Haha, just run the oil really rich if you have to get it registered, guarantee it'll run like shit. Since these aren't shipped with MSC's, titles, or anything like that, it's kind of a tall order to get it registered. Don't worry about it unless they really get on your case.

Safety equipment will make it better for your case. Strongly recommend a left-hand mirror, headlight, taillight, and a horn (I used a DealPeak horn previously). As mentioned, I'm importing all of those units, combined into one system; that might be cheaper than trying to get everything separately.

Best of luck with the bike. If you have pictures of the bikes, I can take a look to make sure the engine will fit.

It shouldn't be hard to do with a Dremel tool or hand drill. Sometimes like this or a hand drill should do it. Plus I think the Dremel tool is pretty helpful for any jagged engine ports.

I am pretty sure putting it together for the first time is going to be the hardest part. After I took it apart the first time I was surprised how quickly I can take the whole thing apart and put it together.

Some YouTube videos could come help you with figuring out how it goes together.

Amazon or eBay will have a brake kit.

CNC Adaptor: https://www.amazon.com/UAUS-Sprocket-Adapter-Motorized-Bicycle/dp/B07ZJ3STLC/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1RF5YNX546933&keywords=motorized+bicycle+sprocket+adapter+kit&qid=1574881286&sprefix=motorized+bicyle+sp%2Caps%2C319&sr=8-6

Disc Brake kit: https://www.amazon.com/BlueSunshine-Front-Back-Disk-Brake/dp/B07458MXNB/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=motorized+bicycle+disc+brake+kit&qid=1574883409&sr=8-1
Note: The CNC hub has a 6 bolt pattern near the center of the hub to bolt the rear disc onto. If you wish to use disc up front, you will need a front wheel or hub that can adapt to disc brakes. You can also find 26" wheels with these disc brake hubs already installed.

Front disc brake will need one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Fashion-Life-Adjustable-Bracket-Mounting/dp/B019OML8VE/ref=pd_bxgy_468_2/136-3711700-3661816?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B019OML8VE&pd_rd_r=9be28cda-a6eb-4e2e-917e-90974ef50b31&pd_rd_w=wq72u&pd_rd_wg=XttIU&pf_rd_p=09627863-9889-4290-b90a-5e9f86682449&pf_rd_r=26T3QTM8CF54HNDW67HP&psc=1&refRID=26T3QTM8CF54HNDW67HP

For the front, you will need a new front wheel. https://www.amazon.com/Alex-Rims-Alloy-Front-Wheel/dp/B01FWHAHEE/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=26+x+1.75+bike+rim+disc&qid=1574887171&s=sporting-goods&sr=1-1

Disc Brakes are ideal, (better stopping) but if you don't want to go the hassle of installing them, you can instead opt for v brakes.

Use this video as a guide to installing disc brakes on your bike (please note, the rear disc will be bolted to the motorized bike sprocket, so, its mainly good for the front.

Also, if you prefer "Mag" wheels as opposed to spokes, here's a nice set of BBR tuning mags for $119. These Include the motorized bicycle rear sprocket, so the above listed CNC Sprocket Adapter will NOT be needed if you buy these wheels. The Mags are disc brake ready, no additional adapters needed outside of the front and rear caliper mounts.

Make sure everything fits your bike before purchase. Also, feel free to do some research.

I got them off of amazon for about $32 Here’s the link:
Sunlite D-Cruiser Handlebar, 32" W x 25" H x 7/8", Chrome Plated https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002I7MAEW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_5sRADbJ33ZZEG

To get it to fit my stem I had to order shims to go between the stem and the bars:

Sunlite Handlebar Shims, 22.2 to 25.4mm, Silver https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0065URKQ6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_AvRADb7AKZBSP

You have to do a lot of modifications to get such big bars to work, since I never could find a brake line big enough to reach the back and the throttle cable from the kit wouldn’t reach. The throttle setup is a bit odd and looks like it would fall off, but it hasn’t fell off once for me. I used 2 go cart throttle cables off of amazon also and a clutch cable lock from a 2 stroke to make the setup work. Here’s links to those:

HURI 3 Clutch Cable Lock Locker for Motorized Bicycle Bike 49cc 60cc 66cc 80cc 2 Stroke Engine https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06X9G5W2Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_wzRADbQABE3JR

WOOSTAR Throttle Cable fit for 150cc 250cc Go Kart Sunl Roketa JCL DUNE BUGGY Go Kart https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L5FYDYF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_hBRADbX2FXTT6

Good luck with yours if you decide to go with ape hangers, if you have any more questions about how I did it feel free to ask

Get these 2 products. You will thank yourself. The first thing I noticed when I started riding my new one (recently built a first bike myself) was that while riding in traffic, I was always checking over my shoulder and it was driving me nuts. Having mirrors is a godsend if you are riding in an urban environment or city. Also these are anti-glare which is very nice. Everything looks to be in check otherwise. I would ditch the chain guard like others have said. Other smaller things you can do is different muffler options you can look into, if you upgrade the carburetor or change the jetting on the stock one, make sure you have the proper CDI or you could run into ignition problems, also if you upgrade the carb, make sure you get the correct heat range spark plug. The rest is up to you. There are many options in the aftermarket for like cylinder heads and other little goodies. Enjoy your new toy mate.

I had this exact same problem with my china motor, except I actually broke one of the head nuts off with a section of the bolt still inside. The other bolts were varying degrees of bent and stripped.

When I tried to purchase new bolts, but I quickly found that 3mm diameter bolts with a pitch of 1mm are close enough to "nearly impossible to find" to be rounded to "plain old impossible to find."

Because of this I'm now looking around for either a conversion kit or a replacement motor that doesn't have all the fiddly bits attached. Here are some links to motors/kits I've found that seem good.

u/Hansj3 · 1 pointr/motorizedbicycles

I've got a kit much like that, and if I were to do it again, I'd get a kit like this every time.

https://www.amazon.com/Iglobalbuy-Powerful-4-Stroke-Compete-Motorized/dp/B06WRQRTH4

Every no name 2 stroke engine kit is about the same, so I'd find the one that makes you happy.

The reason the grubee 2stroke kits and others cost $250 and up, is that they work, right out of the box. Little fiddling, upgrades and re engineers, and good quality control. They all look the same as each other on the outside, but what makes em different is on the inside.

The 4 stroke kits are reverse engineered from an excellent starting point. Even crap build quality will still result in a useable motor.
The 2 strokes weren't, and depend on good finishing to make a good motor. Some of the cheap Chinese engines have it, some don't. If you don't get lucky, it's usually up to you to fix it...

It's not hard but time consuming. The more time you spend perfecting it the better it will be. Just take your time and it will be fine.

It's a 2 stroke so you have to mix 2 cycle oil in with normal gas. I run mine at 25:1 but when it was new i ran it at 16:1(more oil)

Off the bat I would replace the stock chain with a #41 so it doesn't derail as much.

Replace the stock spark plug with a NGK B6HS

This is the scooter:
https://www.amazon.com/Mongoose-Kids-Tire-Scooter-Grey/dp/B00E95KE1M/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=scooter&qid=1570546619&sr=8-5

This is the kit I bought about a year ago for for a bike: https://www.bikeberry.com/gas-engine-kits/4-stroke-bike-engine/flying-horse-38cc-lock-n-load-friction-drive-bicycle-engine-kit-4-stroke.html

I didn't spend anything beyond those two items. All I had to do was shorten the mounting hardware a bit and drill one hole through the deck of the scooter. It's a little janky, but I think it's hilarious and more fun than the bike was.

u/BigDBandito1998 · 2 pointsr/motorizedbicycles

I've looked around for some bike kits, and the 4 stroke engine is currently out of my price range. Do you think this one would be a good place to start? : https://www.amazon.com/Ridgeyard-Bicycle-Motorized-Stroke-Petrol/dp/B012FTZH42/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

u/Ella5471 · 2 pointsr/motorizedbicycles

I run the zeda 88/ cdh 66 pipe and its quite good. Added enough torque that I can pull wheelies now. Needs a muffler to be at a reasonable volume though. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N3ONOY9/ That's the muffler I used. Doesnt reduce performance much, and makes it very very quiet.

u/homelesshyundai · 1 pointr/motorizedbicycles

I used this muffler from Amazon on my motorized bike and it works great. On your pipe you will need to use a small piece of heater hose and some hose clamps to attach it as your pipe and the muffler have the exact same size entry/exit points. I know this because I have that exact expansion chamber lying around.

Also you can cut it down to whatever length you need, in my case I cut it in half and it still works beautifully to keep the racket down.
