BERRETT KOEHLER

Conversing with the locals is going to give you great practice, but I really recommend doing some kind of study to get some grammar and vocabulary down before you go. I know you were looking for free courses, but I personally would recommend this very inexpensive Oxford course. It's superior to Rosetta Stone not only in that it's a fraction of the cost, but in that it focuses on using words in meaningful contexts, and contexts related to travel at that, which makes things easier to remember. If you finish that course, you'll know enough Italian to get around easily (or at least, as easily as is possible with Italy's disastrous bus system), and the little phrase book that comes with it will supply random nouns you wouldn't learn from an intro course.
Lest I sound like an advertisement, I'll also note that you can check out your local library to see what resources are there. Again, speaking with the locals is a great way to practice and to develop fluency, but you'll learn much more quickly if you have a bit of a foundation. Buon viaggio!
I'm also learning Italian, and I'll back up what mancusod said about the Easy Reader. I'm just about done with the second section (history) and my reading comprehension has improved tremendously in the last two months. On top of that, I also downloaded every season of futurama in italian, and I usually cap the night off with an episode or two. I'd try to find some show that you've already seen a lot of in English and get the Italian version. On top of that, I'm playing Final Fantasy VIII in Italian, and downloading FFVII at the moment to play when I'm done. If you're into RPG's, I'd highly recommend getting a few in your target language. I also have Suikoden II that I'll be working through at some point later on.
Pimsleur is an awesome way to get started, and thats what I used to give myself a crash course in the language. Afterwards, I would work off of the list that you'll find here. Check out all the links that frenkeld posts and you'll find some of the amazon books that mancusod may have been referring to.
One last thing. If you do decide to play an RPG in Italian, I'd recommend going through this book beforehand. I started playing FF8 and doing the verb book at the same time, and now that I've finished the verb book I really wish I had done that first. If you do a chapter every day or two, you'll understand the verbs and their tenses really quickly. I went to college for Spanish, and it was a grueling experience trying to learn from the professors. I've only been studying Italian for about 3 months now, and I've progressed more in that time than in my first 2 and a half years in Spanish (granted, I was in high school, but still).
So I'd say just work off the list from the language site, and try to spend at least 1.5-2 hours a day in the language. For vocab, I buy packs of 1000 flash cards (you'll definitely need some kind of memorization system for the Easy Reader, don't let the name fool you) and that works pretty well for me.
Good luck, and don't give up. As long as you keep working on it, especially on the days that you don't really feel like it, you'll get there.
If you'd like to spend a few bucks on a used copy, there's a great cookbook on Sicilian cuisine Pomp And Sustenance: Twenty-five Centuries of Sicilian Food by Mary Taylor Simeti <http://www.amazon.com/Pomp-And-Sustenance-Twenty-five-Centuries/dp/0394568508/ref=tmm_hrd_title_0>.
The awesome thing about it is that not only it gives you some great historical facts about the dishes, but the recipes include what they do in Italy, and how you can around things you can't find in the US (for example, the flour). I've made a few of these dishes for Sicilian friends and they asked me for the recipes!!
If you do get yourself a copy, you must try the arancine and the Sicilian style pizza - most of the dishes are very cheap and easy to make, but delicious!

Hi xx
On the other hand I was thinking, maybe I could read a book about ElasticSearch, like https://www.amazon.it/Learning-Elastic-Stack-visualization-Elasticsearch/dp/1789954398/ref=sr_1_1?__mk_it_IT=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&keywords=elastic+search&qid=1571224122&sr=8-1
And see if there's any blocker afterwards? Like for the way I've used it in the past some in depth knowledge wasn't useful or required, if you require more then I can just read a full book about it and see if it fills the needs I have to have to do my job?

It's not on par on normal mokas but most of the time it's a better choice then the one in a cheap hotel.
On the plus side you can have hot coffe without having to get up from bed.
Attualmente su Amazon è poco sopra i 150€.

> Bialetti ELETTRIKA
This is sold & shipped by Amazon and, IIRC, Amazon always offers international shipping. Does it deliver to your country?
