I am sure I am confusing a few things here. I used this process to Tuya-convert to flash firmware on some smart plugs. I now have "6.6.0.7(sonoff)" (Tasmota?) running on them. Now I would like to add them in homebridge well actually I am using hoobs. But as I understand it that is built on top of homebridge. So when I search both Tuya or tasmota in the npm plugins there are dozens of them. Do you have any experience with any of them and which ones are newest less crufty versions. Sorry I find all of the smart home stuff to be filled with little ways to go down wrong paths and waste days, I am trying to avoid going through all of them.

FYI if your only peeve with the Raspberry Pi is that it's headless, you can get a little LED screen that attaches to it, making it no longer headless: https://www.amazon.com/OSOYOO-Monitor-Display-Instructions-Raspberry/dp/B01N447AEY/

I’m home assistant with the home bridge plugin so not sure about home bridge only but I use Energenie MiHomelight switches . They don’t require a neutral and their bridge outputs to mqqt

Perhaps not what you're looking for but if you're primarily just trying to avoid electrical wiring, consider a light socket to plug adaptor. It won't work with all light fixtures but may work for you.

You can then just plug a camera in.
