Nice bike! I love that DB frame. I know a lot of people say the reach is too short. It's a really nice stiff single pivot frame tho in my scrub opinion.

The 2019 Atroz 3 is super similar except with tapered steerer and a few other changes, and it's been sold out in Large, all summer, from most places including Diamondback, so it has been selling very well this year at $1400. Amazon just got four more in stock but I had just emailed Diamondback asking when they would get them in stock, and I was told the 2020 versions are coming out in early October. I don't know if they meant the 2020 versions in general, or the 2020 model of the Atroz-- but of course now I have to wait a month and see what they meant by 2020 models.

Great bike, I would upgrade the sh$t out of that thing. These Fooker pedals are just like RaceFace Chesters and have been great so far.

I just picked up at Giro Chronicle a few weeks ago and am loving it. For safety, it has MIPS and the rear coverage reaches pretty far down my noggin, enough to make me feel safe at least. It is pretty affordable, and has a big visor (that’s adjustable) for sunny days. Easy to set up, comfortable, and plenty of color choices too, if you’re into that kind of thing.

My wife and I both use the Bell super 3R. There's a removable chin bar that you can store on your pack for when you need it. We find it super handy when we're going down techy/chunky trails or want to practice jumps/skills.. The best part is that you can take it off afterwards and climb/bike with a normal helmet.

Hey there

So I use something similar to this

Seems to work great so far! This is how I prefer to carry my tube.

You may have to zoom, but as you can see here it’s doing me justice.

Holds extremely well.

Best wishes.

I have these but listen out :)

Leatt 3DF Hybrid EXT Knee and Shin Guard (Black/White, Large/X-Large) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Q8MK44G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_uSdDDbFNX6W18

I know they look bulky and more downhill oriented, but I put them on in the parking lot and I pedal up in them for hours pretty much ok. even in hotter californian days (up to 100F). Feel free to ask me what else you want to know about these guards.

After both of my shoulders took hits this year, I invested in a jacket. I may look odd on the trails but I’ve had 2 falls with the jacket on and was perfectly fine. Great use of money in my opinion. Get well sir!

These are the ones I like, I have the women's style and they run pretty true to size for me. I wear a EU 43 in my running shoes and the EU 43 fits me great in these. I got a pair for my gravel bike and will be snagging a second pair for MTB (I like to keep one pair nice for my beer bike runs).

Definitely get knee pads. I use the G-Form Elite knee and shin guards and they're great. They're super comfortable and I usually forget I'm wearing them while I'm riding. I've also heard good things about the Kali Protective strike knee pads. If you start doing big gaps and drops and stuff you might want to get a full face helmet and maybe even a neck brace.

You gotta checkout fanny packs, or what the hip kids call hip packs. I rode for years with a platypus back pack and after switching to the fanny pack, I'll never be looking back. I have one that's for hiking by moutain smith which is great for longer or winter rides and also a small patagonia for short rides. Evoc has a super swweeeeettt hip pack that im getting soon. It even has a a hydration sack with the long tube to drink. You can fit a spare tube, co2 pump, 1.5L of water, tools, a snack, and your phone no problem. Unlike hiking or running with fanny packs where it bumps up and down, that forsnt happen biking. Its super stable and doesnt move around. Incredibly more freeing without a backpack and prevents sweaty backs in the warmer temperatures.

Seriously, if anyone is considering a light to medium/somewhat larger backpack, get yourself a hip pack! It'll be one of the best mountain biking gear choices you've ever made. I wish I was talking mad game and exaudersting, but they really are game changer.

Edit: here's the cheaper model. They have a cheaper race and more expensive pro model. From the research I've done, the main advantage is the new waist belt cushion and the more flexible, and removable, smaller pouches on the belt. My mountain Smith does not have the cushion like the pro and I have never felt I needed it. I guess if you were shirtless it would be nice but who rides shirtless? Good way to destroy your skin if you crash

I would recommend some Fooker pedals from amazon. https://www.amazon.com/FOOKER-Composite-Mountain-High-Strength-Bikesflat/dp/B07D66NDS3/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=fooker+chester+pedals&qid=1573603749&sr=8-3****

I am pretty sure they are made from the same factory as Race Face chesters as i have both and can't tell any difference besides the logos. I have been using them for awhile now and they have held up great and they are only 20 bucks.

I bought the predecessor to this a few years back: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0183RPQ0K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I just wanted a cheap setup to see if I liked night rides. I did like it and the light works well. I mounted it on the handlebar. I wrapped some rubber mastic tape around the bar so the light's clamp would have better purchase and it stays in place well.

These are pretty much the best drywall anchors I've ever used if you can't utilize a stud. You can probably even use the old holes.

Silicone tape is great and is really convenient. This one below will stay on for at least a few days at a time even in the shower.

Nice! As a newer rider myself, some big advice, get some new pedals, it makes the bike feel much better for very cheap. I always had a problem with my feet slipping off of the factory ones.

I use these fooker pedals
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D66NDS3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_-DK0CbP00MA22

They're very affordable and they're half the price of Raceface Chester's but they're the exact same mold.

Edit: unless of course you have no issue with the pedals you have. They just look like the factory ones and those are rarely comparable to aftermarket pedals.
