No you cannot use an iPhone for a webcam, and MFC does not allow men if you were thinking of couples camming.
I'd strongly suggest waiting until you can pick up a Logitech c920 or 930 from Amazon.
She can cam with the built in cam on her laptop, but the quality is not very good and she'll most likely waste her New Model status with the poor quality.
If she does end up going that route, I'd recommend picking up a lot of lights and fiddling with that to get the best quality video you can.
