be good to go. Now for settings...
Follow this guide. This guy is fast, straight to the point and no bs. Take from it as you will and experiment. Get to know what everything does. Figure out what works for you and what doesn't.
Things to note: On some games when you launch it, your mic sensitivity can shoot all the way up to 100 so always double check. In Windows, check your sound settings and properties of the mic to change it. Also un-check AGC if things are too loud or if you're picking up too much background noise. You really have to just play with everything little like this until you get what you're looking for. Some mics pick up the sound from fluorescent lights so turn those off if you ever get a whine, and even a 2-prong plug that you're drawing as a main source of power from can screw things up, so try and stick with a 3-prong (i guess because they're grounded?). If you have a stock CPU cooler that runs hot and loud, then it is time to upgrade. I got a new one recently, much better sounding audio and my room doesn't get 100+ degrees anymore (I'm not over exaggerating, i live in a desert).
It is all about finding a balance essentially and figuring out which settings work best with your setup. My work environment keeps on changing so I'm constantly undergoing issues and having to fix things. I'd share examples of stuff I've made, but it's not where i want it to be at yet and i also don't want it to come across as adverting in the comments section. Anyways, hope this helped! Your workflow will be different than mine as it is for everyone else. Take from this as you need.
As everyone else is saying, PLEASE optimize your CPU before anything else. Everything else on your rig is overkilling your Processor while this game is CPU dependent itself. As rekklessisme said, I have almost the identical setup as him and I can say he's telling the truth. This Is one of the best processors i've had by far.
Reply back if you need further help, i'd be happy to assist.
I have learned with H1Z1, that it behaves much better online with a hard line internet connection.
Also, I have found This 700w Power Supply far superior and roughly the same price as the 500w you choose.
Also, if you currently have a PC, you could in theory use the optical drive from it in your new build, save ya around $20. Optical Drives are not as necessary as they once were.
With that $20 savings you could get more ram, (I know you said you might upgrade down the road) but you can get something very value such as This 16gb Ram set for cheaper than the one on your list.
Although my personal opinion and recommendation would be This 16gb Ram Set.
Good Luck on your 1st Build!
Not really.
In an adult male with normal proportions the distance between the top of the head and the groin is the same as the distance between the groin and the feet. The original player model has these proportions. In your mock-up the torso is too short.
http://www.foundation3d.com/uploads/instruction/2008/10/17-10-622362.jpg
You'll also notice in this proportion chart that distance between the navel (which is in line with the elbow) and the knee is roughly the same as the distance between the shoulder and the groin. Once again the original model has these proportions and your altered image does not.
I think there is a bit of over-saturation with games that use exaggerated character models. You get used to it so when you see something that has correct anatomy it feels different. That doesn't make it wrong. I think what's "off" about the model that people are noticing is the rigging might need some work and the animations are a bit stiff. As far as I'm aware they're already reanimating the walk and run cycles.

Edit: These two books are excellent resources for anyone who is interested proportions and figure construction

I highly recommend this card:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L5GZG5C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
it's only $75 and it allows me to play H1Z1 on full render distance, at 1900x1000, and on high settings. I'd say it's one of the best value buys right now.
Guns and ammo. Lots of both.
Worth more than gold in an apocalypse.
You can't defend yourself with gold :)
But you can't go all guns and bullets, otherwise you'll just end up stealing from others and killing to survive. You have to have food, water, tools, camo as well.
If you're really interested, here's a good book by James Rawles:

Please note, this guy does survival for a LIVING. So you're not going to get as prepared as he is. It's just a good guide on what questions you should be asking yourself about your situation.
this one seems like one i could get i get it's a gtx 760 just don't understand the other stuff. will it work? and thanks for the help!

Well my point was it doesn't need to be too expensive. If you already have a computer ands a halfway decent graphics card, you can run surround/eyefinity with some fairly cheap monitors. 1080p@60hz is fine for most people who have not transitioned to 120 or 144hz. The ones in the OP look like a variation of these. Still, if you have some money to play around with it would be better to go for a higher refresh rate, assuming the graphics card will be able to run a game at that sort of resolution at a frame rate to take advantage of the higher refresh rate those offer. I would say a graphics card is easier to replace than 3 high-end monitors, but again it depends on the situation. One thing to consider is that older versions of HDMI were only able to carry 1080p at a max of 60hz while later versions that added UHD and 3D pushed beyond that.

Something like this can always help a Laptop ;)
Middle mouse button to chat with nearby players in game.
This is what I use for a mic. Works pretty well IMO.

If you wanted to get into gaming, you shouldn't have bought a mac. And as someone stated in a different comment, there is a program to get Windows on your Mac. Assuming that you can even run this game on your Mac book. It is not a very powerfull laptop. And they are expensive, you could have gotten a good gaming PC for the price of the Mac Book.
Here, (new) You could have gotten an extremely good Gaming PC for that price.
So something like this https://www.amazon.com/Intel-BX80684I78700K-Core-i7-8700K-Processor/dp/B07B3V185Y?th=1th=1
Buy an adjustable sensitivity mouse like. http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G7-Laser-Cordless-Mouse/dp/B000AY5Y5W
Otherwise I don't think you can
Here's a thought: maybe you shouldnt be dropping hundreds of dollars expecting a completed, bug-free game, when you knew full well that the game was still in alpha and would be prone to bugs.
Here's something you should spend a couple hundred dollars on instead.
Holyyyshiet.
well i have this monitor https://www.amazon.com/Acer-XB270H-Abprz-27-inch-Widescreen/dp/B00NUCRBCU
