Most slim cases by a reputable company will have adequate drop protection, paired with a tempered glass screen protector will take care of the rest. Just depends on how much you want to spend because there are expensive and inexpensive options for both.

I currently have a Lifeproof Slam in the neon green/grey combo (just because I like it)

I also have a clear Casemate case that is slightly slimmer, is supposed to be “anti-yellowing” feature (haven’t had it long enough to know of its true)

I kinda have to agree with you on that. The short warranty plus no drop protection, the case is overpriced. But for some reason it feels better than the other clear plastic cases out there. The rounded corners makes it feel like you're holding on to the phone naked😄

This one is the one with the aligning tool that doesn’t work.

Spigen do the same pack without the aligning tool, I bought it directly from their UK Website

You may need to do some research, I couldn’t find this product on their US website.

The difference when buying without the aligning tool is that the protectors come with little sticker tabs on the ends that you can use to hold it when installing without touching the screen or the protector.

Even if you don’t buy the spigen one I would highly recommend getting a full coverage protector, as its very concealed, people have asked me a few times why I don’t use a screen protector.
It’s almost invisible.

I use TYTHES from Amazon. It covers the sensors and camera and everything works fine. I like it because it doesn't show that you have a screen protector installed.
