There's this weird nebulous categorization of "non-toxic" where most epoxies (ie: JB Weld) and superglue fall. Basically, they have been tested enough to show they won't poison you, but not tested enough to show if they're actually safe to be in contact with food. As pointed out, super glue can safety be used for wounds, so it's probably fine, it's just not "officially" fine.

Some info on these mugs:
Both were made by two completely different woman. All profits from the mugs themselves go back to the creators as part of a program for job opportunities.
The organization that brings the goods to the US is called Mission of Hope, Haiti. They also sell Haitian Blue Mountain Coffee. I’m not sure if it is available online or not. If you can get your hands on it, it is my favorite Haitian coffee.
If you like coffee with chocolate notes and would like to try Haitian coffee I recommend Rebo amazon link.
Some other Haitian coffees are Towo and Sēlēcto from Kafe, and Tigeorges. Im not as fond of these, they are more espresso focused.
I got it from Amazon, but it looks like they don't carry it anymore. A quick search turned up some here as well as eBay. Best tea cozy ever!

Nail polish won't hold up in the microwave. It pops/explodes.
I found these two sealants options used for diy painted dishes: Mod Podge Dishwasher Safe and Krylon Crystal Clear. They are both supposed to be dishwasher safe, but I don't think they are microwave safe.

It's a Le Creuset in deep black with a slightly yellow/rose-interior. The big handle fits my huge fingers and I tell myself the curved shape keeps the last of my coffee warm a bit longer.
