Hey, I got this from amazon bunny mirror

Looks like the seller I got it from is not selling it anymore. It worked fine for a bit but my room is too dark so the light wasn’t bright enough. It’ll work well in a bright room, where the LEDs don’t have to work as hard. I primarily use it as a night light since it has that feature. I got it cause it’s super cute and works amazing as a mirror ,but the LEDs are meh. It was around ~$10USD so I should’ve known better, haha.

What I would recommend are the bulbs . They’re super bright, they have three brightness settings and three modes: LED,daylight and what looks like a low light/night time mode. They’re pretty good for ~$20USD.

Edit: I did find another seller selling it for $20USD if you really like it.

Edit: u/bananabread8 shared the same listing below

Oh boy, I hear you on the partner not putting stuff away LOL Everyday I am cleaning and tidying up. And I think this sub is a great place to ask these kinda questions, though I'm pretty new to it myself :)

- If you haven't already, I would recommend first donating or getting rid of things you don't need, use, want, or have an attachment to. That will make things much easier to work with before the next suggestions.

- Above the dresser (if you're not going to move it) is a good opportunity to install some wall shelves to put books and/or other knick knacks. Or books on top of the dresser and a more "narrow" shelving unit for knick knacks.

- If you're going to move the dresser and clothes rack, I would recommend this or the above linked shelf unit or a combination of it all to hold your skincare and makeup. This lady from Etsy makes some pretty cool wall mounted makeup holders.

If glare won't be an issue for the computer, maybe some wall mirrors, too, to brighten the area. The most common complaint I see about these kind of mirrors is that they don't stick, so you may need to buy some glue. (I've bought gold hexagonal ones to place on the table itself and going to buy larger ones for the wall possibly.)

- Replace the wicker chair with a stool / small ottoman with storage. Might help with the contents of the tub.

- A rotating makeup organizerto hold the things you use quite often. I have a "gold" / glass one myself.

- Maybe a mounted hair dryer holder, shelf, and/or bin to install on the side of the table to hold brushes, hair dryer, etc. I plan on doing this for my vanity table.

- If you are not attached to it to the standing swivel mirror on the table, I would get a wall mount version that you can attach to the other side of the table to free up some desk space... and it'll also help balance if you're installing the shelf / tote on the other side.

I don't know the dimensions of your table, so I'm guestimating whether or not the mounting area of these products are small enough for the edges of your vanity table.

- Corner shelf for behind / above the computer workstation. White to blend in with the wall, so it feels more spacious. I would paint the computer desk white or get a white one to aid in that effect.

- On the above note, I wouldn't paint the small table in the middle of the room, it blends in with the floor nicely. I like the stain / finish on the dresser and am afraid painting it white, while helping with the spacious effect, might cheapen its look in this particular case.

Those are all the suggestions I can think of, hopefully they weren't all fluff, but they're things I'd do or am doing. Best of luck, looking forward to an update whether or not I see the suggestions into play, I love remodels / reorganizing.

I thought this might be helpful for others who are tight on space. Welcome to my 46 squarefoot closet.
This is everything I used for the vanity, but feel free to ask about other stuff in the pictures.

  • IKEA Storjorm Mirror with built-in light- This mirror has been great. It does need to wired directly into an electrical box; I think there's a workaround for that but I'm not sure.

  • BESTÅ Shelf unit with glass door - two of these bolted to the wall. Super easy to put together and put on the wall. They've been sturdy even when I forget to not lean on it. I do wish I had a glass topper to protect the top shelf from spills. These work particularly well because of their 7 7/8" depth. The unit only sticks out maybe an inch from the door jamb and was the shallowest thing I could find.

  • Acrylic Organizers from Amazon:
    Lipstick,
    Tri cup organizer,
    3 Drawers,
    Multi level palette,
    Nail polish

I find the lipstick organizer to be kind of narrow. KVD bullets don't fit in it, bummer.

The acrylic organizers I found on amazon are here and here.

I detail where I found other organizational items in the captions but most of my storage came from Wal-Mart, Dollar General, At Home, or Amazon. I don't think any organizer I have was over $22. In case you can't see the captions I'll list my descriptions.

(1)Is just an overview of my collection, my desk is pretty old and heavy but I want to make it look less ugly.

(2)This container Is from Wal-Mart. I found a similar on on their website but I only paid $10 for this one.

(3)With a pack of organizers I found at Dollar General I separated some lip products by miscellaneous sizes and brands, lip liners and other tall lip products, and then one section that's all WNW Catsuits and bullet lipsticks.

(4)This one has been decluttered recently, I got rid of my WNW shadows since I don't use them so this one looks more bare than others. I keep my Colourpop SS shadows in the smaller containers as well as my ABH Dipbrow Pomade and MAC's Painterly Paint pot. The rest is random mini mascaras, single shadows, a Colorpop SS that's drying out, and a super old Avon quad from 2007 and single shadow of my moms from the early 2000's or late 90s.

(5)Here I separated blushes with the square organizer the set came with becasue I have more blushes than anything and there was a perfect amount of space to store my highlighters in the front, and then my pressed powders and bronzers to the side.

(6)I couldn't find this exact organizer but I got it from At Home. It just perfectly fits some everyday products and lipsticks.

(7) I've been looking for something like this for YEARS. I found this on Amazon and I'll link it in the comment section. Previously I had stored all my palettes in the top drawer of the drawers and had lip products all over my desk. It holds all my palettes, eye brushes, and then a smaller spot for sponges and my eyelash curler. I keep my sponge in this lil jack-o-lantern I got as a gift.

(8)Lastly I have this organizer I also found on Amazon. It's just a five compartment acrylic thing that holds face products, liquid lipsticks, and brushes. I keep my dirty brushes in a Kentucky Derby cup form my birth year.

Couple things ...

  1. Sorry about the lighting in some of the images (my editing skills would have made it even worse. trust me.

  2. I haven't decided on a mirror. Do they make table top ones with natural light light bulbs, is that a thing?

  3. I got the 2nd and 3rd acrylic organizers here. $33.00 each.

  4. The first tower of acrylic organizers I actually purchased here. $42.00 If you think the pictures look exactly the same and went with another brand for $5 cheaper thinking the drawers would be the same size, you'd be wrong lol. They stack together perfectly (all I really cared about). The only difference is one single drawer in the 1st tower happens to be slightly taller, maybe a half inch, compared to the rest (the one with my Milani foundations in it). I think the 5th or 6th photo in shows a pic of it.

  5. Sitting on top of the towers are individual lipstick/lipgloss oganizers, the first and third of which I got [here] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E00X3VO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) (lipstick organizers). It was $13 for two :) The second/middle one I got here (lipgloss organizers). $25.00 for two (one not shown).

... BUT if I had to do it over again, I'd go to the container store. They have the cheapest I could find anywhere (Target, Walmart, Bed Bath and Beyond, eBay, etc.) at 48 slots for 12 bucks (at 12", they'll fit perfectly on top the drawers as well).

The pallette organizer I got here. The three larger slots are all different sizes, the biggest one hold three Morphe pallettes if that helps anyone!

All in all,the acryclic drawers are holding:

    -3 face primers

    -15 foundations

    -3 setting powders

    -2 settings sprays

    -3 concealers

-2 eyeliners (I need recommendations! Status: URGENT)

-2 mascaras (I wear eyelash extensions, so mascara isn't really on my list :))

    -4 brow products

    -27 compacts

-254 lip products (72 in the holders on top)

    To complete the collections:

-16 palettes -cheek and eyes (pallette organizer)

    -36 lip liners (glass jar)

Thank you all so much for the well wishes and happy birthdays. I really appreciate it. I was in the hospital because of complications from my chronic illness, but I’m already almost back to my base line.

I’m incredibly to have my husband and daughter. I was so surprised by this that I cried.

For everyone that’s wondering -

This is the vanity and stool. I really like them both. The vanity is a nice size and it has two drawers with removable dividers and the middle part comes up and has a mirror and more removable dividers. My only complaint is that the draws come out too easily. There’s nothing to catch them. It’s a perfect set for the price. It comes in black, too.

This the mirror. I’ve had a few light up mirrors, and this one is by far my favorite. You can change the intensity of the lights. The mirror shows every little skin imperfection, which is both wonderful and the stuff of nightmares. I think it comes in black and white also, but the other colors are under separate listings.

u/SkyeBlueBandit · 5 pointsr/makeuporganization

This is a really awesome travel case, takes up almost no space, but as you can see, can hold a lot of junk.:'D Being able to rearrange the dividers is great, though there are less options than you'd think because the long horizontal one is the only one of that size, but it's great to work with.

There might be cheaper options, but here is the link for the exact one I ordered.(I'm pretty sure, anyway.)

So someone on my original post in r/makeupaddiction thought that I should make the same post here, so I've pasted it below!

Since these things are all over Amazon, I figured I'd review the one I got.

It was packaged really well; in sealed shrinkwrap, baby bubble wrap, big bubble wrap, and then in a nice form-fitting box. So even though the dimensions are listed, and I have a tape measure, I have to say it seems so small in person! But my entire makeup collection fit (except for some of the palettes that were too tall to fit in the palette holder, which is fine since I ran out of slots anyway).

The boxes are not connected, so you can organize them however you want, including the top part (with the foundations in it). Also, each cubby can accommodate either one big drawer or three small drawers, so you can mix and match those too. Each box has two cubbies, for either two large drawer, six small drawers, or half and half, and the boxes have little rubber feeties on the bottom so that they don't scuff each other, or the shelf you store them on. They also came with pre-cut black mesh liners, which I thought was nice (I can take a picture of one if you'd like to see).

If anyone is thinking about buying one of these and would like to see specific pictures of any part, let me know! There are a ton of sellers, but I tried to pick one with a bunch of reviews (that fakespot didn't flag as suspicious). Overall I'm really pleased with it! I was concerned with the size at first, but it's compact and efficient; I actually didn't end up using one of the small drawers, and several of them are sparsely packed.

u/havenflavem · 3 pointsr/makeuporganization

Lol I have the exact same one! For those asking, I got mine here. The price must fluctuate, when I got mine a couple months ago it was right at $40. It's HUGE but you can see some good user pics in the reviews section. Protip: unless you only have like three eyeshadow palettes it probably won't hold all of them. But for me it holds everything that isn't a shadow palette, and you can change the configuration a little to better suit your needs :)

u/thecatladykatie · 4 pointsr/makeuporganization

Sorry to interject but I have the same exact set up you do and bought some lights on Amazon that stick to the mirror that I absolutely love. They help with my crappy guest room lighting quite a bit!

This is my vanity immediately after setting up the lights (turned on): https://i.imgur.com/UpWhiw3.jpg

This is a better picture of the mirror (daylight, lights off): https://i.imgur.com/0MoqgKE.jpg

The lights have a touch-dimmer that I used a 3M strip to attach to the side of my mirror and I love it!!

You might remember me from THIS POST a few days ago!

After months of stressing about the clutter in this room, I finally moved the large plastic tubs into storage, unpacked that huge brown box, and also emptied all my trash bags full of shoes and organized them into the closet.

What’s left to do:

  • Mount the round mirror on my wall above the vanity desk

  • Purchase THESE LIGHTS from Amazon to mount onto the mirror (if you have a better suggestion, I’m all ears!)

  • Either purchase a FLOATING SHELF to hang to the right of the vanity or a SMALL STANDING DRAWER UNIT to store my lesser-used items so I can get rid of the extra large acrylic organizer that is taking up a LOT of space on the desk

  • Hang sheer curtains

The brown rattan chair and side table will also be moving out of this room once we get rid of some other furniture that a family member is going to take off our hands!

All-in-all, this was a one-day project that makes me feel soooo much better. I can’t tell you why I put it off for so long - but I’m glad I finally got around to at least doing the bare minimum to make this space more zen for me!

Let me know what you think and if you have any other suggestions! This has been a fun experience :)

Had the common problem of large palette quantity not fitting in standard 6-10 palette storage options. Found some pot/pan lid organizers from TJ Maxx and got 2 at $6.99 a piece and placed them upright. For reference, there's 34 palettes in my inventory, and with both racks they are at full capacity, so each would comfortably fit 15-17 palettes. Unable to find a link to the exact one, so here's a close alternative from Miss Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/Honey-Can-Do-KCH-02164-Cushion-Coated-Organizer/dp/B0085T88NE/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=honeycando+lid+organizer&qid=1562700182&s=gateway&sr=8-7

The chest is thrifted - sorry. I do find that a domed storage container such as this is best for this as it has plenty of vertical room for the taller brushes and products you want to keep contained. The acrylic cotton organizers are also amazon, the two smaller ones are connected while the cotton round dispenser is stand-alone. Again, I love these cute little organizers that help keep everything dust free.

Just a small corner of my dingy old vanity, but was really stoked about my new palette organization find and wanted to share since I know other collectors have way more than I do who might struggle with a feasible organizational technique. It's probably pretty underwhelming, but stay tuned, as there's a big upgrade underway lol.

u/thosemoonsongs · 2 pointsr/makeuporganization

This desk from Wayfair is actually the one I purchased, however in espresso. I'm pretty pleased with it. I have everything in easy reach and still have a ton of "work space" to get ready.

I also have these for my nail polishes. Be aware that the sides are open though, so if you have cats you probably want it out of their reach. I learned that lesson the hard way. 🙄 It is really hard to see what color polishes you have when you have them stored away, so if you have space for something like this I highly recommend it if she's into nail polish. It is so satisfying to be able to view all of your collection at once. :)

u/lanmel · 1 pointr/makeuporganization

I love love love this acrylic palette organizer from Amazon. I have a bit of an addiction and this holds so many palettes. Check out the reviews to see what I mean. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01BNTP2BS/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

u/sandwich_creator · 4 pointsr/makeuporganization

Standing them up like they are files is ideal if you have the room in your drawers. You could just stand then next to each other, or get a file folder system going. You could even slap labels on the spices in case you don't know them by sight.

If you don't, say for the Juvia's or larger palettes, file the ones you can and then stack the others with the biggest on the bottom, so you can see what it is, even with something on top.

And just to add a little extra something, you could do a featured palette of the week on a little stand on your vanity.

This is all assuming you want them in drawers. If you want them out and displayed, floating shelves on your wall are probably the best bet. If you have the desk space, this is the organizer I got in Amazon for mine, and it holds close to 30 palettes in it I think. Here's mine (though I have changed my collection a bit since then with additions and subtractions).

u/sparkleinthesky · 3 pointsr/makeuporganization

I just got that large one in your last picture from Amazon!. I love it so far, I used to have this one before. I hold most of my makeup in the large one (I also use a desk organizer, a brush/palette holder, lipstick holder) but I LOVE the large organizer the most!!

I'll upload my collection next week, I wanted to wait to get everything in and organized first:)

u/H00tyMcB00b · 2 pointsr/makeuporganization

I purchased some from Amazon a year ago and they're still working great! No issues at all and super simple to apply. They have peel and stick adhesive on the back of each one and a dimmer switch as well. Here's a link for them as well as a pic of my daughter's finished vanity. HTH!

I bought these off Amazon and they're great, but they're pricey and take up a lot of space.

I love your chair! Where did you get it??

Oh man! Nope, it’s super easy installation, on any mirror you’d like 😊 LED Vanity Mirror Lights Kit –... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DKWPXMD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share .... here you go! I got them on Amazon, enjoy❤️

This one from Amazon is pretty similar- not sure about the tray at the bottom! This one is on my wish list :)

I used some acrylic shelves at my old apartment to store my palettes because I had wall space, but was limited on desk space. These are the ones I had: https://www.amazon.com/MAKARTT-Acrylic-Bottles-Essential-Organizer/dp/B0150XH67G/ref=asc_df_B0150XH67G/

There are pictures in the review section where you can see some people using it for palette storage. I really liked it because it kind of looked like art. :)

u/Passionix · 14 pointsr/makeuporganization

I use this one! I don't have it standing like this, I have it laying down flat and my palettes stand up in it so that I could fit more inside of it. Forgive me for not hyperlinking, I'm on mobile:

Not OP but googling around (because I also need this, I'm literally using a spice rack - which is great - but not quite big enough). This looks similar? https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0783QJST4/

u/aelin_galathynius_ · 5 pointsr/makeuporganization

This is the palette divider

This is the one I use to separate brushes!

Both on amazon. The brush one has a back storage area where I put like blush palettes or whatever doesn’t fit in the other organizers.

The palette one is adjustable, so you can remove dividers to put more in one area.

Here are the ones I found on Amazon from a previous poster, can't seem to find the previous post now that I am looking for it (of course). The hacks I have seen are to use really strong mounting tape if you can't or don't want to drill into your walls.
