Sounds like you live a decently active lifestyle. I highly recommend getting a rumble roller. Great for relieving sore muscles and keeps the body loose and feeling great. Well worth the money.

If anyone is interested I’d try pigs and sheep first. It’s an interesting hobby. A whole pig in the 100 pound range should run you about $250-$300 and is a lot of meat once you break it down. Lambs are much more expensive but are fun to break down too. This is a excellent book and there is a companion just on beef. I got my copy used in hard cover.

Also there are other videos in this series by BA including tuna processing for restaurant use. Good videos.

A friend of mine got one off of Etsy - he liked it. Amazon has some that look pretty neat too. This one might be what you mean?

Not that I'm directly answering your question, but personally I did the laser hair removal about 5 years ago. I did my whole back, neck, and shoulders. I went for 4 sessions.

I suppose it's debatable that if I hadn't had the treatment I'd be even harrier, but I REALLY doubt it.

It's simply because of the nature of hair follicle growth. While the lasers may destroy SOME of them, our hormones trigger the creation of new ones. Hence the reason the treatments are (should) be referred to as hair 'reduction' therapies.

Now that I realized this, I wish I had my 3 grand back.

I'm happy using a razorba from amazon for most of the back hair. In the other areas that I can reach, I'll wax or tweeze.

But I honestly didn't know Epilators existed, so I figured I'd ask. I imagine it'll be more efficient and simpler than the hassle of waxing. I guess I'll try it out and see.

For those interested in the questions Alexie raises in this article, there's a great book by David Shields called Black Planet, about the season the author spent traveling with the Seattle Supersonics. It's a great examination of the male body, how fans sublimate their desires for physical perfection through black athletes, and the male bonding between teammates and fans.

Everki Studio Slim Laptop Backpack for upto 14.1-Inch Laptops/15-Inch MacBook Pro (EKP118) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LGN7Y3G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_RwXCyb3E7SZR0

This one is a little more than you wanted to spend ($118 on Amazon) but I've had it for a year now and the quality is excellent, still looks brand new. Holds up to a MacBook Pro & iPad Pro. Slim and classy design. WAY better than my last backpack which was The North Face.
Should fit all 15inch laptops no problem, with nice organizational layout.

Not exactly "how to be a man", but general non-fiction I've really enjoyed:

Benjamin Hoff - The Tao of Pooh -- Sounds childish perhaps, but its a fantastic read. Worth the time.

http://www.amazon.com/Tao-Pooh-Benjamin-Hoff/dp/0140067477

Biography of E=MC2 -- Einstein's famous equasion, told biography style. Great read, not too "sciency".

Tim O'Brian - If I Die in a combat zone -- http://www.amazon.com/If-Die-Combat-Zone-Ship/dp/0767904435

Also, military field guides / training manuals are non classified and excellent resources for any sort of camping / survival you may do. Most surplus type stores carry them, or you can download and print your own!

If you're going to be spending a significant portion of your work day at your desk, you gotta make that thing functional, not just aesthetically pleasing.

Like /u/DeBuurman said, dual monitors are great. But don't stop there, have them placed at the right height so you don't get neck strain. Get an ergonomic keyboard, your wrists will thank you, also a wrist pad if needed. I use this one. Backup hard drive so you can backup your computer every single day. And of course a good chair. Don't make your future you hate present you for giving him a back ache. Also, have all your electronics run off a single usb hub hidden under the desk so that your laptop only has two cords running from it (power and usb).

Other than that, I like to bring out as much of myself into my office as the standards of decorum will allow. I have some artwork made by friends, presents given to me by clients (especially my big ass abalone shell!), some boat parts from the sailboat I used to live on, and a bunch of other stuff which I think is fun to have around (like my 4' tall elephant head wood carving).

Adidas climalite boxer briefs. I own like 20 pairs, expensive but worth it. I walk like 2-3 miles a day and run but have never had a problem with chafing and they keep you dry and cool too. Highly recommend.

A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius is really great, but be warned that the book lives up to its title.

Also, I love reading about Robert Kennedy (one of the last true American politicians IMO). I suggest reading The Last Campaign. Pay attention and learn from Bobby, and you'll live a good life.

I used to carry the Ken Onion by Kershaw, but I think I'm going to get one of these as a Christmas present to myself, because that looks awesome. A little too thick but ultimately incredibly useful.

For me, I condition every 3 days or whenever I feel like it. No itch.

Try different conditioners. I started with Bluebeards and it was okay. Now I use Paul Mitchell's tea tree conditioner and it works like a charm and the smell is great. Everyone has different needs for face hair. So keep trying conditioners and oils.

Specifically for my truck I have:

a flexing spark plug socket like this one and spark plug pullers

    An OBD II Scanner

    Auto jack(s)

An oil pan and an oil filter wrench or other tool that makes the filter easier to remove

And, of course, jumper cables, a poncho or two, some spare water bottles and all that good stuff that stays in the truck too.
