Very sorry for your suffering. As a fellow singer, I have empathy and sympathy. Let's get you over this, shall we?
The problem you're describing is caused by inflammation of your vocal anatomy. How to reduce that inflammation? --We focus on what we're doing here and this will encourage the body to heal, so your voice will be fine again.
Number One: You must calm your nerves. How? -- With this:
https://www.vocalmentor.com/your-secret-weapon-against-nervousness-the-4-7-8-breath-exercise/
2. You must drink at least 100 ounces per day of clean, unflavored WATER. You must get at least 7-8 hours' sleep in every 24 hours. The voice loves sleep. So sleep more than 8 hours. Make arrangements so you can do that. Sleeping alone goes a long way toward reducing inflammation of the vocal anatomy.
(I'm getting to the reflux, so please hang in there.)
3. You must try an herbal tea, very powerful for reducing inflammation; the herb is called yerba maté:

It will reduce the inflammation.
4. Excellent remedy to reduce inflammation: Aloe Vera GEL. Not the juice, the GEL. Get this brand, the finest one:
https://lilyofthedesert.com/product/aloe-gels/
Drink 3 ounces aloe vera GEL along with each meal you're eating.
5. You must keep your vocal anatomy MOIST. How? --With these lozenges:

(They have a plain flavor, cherry flavor, and they have sugar-free, if you don't want the tangerine flavor--no problem.)
If you prefer to drink tea, please use this one, with active ingredient, slippery elm:

Add honey to your tea, as this will be soothing to your throat.

SUPERFOODS FOR SINGERS:

If you are smoking (anything), you must stop. Try one of those over-the-counter gadgets/remedies for helping break the addiction to nicotine. Also, do not be in any proximity to other people, who are smoking (anything).
The intense heat alone, from the smoke, sears the fragile mucosal lining of the vocal anatomy. You NEED that mucosal lining intact, to protect your voice in general. That mucosal lining is so crucial. When it gets dried out, the body produces thick mucus, as a defense. Singing around thick mucus is a miserable experience. How to prevent this? ---Keep that mucosal lining intact! How to do that? ---Keep your vocal anatomy MOIST, by drinking your water, using your lozenges, getting your sleep, also increase foods rich in vitamin C, as this will fortify the mucosal lining. (Thin surface layer, on top of various organs and tissues, all throughout the respiratory system: this is what I mean by "mucosal lining.") We sing on the thin edges of our vocal folds, which means we sing on that mucosal lining. You NEED that working, intact, doing its thing. One way it protects your vocal anatomy is by warding off virus germs and allergens, as best it can.
Remember, the voice loves sleep. Get more than 8 hours if you possibly can. Make arrangements so you can sleep longer. This will help tremendously, to encourage the healing.

Thank you so much for bringing up this issue and for offering your help. I feel really fortunate that I can say that I trust my medical team fully. I can only imagine how much harder this would be if I didn't.
They were indeed bilateral vocal cysts, diagnosed at UCSF's Voice and Swallowing Center by Dr. Mark Courey (who is now the chief of Laryngology at Mount Sinai). You can see the cysts here. They're HUGE. As you can see from that post, the surgery was successful.
I'm at Kaiser now, instead of UCSF. It's objectively not as good as UCSF. I've seen two different vocal surgeons to get their assessment. Here is what my vocal cords look like now. It's totally different than the cysts. What they both say is that they aren't 100% sure if it's polyps or nodules, but the goal is to avoid surgery if possible. If they haven't gotten smaller in another 6 weeks or so, surgery will be an option on the table. That's when SLP comes in.
My current speech pathologist now ran the speech pathology department at Kaiser in Oakland for over a decade. She's not as good as my previous SLP (shoutout to Soha Al Jurf who changed my life in more ways that I can begin to explain), but I trust that she knows what she's doing, based on my experience with her thus far.
I recently bought this pad to put under my mattress in order to elevate the head of my bed around 4 inches. It allows me to lie straight while I sleep but also have a slight tilt of gravity keeping food/liquid down in my stomach.
I've only slept on it for one night, but I like it so far.
Edit: Shoutout to u/piratesweetie for the suggestion
