These might be the same ones @jec6613 mentioned the other day, but I've had the best luck with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CFRCGKC/

Note that the 4-pack offers a better deal than the 8-pack.

Biggest issues I've run into with LEDs in general is that many are not meant to be used in "enclosed" fixtures.... let me know if you find something better!

There are products designed to be hardwired and control a load. Of course they wouldn’t integrate with your home automation but if the only goal is to turn power on/off based on the door being open they would work.

My grandma’s house was built in the 50s and every closet has one. Best feature ever and they still work to this day.

Insteon switches, even 240V, will eventually melt with a pool pump. I've used your second method with total success for years.

A 120V-coil contactor and an Insteon micro module in a waterproof exterior junction box with flexible conduit to your pump and switch box. This will work reliably for years.
