Essential in what sense? Are you looking for a more scientific book or just a good fun read? if you are looking for the latter "A forest of Kings" is pretty good.

estoy leyendo el libro "The art of choosing" de Sheena Iyengar, que menciona: "Recent studies have even found a stronger correlation between parents’ income and their children’s income in the United States than in Western European countries such as Sweden and Germany, showing that success in the United States is based slightly less on effort and more on the circumstances of one’s birth."

I have been using this book with a friend and it's really good, kind of pricey but it has great examples and exercises.

My grandmother (may God have her in his glory(she always used to say that about deceased persons)) use to prepare the tortilla dough grounding the nixtamal by hand with a Metate like this one:

https://www.amazon.com/Metate-Mano-Mortar-Ground-Stone/dp/B00AFYPMH2

Although I find it a bit small to perform an efficient grounding, little by little enough tortilla dough can be.

Catholics are all Christians, but not all Catholics are Romans "obedient to the Bishop of Rome", the difference is sometimes minimal, but sometimes there are significant variations in words and even in the list of books that form it.

You can buy it online, but I would recommend you go to the nearest Catholic temple, where you will be sold and at the same time you will make a purchase to support, you can take your grandmother to receive it from the priest, and so you do not explain anything .

The Biblia Latinoamericana is sold separately, in new and old testament, so check if your grandmother wants the full version or the one that comes separated in two books.

Are you part of the death positive movement? If you are, or interested on it, check this book on the subject...

Will My Cat Eat My Eyeballs?: Big Questions from Tiny Mortals About Death

it's currently among the top 10 best sellers of the new york times and it's illustrated by an amazing Mexican artist.

Hey Man, glad you liked and actually went ahead and bought it.

It is one of the few books written by pre-colonial peoples, but in a modern language. If you want to know more perhaps I could recomend this book:

The True History of The Conquest of New Spain

And also full of gringos. I'd recommend to travel to little towns in Jalisco. They have that classic mexican style and traditions that most of Mexico doesn't have anymore. You should read The Burning Plain from Juan Rulfo, one of the best writers that Mexico have had to understand what I'm talking about. And there you may want to visit some Tequila factories.

From quora...

> I have helped a lot of people with trouble in math in the past years and I have one conclusion. What makes Math hard is that you need a really solid basis from the past subject in order to understand the next one. That means if you can’t sum well, you are not going to be able to learn how to multiple, if you can’t derive, you won’t be cable to do an integral. That is the nature of Math and people don’t realize this: many times my students ask my to teach them how to derive, then I notice that they don’t know transcendental functions, when I tried to explain them transcendental functions, then I notice they don’t know algebra, and so on, so many times I feel like Hall(the man in the video) trying to fix the light bulb.

> Math is not really hard, but it is accumulative, so if you didn’t get a concept in the past is going to be hard or even imposible to you to get a future concept which depends of it. So lets say that you find difficult a subject and you get 75% of the exam correct. Well before starting to study for the next exam you should study the 25% you didn’t get, EVERY TIME. In many other subjects the content of the next exam is independent from the last one, but not in math. Literally in calculus you need a wide variety of subjects: algebra, trigonometry, transcendent functions, limits. If one this is week you will never get the idea and truly understand it. If you have problems with math, I recommend you to learn with Khan academy because it is designed to teach in an accumulative way as it should be.
