It's very hard to find a good camera in that price range. If you have a phone that is less than a couple years old, you're probably better to go that route. That said, if you can afford a GoPro, the guys use a GoPro HERO4 BLACK as a backup camera that would be better than a smartphone in most applications. This model's built in mic is said to be much better than the new model that was just released. If you want to use an external mic, you'll need this adapter. You can also find all of their gear in a post I made here, if you're interested.
Edit: If you decide to use a smartphone, this is a pretty good mic that attaches directly to a phone.

If you want to go better than that, then it's got to be the LG OLED tv's (that tim is always raving about) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073K3LPGF?tag=rtings-tv-bs10b-20&ie=UTF8 but the cost is $1600. I don't really think it's worth it to buy tv's between the picture quality of the $600 TCL p607 and the LG OLED's because the TCL P607 is such a great deal, and that it isn't until you get to OLED that you can see a noticable "jump" in picture quality.

The only time you use soap on one is when your stripping the season off or restoring it. Give it a good steel wool scrub down to get all the flaky parts off re season and just throw it back in the oven. It doesn't have to be a self cleaning oven. I got my self a stiff brissle brush like this to clean it with after use. Wait for it to cool first a bit then you can run it under warm water and give it a scrub. apply a BIT of oil (veggie, canola, or olive will work) spread it around with a paper towel a bit, you can even throw it back on the stove top for a few minutes to let the oil really get in there.
