Replace. Thermal. Paste. No seriously though, best thing I ever did to my PS4 (bass model too actually) and it’s quiet and barely gets warm no matter what I play. See if a shop does it near you or YouTube it if you’re confident enough to do it yourself. Cleaning the dust out of it has never worked for me. I’m telling you, replace the thermal paste.

If you decide to do it yourself.

If you have a Xbox one buy these rechargeable battery packs for you controller

You will save money on batteries and the battery life of a fully charged pack last about about 2 weeks with daily use. Plus you can charge while playing so no more annoying waits and quick dashes out to the shop to get more batteries. I’ve probably saved way more than £50 on batteries with rechargeable battery packs.

As for the headset the Astro A10 is a great headset.

It’s way worth it’s money as the sound quality and microphone is great not like the over sensitive microphone and shitty audio on cheap £20 headsets. It’s durable as fuck as well, mine has survived horrible abuse and it’s still in perfect condition and I’ve gone through about 5 cheap headsets including Xbox official ones. It’s comfy to wear too.

I use this one and it's pretty solid for gaming. Good picture, good response time, handles motion fine. No complains at all besides the lack of adjustable stand.

Edit: actually that's a lie. The only other downside I can think of is that freesync is DP only, and only 1 HDMI supports 60hz/4k.

About 2 years ago I needed headphones and didn't have funds for Tutle Beach so I bought a cheap set off of Amazon until I could save up... These turned out to be so good that I have no need to get the TB headset and I still use them. The version I bought is no longer for sale but here is the link to the newer version. I highly recommend them and actually bought my brother a set for his bday on 10/2.

Lol, and their own info is already out of date!

Amazon UK only have one edition so far and that comes with a Captain Price figurine, though I suppose they've listed it as an additional item:

Platform: PC

Issue: Visual jitter when ADS'ing on high-refresh monitor

Repro Steps:

  1. Use high-refresh rate monitor at 144-165hz
  2. Aim down the sites of a weapon

Result: Animation noticeably jitters and appears to be lower than the monitor's target refresh rate, despite that the actual frame rate remains constant.

    Other notes:

I'm using the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278QR at 165hz. I've tried modifying in-game settings to no avail, including ambient occlusion, anti-aliasing, & render scale. All motion blur and film grain is turned off or to 0.

I was using the AK-47 ironsights when this happened, but it also happened when I switched to the Desert Eagle. I do not suspect this is weapon-dependent.

People in other threads have noted that it looks like the ADS transition animation plays out at 60hz despite that the monitor's target refresh rate is much higher. I would go so far as to say it feels like 30hz to me, but that's the sensation. It's like a vsync is suddenly applied to lock the refresh rate at 60 or 30hz during the ADS transition and then stops.

In my opinion, this should be a high priority issue. It completely ruins the feel of moment-to-moment gameplay. I will cancel my pre-order if this is not fixed soon.

EDIT: I can confirm that crouching also creates the same jitter / animation issue. The ENTIRE GAME looks like it's lower FPS. If you spam crouch you can really get the effect.

I went to PAX this year and felt all the SCUF controllers they had displayed and, while the paddles and custom features are nice, they felt terrible in the hand.

If I were to do anything big, Id get this thing and an XbOne Elite Controller.

I can recommend you to buy a USB Audio adapter and plug it to the PS4 and a Headphone jack extender

You have to be trolling. This is not budget. You could've done a 2070 build for $900 just a few months ago...

You can buy a pre-built 2080/ti around that price on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L34K4VG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_XHqJDb61375WG

If you wanna do a moderate pc build and in a budget, use the 2600/x and get a used card. A 980ti can be spotted around and sometimes under $200 these days and will preform right under the nose of a 2060 and above a 1660ti. You should be able to build a very respectable and modern machine closer to $600-$700

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/H6J6Mc

Budget would be 9100f and maybe a used 1060/rx580.

You don't need to blow $100 on windows 10, unless you really want to. And throwing $300 on loot boxes is why we have problems in this game.
