This feature enables to adjust the suitable angle and height of the boom arm to show your perfect voice. Before adjusting the angle of the microphone arm stand make sure to loosen the knob first. Avoid rotating it by force as it can damage the screw threads.
  • Upgraded Desk Mount: In comparison to the old versions, this zinc alloy desk mount is built with anti-scratch pad and wider mouth up to 2" to fit most desktop.
  • The 5/8"-27 male to 3/8"-16 female screw adapter which included in the package fits for blue snowball and HyperX QuadCast. The Diameter of Microphone Clip is 1.10". Suitable for any stores, families, stage, studios, broadcasting and TV stations, etc.

Both the 2012 Minis and the 2010 Mini are completely headless. Unfortunately, this means that accessing them via remote desktop gives you a measly 800x600 resolution. I use this handy little gadget on both of them to replicate a 1920x1080 display being connected. So, when I connect via Screen Sharing I get a nice big display.

Extras:

  • Laptop stand and monitor stand (x2) from 12South.

  • Hard drives below laptop stand are Glyph. I highly recommend.

  • Lamp, cord caddy (barely visible at back right of desk), and desk surface is Ikea.

  • Adjustable standing desk legs (manual crank) are from Titan via Amazon. I added the casters after.

  • Stool is via Amazon.

Still using a hardwired keyboard, as I like the full format better, and the last time I tried bluetooth for keyboard it was squirrelly, but that was years ago. This keyboard still works flawlessly, so no need to change yet.

Any questions feel free to ask!

If you're set on Bluetooth and want a simple all-in-one setup get these.

However, I have to recommend the Chromecast Audio - so much more reliable than Bluetooth, better sound quality, and easier to connect to. I'd pair it with this amp and these speakers. If you're feeling adventurous go this route but you'll be happy with either coming from Bose.

You can sell the unused monitor on /r/hardwareswap to recuperate some cash. Even if you don't want to get rid of it, I'd still move it so there's space for the speakers and they aren't being blocked.

Looks good!

Try these ties. They should help:
VELCRO Brand One Wrap Thin Ties, Black, 8 x 1/2-Inch, 100 Count (91140) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001E1Y5O6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_NqZ2AbET1MZRN

Sleeves like this as well:

PC Setup (Generated from my old spreadsheet)

I agree on getting a plant to replace the lamp (if the lamp is not used much) and an extended wide mouse pad like this one. - https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0199GE7RC/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?qid=1465782602&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=large+mouse+mat&dpPl=1&dpID=41yzOjBDI-L&ref=plSrch

However if you want to spend all $100 on one item (this is definitely my recommendation), I would get a mechanical keyboard. There are plenty of options for $100 or less.

Cheers!

Good question, this took me some time and money to figure out, but it was important to me to be able to run this whole setup through 1 port.

My setup is that I have two ASUS PB258Q 25" monitors. I run those through Elgato Thunderbolt 3 Dock, one is connected via display port and the other is connected to a usb-c port using a displayport -> usb-c adapter.

Then I just connect the macbook to the USB-c dock and the dock supplies power + display connection to the monitors.

The ThunderBolt 3 dock is highway robbery but all of the docks that supply 85W of power are expensive, and it does work perfectly for my setup.

These are the 23' AOC monitors that I picked up from Amazon. Great screens for the price, and they go wonderfully with the aluminium of the mac, and also matches the finish of the Porsche Design HD.

u/kake14 · 1 pointr/macsetups

I wouldn't buy the Apple adapter. Too expensive with added bulk and complexity to be worth it imo. I bought this instead. It's just a straight trough cable thunderbolt to hdmi without the adapter. It matches apples style too which is a bonus. There are others as well if you search "thunder to hdmi" on Amazon.

It looks very similar to the one I have! Here's the link to mine. It works perfectly as described. Theres a compact version and a premium version (I went with the compact version since its symmetrical in design while the premium version has a dedicated mouse area on the side. It's also cheaper :P).

I got the same thing as OP: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078RD7R26

Word of advice, esp to OP, if it is the same dock as I have, aside for the photo, I wouldn’t keep the Apple logo faced up like it is, this stand blocks the rear vent enough that’s it’s not allowing the computer to properly cool. Unfortunately Apple logo has to be upside down.

Nice setup OP!

I use a 27' model of [THIS] (http://www.amazon.com/AOC-i2367Fh-23-Inch-Screen-Monitor/dp/B009V8F700/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398566771&sr=8-1&keywords=aoc+monitor) type. You might have seen it in some set ups even here on MacSetups. IPS panel with a 1080 display. Thin bezel but don't be mistaken as it does has bezels. This is a 23' and its worth every penny!
