For simplicity's sake, I'm going to assume you want to buy new. Buying used is a whole different ballgame, and you'd have to buy a phono preamp to listen to it.

The Audio-Technica AT-LP120 is the next step above your table. Notice features like the counterweight at the rear of the tonearm, and anti-skate. It's a really nice turntable and one of the most recommended new turntables. There is a sick deal on eBay right now if you can afford it. I would buy this right now if you could, the speakers are usually 350 and they're very nice as well.

If you're in the US, I would also recommend the U-Turn Orbit. It's not automatic and the speed has to be adjusted manually, unlike the LP120, but this is the table I have and I love it. If you get this one make sure you order the custom version and add the phono preamp and cue lever. I'd say this one has a better sound than the LP120, especially since you'd be using the preamp. The built in phono preamp is the biggest complaint about the LP120. Another plus to the Orbit is that it's almost 100% made in the US, save for a few trivial parts like circuit boards. I really like the aesthetics of the table too.

Like I said, if you can afford it, buy that bundle deal I showed you on ebay. It's too good to not pass up if you're looking for speakers. Let me know if you need more help, I'd be happy to. Cheers.

Yeah man it definitely is not the best player I would save for something different.

Audio Technica AT-LP60BK Fully Automatic Belt-Drive Stereo Turntable, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008872SIO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Ze9PBbN8PX02Q

This player is 100 bucks on amazon. I got it on holiday sale for 80 last year. It's far from high end but it will treat your records well and paired with some nice speakers it sounds just fine. It's a great beginning table. I used a player similar to yours for about a year because it was what i could afford before finally upgrading.

Just enjoy the hobby man! I know the struggle of wanting to buy more records instead of buying a better table lol

Edifier R1280T Powered Bookshelf speakers

These ones are pretty good they are just a little bulky I should say but they are very good from the reviews and go great with the LP60. I’m a little bit of a newb to this but from what I hear these are great but I don’t know anything on subwoofers but hopefully these speakers interest you

Eket > Kallax. Sheesh you guys. Single cube Eket just barely fits vinyl, but all other configurations fit them perfectly. Why is Eket better? It has a backboard so it can hold more weight and you don't have to worry about how far back your vinyl sits. Also Feet.

Also, the Novogratz turntable stand is nice. Perfect size for most Turntables and phono stages on top and underneath holds around 250 albums.

Ohhh.. yeah you def need to get a new table!

Hmmm it depends on what your budget is! There are bluetooth speakers for 300-450 $, that are really good.

One of my personal favorites is the Harman Kardon Onyx 3, and Audio Pro Addon C10.

But you choose whatever you feel like fits your budget and the one that sounds the best to you!

I picked up this sword at an entertainment store here in Dallas called The Movie Trading co. It’s meant to be a letter opener but I use it as a place holder so I don’t lose where the album I’m currently spinning goes on my shelf. Anyone else have a creative way of keeping track of where an album goes?

Edit: I looked online to see if I could find the sword I have and this is it for anyone interested. Only difference is the color.... while looking for it I found way cooler letter opener swords but some are kinda pricey.

I'm pretty sure you can also pre order this on Amazon for less money. Free shipping if you spend more than $35 too!

Shipping prices are always such a buzzkill when buying vinyl online.

I use these ... https://www.amazon.com/Micca-PB42X-Powered-Bookshelf-Speakers/dp/B00NXAEPDC

Even though they're only bookshelf speakers, I've used them to mix and master records like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BM2zIiIaR-I

I'm not sure what you're looking for, just speakers to bump music, or monitors for engineering. Either way, these speakers get pretty loud and I enjoy the sound they give me for the price.

It really just depends if you care more about displaying the record, as it is a picture disc and will have less of an audio quality, or if you do plan on playing it often.

If you do plan on playing it often, and putting it into something else, try these (which is also good for records with paper sleeves since paper can scratch your record a little): https://www.amazon.com/Diskeeper-Anti-Static-Record-Sleeves-Pack/dp/B00B1V2FA0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1485984124&sr=8-3&keywords=inner+sleeves

AT LP-120

Edit: The LP-120 is awesome. Here’s a link they are on sale at amazon right now. Use the extra $$ to get some extra accessories like a scale, a brush, plastic sleeves for your records, maybe a cleaning kit, a cork or leather mat, etc

Something like this looks nice. I have a similar shelf from ikea that uses screws instead of command strips that i really like. This will be non damaging though. I read briefly in the reviews that you should buy velcro command strips instead of the ones they provide if you plan on hanging something that isn’t super light (like records)

thanks man, good to know. I only ask because amazon has it listed with the family on the cover
