Quite honestly, I've had a few different headsets and stuff...
Hyper X Cloud II - They feel amazing. Let me effing tell you omg. They are the most comfortable headset I've ever had. I'd use them for 12 - 18 hours at a time (I don't really sleep :s) and they never make my ears hurt, I didn't get hot with them on, and they didn't press against my glasses on the side. They were perfect for not hearing external sounds. I loved this about them! Sadly, the mic on it is quiet but the sound on it was decent. I got them when they were first released and the quality was good. Mine finally died on me earlier this year and I bought another... I was disappointed. I think, despite ordering it new on Amazon, the seller sent me a refurbished set (the headband was not the same that comes on the HXC2) so I sent it back. It's priced at around $80 - $90 if I'm not mistaken. They are USB wired and come with it's own external sound card for 7.1 surround sound. Side note: I'm sad they don't sell the pink and white ones anymore :(
https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Cloud-Gaming-Headset-KHX-HSCP-RD/dp/B00SAYCXWG/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=hyperx+cloud+ii&qid=1568125693&s=gateway&sr=8-1
Hyper X Cloud Stinger (Wireless) - I'm still conflicted about this headset. The sound is decent, though I use the Razer Synapse software to boost it and it sounds a lot better. The mic is pretty good. They are extremely lightweight and just as comfy as the HXC2. The product CLAIMS to have a 17h battery for the headset. Pure lie. Mine stay charged MAYBE 5-7h if I'm lucky. It pisses me off. The wireless range is pretty good. I can walk downstairs and still hear / talk to people so I think it's probably around.. 20 - 30 feet or so? I hate that it's swivel to mute, I feel like this is just something that will eventually break. The mic is very flexible though. The volume control is on the right ear which isn't bad I suppose. If no sound has been played through them, they will automatically cut off to preserve battery after about 15-20 minutes which is a nice feature. The charging cord is an okay length, but if your tower / closest USB port isn't close to where you sit, don't expect it to reach. You can use them while charging though so that's nice. They do not muffle outside noise (for listening) except a tiny bit. I'm okay with this. I -hate- the dongle that comes with it. It's too big. It's the size of a regular 2GB usb thumb drive. Not a big deal but since I plug mine into my front ports and my tower is in front of me, I end up kicking it sometimes, lol... The ear cuffs swivel 90°, I find the feature stupid and useless but I'm sure someone out there loves it. However, they are cheap. I think $50 or so. I think one of the cheapest wireless headsets that's a brand, but I'm not sure.
The other headset I've tried is the Astro A40. It's about $130 dollars and... Well I thought I liked it at first, but when I went to write my Amazon review on it, I second guessed a lot of it's "features" that were actually just money gouges. I'll just link you to my review for it but in short, I like the sound quality, it's comfortable but I feel like the ear cushions make me a bit not, nothing too bad. The mic is good though! You can put the mic on either side of your head as there is a hole in each ear piece (covered by the tags) and the tags are interchangeable per side and easy to take off as they attach via magnets.

The mouse that I currently use for league is the Mad Catz M.M.O.T.E, why? Because I honestly though I needed a mouse with 15 buttons. I don't. I use maybe 3 other than the standard ones. I love how much I can adjust it's dpi but it seems to have issues that may or may not happen to you. After a year it started to double or triple click w/ left mouse button. I thought it was the mouse itself, turns out it was Windows, or possibly just Windows 7. The issue went away when I upgraded to Windows 10, proof it wasn't the mouse itself but possibly a driver. The company was bought out by Logitech and it's hard to find the software for it so... I don't really recommend this one at all, but it's comfy and adjustable, with lots of customization via the software. I'm not sure if you can find them anymore but the only one I see on Amazon is the tournament edition for $90. I wouldn't pay $90 for this considering there is no way to take advantage of the warranty on it. I only paid $40. I think the DPI ranges from 25 - 8.2k and you can adjust it individually for left to right and up to down. I've owned the Mad Catz 3 and played with a Mad Catz 7 or so. The 7 was nice, very simple though.
I've tried a Havit HV... something
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KKAQYXM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Very, very cheap gaming mouse but it's actually good. The DPI isn't as adjustable as the mouse above, There are 4 set DPI levels, but it lights up, so I got it. I don't have any complaints about it other than having set DPI levels, it's a pretty simple mouse.
I got to try out the Ajazz Wireless Gaming Mouse. I like it overall, it's probably not good for people with larger hands as it is a slimmer mouse. You can customize it in a lot of ways. You can play with it wired if you want as it has a very nice cord length, the dongle is short and discreet. I'm a sucker for lights so I loved being able to change the colors on it, though not all colors appear as vibrant as others. It's $28

My insanely long review on said product: https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1RCPKV0LDJ4J3/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B07PFHQYPR
I've had bad experiences with Logitech headsets and Turtle Beaches so I don't even bother trying their brands anymore. That was a few years back though. I've been told that Logitech has improved but I won't be trying it on my own dime >:[
I don't bother a special gaming monitor or keyboard because I'm a cheap ass bitch. So I can't help you there, lol...I currently have a dual monitor set up but the monitors are nothing special or gaming specific, mine are standard 60hz. Though, from the comments, it seems 144hz is the way to go.
> You're trying to say that having a good atmosphere is more important than playing to win
Where in the fuck are you getting this from?
> There is nothing more important in a competitive game than winning, nothing. Certainly not how cordial you are with your fucking team.
Actually that's a really myopic and simplistic approach to something that's a lot more complicated than you think. The most important thing in a competitive environment such as LoL, which is the subject of this thread, is that you enjoy it enough that you continue learning and improving. There is tons of research and literature that talks about this. I'd recommend starting with this one.
In a singular competitive setting like a tournament, then yes, you play to win. The tribunal and other community moderation initiatives however are not focused on tournaments or the LCS. The vast bulk of what they do is focused on moderating the overall community.
> If some one wants to communicate in a abrasive way i'll take that if their play is better than the nicest guy on the planet who is only ever so slightly the lesser player.
Again this is really short-sighted. You will enjoy playing more with the nicer person, and you yourself will find that you improve at a faster rate and you are less likely to go on tilt or get emotional, which is the #1 thing that interferes with the learning process.

Its this book, Weldon mentioned it directly on his YouTube channel. Essentially the science is at that people can only be GENETICALLY selected for running and everything else anyone can be good at if you practice enough. To put that in context tho "practice" is more then the effort you put into something directly but also how your raised. So what's percieved as "talent" is a predisposition to a certain task based on your upbringing. Your upbringing is part of your "training", which can amount to years and years of a year start. For someone like say faker, the idea is that the way he was raised since birth predisposed him to the skills he would need to be good at the game or good at training at the game. I'm not sure what the specifics would he but for the sake of argument let's say he like did activities as a child that improved his hand eye coordination or reaction time, or probably played alot of other games ect. His non-league "training" before he ever heard of the game could amount to 1-17 years of extra practice that other pros just cant overcome
There are a number of channels on YouTube I would recommend you watch for improvement.
And lastly, there is a book on Amazon by the name of "21 Days To Diamond And Beyond" by Stewart Petr.
https://www.amazon.com.br/21-Days-Diamond-Beyond-Ultimate-ebook/dp/B01MQRSQDQ/ref=sr_1_1?__mk_pt_BR=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&keywords=21+days+to+diamond+and+beyond&qid=1570045317&s=gateway&sr=8-1
I have this book, and although it was written with Season 7 in mind, most of the information is still relevant for Season 9. You can get the paperback version for $20 USD or get the audiobook for free with your Amazon Audible free trial.
Granted, most if not all of the information in that book can be found online, but it's laid out in a very easily understandable manner and it goes more in depth than most other guides.
Additionally, you can go here for coaching, the link expires in 24 hours so if you need another one just tell me,
Hope this helps!
(I highly recommend picking up other roles if you want to improve by the way)
Well taking into account your price range I would say this is probably your best bet; the logitech G402.
It's £40-45 but it is a really reliable accurate mouse. I used to use it myself before I got a razer deathadder (more expensive). The two buttons on the side are comfortable for your thumb, and there are also 2 more up on the clicker. They don't get in the way though and are actually pretty difficult to click, I never even used them, so don't worry about those ones.
The mouse is accurate, reliable, pretty light and free-flowing. Just get a good mouse mat (would recommend steelseries qck) and download the logitech gaming software to adjust your DPI to something you like.
I'm not sure if it's still up but I think you can get a free and legit LoL starter pack at Amazon. It gives you more champions to start with as well as some boosts help the starter's grind to 30
Edit: Here's the link. Only available for North America region though
I've been using this after my old one started to fall apart and works pretty well imo. It'll take some getting used to as it will force your wrist in a certain position. Note you have to be consistent and it'll take weeks for you feel a difference. You can wear it throughout the day if you can make it work. I also recommend doing some wrist strengthening exercises like wrist curls with light (2-5lb) dumbbells. You want to make sure your wrist maintains strength as using the brace means you will be using less strength in the general area
https://www.amazon.com/Mueller-Fitted-Wrist-Brace-Medium/dp/B002NLGNW8/ref=sr_1_11?keywords=wrist%2Bbrace%2Bmetal&qid=1564932882&s=gateway&sr=8-11&th=1
Sorry for the late response.

I got this monitor: https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-XB271HU-bmiprz-2560x1440/dp/B06ZXZ3QBD?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_1#

I would say that in terms of league-specific gameplay, I didn't feel too much of a change (slight upgrade, nothing much more), but the monitor has been an absolute wonder for use in pretty much everything else. A lot of other games like MMOs feel nice just to have more room on my screen for quest tracker/other widgets that don't clutter with my skill icons on the hud. I also didn't have 2 monitors before and I didn't think it'd make much of a difference compared to 1 but I really can't go back after having 2; the 1440p is also extremely nice for some movie or video watching too. If you're after the monitor for mostly a change in league, I would say it isn't worth the cost of a 1440p, but especially if you are upgrading from 1 monitor to 2, for use with pretty much anything else you might do on your computer, it's a humongous upgrade.
Buy a Corsair scimitar RGB PRO, they have black version as well (a little more expensive, same mouse)
__
You could also look into Roccat and logitech for their 12 button mice.
Just a tip I'd probably orientate yourself away from champs like lee sin because every time you use a ward on your mouse it will move your cursor causing you to miss your W or be slow to jump.
ADC's are great for one handed-ness. Mostly right clicking so ez-pz challenjour.
Best thing I can say is a good mouse. Hopefully its your off arm (non-dominant) and something like the Razer Naga (the mouse I use) can be programmed to use the number keys as qwer moves and have a lot more variety of inputs from just one hand.
Hopefully it's not broken and it's a quick recovery!
Edit:link
https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Gaming-SCIMITAR-Mechanical-Buttons/dp/B013KK9JOO
same exact thing as naga, but its made by corsair, 10x better than the naga imo, a lot more comfortable. good luck
You might want to look into look into this new laptop made by dell that was aimed for gaming for the price at $800. Dell may not be the first thing that comes to mind for laptops when it comes to gaming but this laptop looks fairly solid. Performance wise this should run league and other games easily, has decent battery life. Also i would recommend making your decision on what you desire as there are pros and cons to every laptop you look at.
Link to laptop with a $50 off promo code
Link to an amazon offer if you want to pay a bit for an SSD for a hard drive
link to a review of the laptop
Outcome-independence is an extremely valuable concept to understand if you seek to improve your situation in any area of life. The goal should be to perform an action with optimal technique, success will be a long-term bi-product of that approach.
There's a good, and very short, book on this topic called "The Inner Game of Tennis", by Timothy Gallwey. You don't need any interest in tennis, it's more about the mental aspect of improving and competing.
SmashBros is not only great, it's also still super grassroots, not run by a company, and completely free besides the initial cost. This documentary is a great intro to the scene.
How to get started
Melee - big combo style, very advanced metagame, total start cost $40
Install Dolphin
Install the 20XX Melee ISO
Buy a Gamecube Controller and a Gamecube/USB Adapter
Start practicing
---
Smash 4 - small combo style, infant metagame, total start cost $450
Buy Wii U, Smash 4, and a Controller + Adapter
Start Practicing (wii u has online play built in)
And don't forget to hit up /r/smashbros
I'd personally recommend getting a Razer Naga Hex mouse or a Razer Naga MMO Gaming mouse. They have a lot of buttons on the side, and you could easily map one of them to attack move, along with many other things.
I linked you the direct products on Razer, but if you're interested in buying one I'd definitely recommend buying them on Amazon, linked here and here as you can get them at a lower price than what Razer typically offers, along with much better shipping offers if you have Amazon Prime.

It is generally accepted (maybe even obvious) that it's more important to be effective, rather than put in more hours. You will still put in a lot of hours, because you need repeated practice, but it's about effective hours.
If someone is interested in this topic, a decent book that is written by a researcher who has dedicated his life to this topic is: https://www.amazon.com/Peak-Secrets-New-Science-Expertise/dp/0544947223/

Keyboard: CM Storm Quckfire Rapid (if you like tkl and want a NA brand) or Duckyshine 3 or Filco Majestouch
Headset: SteelSeries Siberia V2
Ah ok, where are you looking to buy? Newegg, Amazon, Microcenter?
Edit: I added some to the first comment btw.
Here's one on Amazon that fits what you're looking for, $800. i5 (idk why the title says i7), 8GB RAM, 15.6", 1920x1080, 256GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX960M dedicated graphics card. Seems pretty nice for the price actually.
http://www.amazon.com/Dell-Inspiron-i7559-763BLK-Full-HD-GeForce/dp/B015PYYDMQ/
I used to have a Razer DeathAdder but I switched to a Logitech G502 and I like it a lot better. Lots of easy-access side buttons, but I mostly use those for games like CSGO/PoE/Overwatch.
I know you already expressed your opinion about mouses with a lot of "weird" side buttons but I'll leave this here: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Lag-Free-Wireless-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00E4MQODC
Basically the buttons are shaped "this weird way" so that you can press them rather sideways without hitting the wrong one. So for example if you are going to use G4 followed by G7 (see pics) you would stroke the mouse sideways with your thumb first in an upward movement and then in a downward one.
Maybe this won't make you more inclined to the idea of playing with mouse only but I think it could help. I would set it up so QWE are the most accessible buttons (the bottom ones) so that you can just move your thumb up, and R, D and F which are more situational on the more difficult buttons. Then rest my middle finger on MB2 (right click) and index on MB1 (which I would set to ping wheel).
If you get comfortable you can even set MB3 (middle click/wheel press) to cam reset and start playing with detached camera which is the only thing I would miss in that setup.
Edit: Forgot to mention; for this to work you will need to set skill casting to quick cast in settings. Quick casting means you don't see aim indicators on the ground when you press a skill, it fires in the direction of your cursor. That's how most people play anyways, it takes about 10 games to get used to quick casting skill shots and then it becomes second nature.
Logitech always make the best mice imo.
G402 or G502 are amazing.
You can get mice which are just fine for less money though.
There used to be a free champ bundle. This might still work, idk though.

edit: Looks like its unavailable. They might do something like it again at the start of next split? Idk though

You have Razer Naga on amazon

Search mmorpg mouses. There is a lot of them. You can reprogram them and switch it to left hand. Not sure about the hand design tho.
Honestly, if you had a Razor Naga or similar type mouse, you could probably play just about any champion with relatively little trouble (with some practice).
Great answer! You have to remember that although you may have the a higher level of knowledge than everyone else, this video is made for a large audience and needs to explain to everyone.
I am a detail guy as well, but I don't think any of our viewers would have stuck around for the video. If you want more details here are a few books I recommend with links to sources: Peak, The Sports Gene.
I have a G502
I love it
Edit: Theres a Newer Model which is cheaper.
Hello!
Just had it work, here's how I did it:
(Thankyou, /u/Qurid)
Honestly this isn't really an issue with league of legends itself- its more an issue with apple not updating their hardware on a timely basis and overcharging for what you are buying. Also they do not design their computers with gamers in mind- apple's focus is more on aesthetic and portability than it is on designing a product that doesn't overheat easily -my macbook pro from 2014 would get sizzling hot after even 20-30 minutes of league play, and this is when I would start to have significant and noticeable framerate drops.
I will admit I was an apple fanboy back in the day,but got really upset with the company after learning that their pricing schemes are truly highway robbery. You will pay $2500 for this brand new macbook pro:
http://www.apple.com/shop/buy-mac/macbook-pro?product=MJLT2LL/A&step=config#
but can buy a dell with essentially the same hardware for 1/3 of the price:

In a game go to settings -> controls -> movement -> click "Attack Move -> click the mouse button you want it bound to.
Make sure you keep right click as movement and left click as target. This means you'll need to bind it to a third button. In general, gaming mice do have these and are pretty affordable. I prefer having Attack Move on a pointer finger click like this mouse offers, but hardcore MMO addicts have an easy enough time with on a thumb button like one of these disgusting things.
Here is why you should do it
