The first thing that I would say is: If you're thinking or making something bigger than a Pong clone, dial it way back. Your not going to make something fantastic, or Hell even good, straight out of the gate. Think of one idea that you have, and stick only to that. Make something very small, you can always build on it as you progress.

As for resources, they're limitless. There are tons of engines, assets, tutorials, book, and anything else you'd want. I'll make a small list of things here to get you started, but I strongly suggest looking for other things that you'd need on your own. Research and critical tinging is paramount in this hobby/profession.

Engines:

  • Unity - Very powerful and free 2d/3d engine. Uses mainly a JavaScript dialect and C# for scripting. The asset store is a great built-in resource
  • GameMaker - Surprisingly powerful 2d only engine. Uses it's own language for scripting, and has excellent drag-n-drop scripting. It's been a while since I used it, but it was great from what I remember.

    Art:

  • OpenGameArt - I've used tons of assets from this site. They range in any quality/type that you could need.
  • Kenny.nl - Wonderfull asset packs, I've used one of their UI packs and it was great. I think these are also the guys that post free stuff to /r/gamedev every now and then.

    Music/Sounds:

  • FreeSound.org - Great resources. I've used many sounds from here, and they usually have just what I need.

  • as3sfxr - Create your own chipsounds! I've mad a bunch of stuff here if I needed something that sounded a bit less organic.

    Tutorials:

  • Cooking With Unity - Is fantastic. I've followed almost all of these, and I loved them. He does a really good job explaining the concepts, and the scale in difficulty isn't too seep.

    Books:

  • A Book of Lenses - I haven't gotten too far into it, but what I've read so far is great. Wonderful info on game design.

  • Game Programming Patterns - This is an awesome book to get into the programming aspect. The examples are written in C++, but can be implemented in any language. Also: The web version is totally free!

That's about all I can think of quickly. It should be enough to get you off the ground.

    Have fun, and good luck!

I haven't been cooking much lately, but...

Get [this book.](http://www.amazon.com/All-About-Braising-Uncomplicated-Cooking/dp/0393052303 "'Uncomplicated' is a lie.") Make all the foods. Pepperonata is one of my favourites, along with the cabbage recipes, then the chicken with prunes & olives, pork with milk, and pretty much all the beef recipes are the ones I made regularly. Having a braising pot is an absolute requirement, though [preferably a cast iron enamel one].

This is one I used to really like--before I learned how to actually cook. It was easy & good, but sometimes the difficulty came in when trying to find the correct type of seasoning packet at the store.

Huevos rancheros: make sure you have lard to fry the tortillas in.. and you might as well use that for the eggs, too. If you've never made it, it's basically a breakfast tostada with a corn tortilla piled with [refried or black] beans, salsa/pico de gallo, a fried egg, and cheese or sour cream on top. It's barely more complicated to make than eggs on toast, as long as you have some leftover beans, but much more rewarding. It's not too hard to make homemade refried beans, either, especially if you use canned beans--make a big mess of 'em & then use the leftovers for all kinds of snacks for days.

Carnitas: the secret ingredient the recipes don't tell you about is using some Coke in the cooking liquid.

Diana Kennedy has some good books if you want more Mexican foods.

.... There are lots of things I like to make. I dunno. Hummus & falafel. [Beef with broccoli.](http://rasamalaysia.com/beef-and-broccoli-recipe/2/ "This is my go-to Chinese recipe site.") Butter chicken [just buy the seasoning packet at the Indian market]. Saag. The hard thing about making different ethnicities is how many different seasonings you have to keep in the pantry, and then there are the essential varieties of rice. Usually jasmine & basmati are enough, though; jasmine for all East Asian foods, basmati for Middle Eastern & South Asian. Mexican can be pretty much any kind; I usually go with jasmine, I think. Sushi, tho, that requires another variety entirely. Picking one ethnicity at a time to master makes pantry building easier.. more gradual.

Oh, yeah, also Epicurious is a great site for recipes with lots of search parameters. Recipes are generally from Bon Apetit or Gourmet magazines--the recipes published in Bon Apetit are simpler & more reasonable than the ones in Gourmet. I would like to go to America's Test Kitchen, but that, like, costs money or something, so screw them.

First off, you need to make sure your insides are all emptied out. Take a bathroom break. Some folks like to take an enema. If you have enough fiber in your diet, it may not be necessary since your only playing with toys you can clean afterwards. Just make sure to go, even if you don't feel like it. Give yourself several minutes if you need to.

You want to start out with small toys, and lots of lube both on the toy and your bumhole. You will need be on your side when you start, and bend one of your legs forward like in this pic(best example I could find, atm). You will need to take it slowly. Take your time to make sure everything in and out gets lubed up. You can lie down on a towel if you need to so you don't make too much of a mess. Make sure you are nice and relaxed. You can take an nice hot shower or bath to help with that. Just keep pushing lightly, your bumhole will eventually let the toy in on it's own. It may be suddenly taken in. After that most sites I've seen recommend waiting about fifteen minutes to let your insides relax before playing with everything. After that slowly play around to see what you like. After you've gotten used to the process, you can gradually increase the size of your toys if you want. In my case, I was able to get into using larger toys pretty quickly without much issue. As for beginner toys, Aneros and Rocks Off has those. I would look around on google for some recommended beginner toys on forums. The Bad-Dragon forum might have some threads about that. I'd start out with cheaper toys like this or this, before settling into something really nice you might like. Some beginner toys are really nice, but can be disappointing if you want to move up to something bigger later and you've already thrown a lot a money at them. Also, look for toys that are curved so you can hit the prostate, especially vibrators. Straight toys can't really get at the right angle to hit it. I've made myself sore (but in the good kinda way) trying to hit the prostate with straight toys. The prostate is toward the front of your body, and you will need to aim your toys that that way. Keep that in mind if you want some fancier toys with ridges and whatnot. I've looked at a lot of nice toys that were like that, but the ridges were on the wrong side of the curve to be effective. I've heard that the prostate may be further in for some people. Just experiment until you hit it. It's typically more sensitive than the penis, so you should know when you've hit it.

There goes the surprise!

I haven't gotten it yet, but it was like a week ago at 5AMish and I just searched fox on amazon, cause you know... Foxes are kinda awesome.

When this decided to appear I was talking to my friend as it happened though, so she was laughing and asked for a link. Somewhere in that time span I pressed "Add to cart" and didn't notice. As 6AM nears I rush to checkout, without checking out what it was I was buying...

So now, with my fantastic new wallet comes a tail buttplug.

I'd recommend his autobiography American on Purpose if you haven't read it. Also if you have read it. If you can't read english it's a good starting point as well.

The best part is that if you're like me you read it all in his voice. He's lead quite the eventful life.

This is not an article; it is an excerpt from a book by Heather Mac Donald out today called The Division Delusion. There are a number of reviews of her book by other authors, scholars, and professors on that amazon page. Her work seems to focus on things that make protesters of her work call her mean things with little substance, like racist.

So with that knowledge out of the way: no, facts are not racist.

>If you do a little bit of research, you'll find that black and Hispanic families often can't afford to send their children to good schools,

It varies state to state, but in California you go to the school based on your home address, that is how you are assigned by the school system in your city. This can vary, and sometimes you get lucky and there is a charter school nearby, but at the end of the day most parents send their kid to public or charter schools, which they do not pay for. You may pay for books, and lunch, and some other classroom things required, but no parents largely aren't paying to send their children to school. Everyone can afford public school, and the largest ethnicity taking advantage of this system in California is, GASP IT'S THE FUCKING LATINOS!

>and many teachers give those children less attention.

That is just an absolute lie. Teachers in America are, largely, liberal and actively participate and teach social justice. I have done work and a number of schools in LA and I can tell you right now Latino and Black students are given every opportunity to succeed. The simple fact of the matter in regards to Black students is that they come from largely single parent homes where they often do not have a male role model and so they act out far more often then their peers of any other race. Statewide, Black students are over-represented in suspensions. As said, Black children are acting out because, in America, Black children are largely (66%) growing up in single parent homes. Hey, look, Hispanics are at 42%! How weird! I wonder if this effects them mentally and limits their success in school?! HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

>Oh, but the article doesn't mention that at all. It only says that black and Hispanic people score lower, which seems to imply that they're just dumb.

This excerpt from the book does not mention this because it isn't relevant to this section of the book. Who gives a fuck why these ethnicities are failing to reach the same levels of the other ethnicities when the point of the book is to show that there is clear discrimination against Asians and Whites at the college level. Why some students are failing and others should not be a factor in their admission, only their merit should matter. Did Martin Luther King really die so that Black kids with lower grades could be given a pat on the head and a "there was an attempt" sticker, let into these bastions of higher education, and then fail to graduate because they can't keep up?

You know what, here's a fucking controversial statement: if a Black, Hispanic, White, Asian, or whatever the fuck race student doesn't meet the standard a college sets out, they should not be accepted. Case closed. If Whites and Asians become over-represented, we'd safety be able to say they met the standard the college laid out. We could then try and figure out why Blacks and Hispanics are having so much trouble in school and try to find ways to fix it.

>The article makes the vague claim of "racial disparities", without explaining what those are. Again, the article seems to be pointing to race, rather than education, being the reason for low test scores.

This excerpt from the book refers to his:

>In 2003, for example, John Moores Sr., who was the one remaining regent committed to color-blind meritocracy, disclosed that Berkeley had admitted 374 applicants in 2002 with SATs under 1000 — almost all of them “students of color” — while rejecting 3,218 applicants with scores above 1400. UCLA had similar admissions disparities. In a Forbes column, Moores, who had fought tooth and nail to get the data, accused Berkeley of continuing to discriminate against Asians and of admitting students who were unprepared for Berkeley’s rigors.

Which is pretty much what I already explained: the bar was lowered for "students of color", meaning non-White and non-Asian. It was lowered because people wanted to feel good about themselves when they jack off to those Black student admission rates. Such virtue, wow. Much justice.

To respond directly to your comment: yes it's about race. Hispanics and Blacks don't do well in school. It can be linked back to gangs, single parent households, and more. Clearly it is about race because clearly these races have problems in their communities that no one seems to want to fix and instead we'll just lower the bar for them and dilute universities down till they're meaningless.

>The two bolded groups really stand out to me. There's really no reason to be opposed to civil rights groups, unless you're opposed to civil rights.

First of all: this excerpt of the book is stating a fact regarding the groups that came together to oppose the professor that was against the discrimination taking place at his university. It is NOT an attack on these groups, but the author does object to their decision to back up these racist actions by the universities. Second of all: stares off into the distance while distant shouting is heard sorry was I writing something I just had a brain aneurysm. Yes you are completely right I can't think of any time anyone has used the guise of civil rights to actively harm anyone else. Civil rights groups stand up for civil rights. Couldn't agree mo- stares off into distance while explosions go off in distance lets just... move on...

>In conclusion: this article abuses vague language and subtle word choices to make the reader subconsciously accept racist ideas, while still being able to deflect criticism by claiming it's about how collages should be meritocracies. To people who can decode the language of the article, the true message becomes distressingly clear: "Brown people are stupid, white people are smart. Brown people shouldn't be given the chance to receive higher education, because they're not worthy". This article was written purely to push a white supremacist viewpoint onto impressionable people.

This claim is disproven very early on in this except of this book:

>Only in 1998 did the university’s admissions processes operate without either explicit racial preferences or stealthy surrogates for race. The results were telling: At Berkeley, the median SAT gap shrunk nearly in half, to 120 points; black and Hispanic admits logged an impressive 1280 on their combined SATs. The six-year graduation rates of this class would increase 6.5 percent for blacks and 4.9 percent for Hispanics, compared with the class admitted two years earlier.

This book is not racist; it is just the truth you do not want to hear.

American Blacks and Hispanics have as much freedom and choice as every other American. They use that freedom, largely, to make bad life decisions. These bad life decisions, largely, effect their children negatively. These children, largely, act out in class and gain less from the education system then their peers. In California, we have an increasing Hispanic population that continues to have these problems, and a shrinking White population that was having very few problems with the system. Public schools have a bad reputation, but you can't put them blame only on teachers or the system when there is clearly a third factor in play. Something interesting you'll note about both those links: Black people aren't doing so hot. It's almost as if the social programs and groups that had historically benefited them are shifting to Hispanic people, who are an ever growing Democrat voting block. But that's OK because we'll let them into universities when they don't earn it. That'll fix it.

They've been doing this since 1999 and these problems aren't going away. Affirmative action is not only racist, it's pointless.

Ha ha, actually, the author of the article is the author this book (found right below the article).

So yeah, satire's a good way of putting it.

Go for it. If you check under 'more buying options' the ones sold directly from the Ty store are usually cheaper than the one Amazon shows by default.

Although it says beanie baby, the only beans are in the bottom of the hooves. It's pretty much like a normal plushie.

Save yourself the trouble and get one of these.

Its may not be the most conferrable pillow in the world, but with general neck support, you'll had a hard time to find better at the same price. Also even though its memory foam, they do become softer/less firm with continuous use.

u/popmannn · 2 pointsr/mylittleandysonic1

The Eachine E58, but don't worry about getting this one specifically. There are a slew of low budget knock off Mavics out there, so just find one that fits your budget. And if you do get that one or something like it. Make sure to grab a few extra batteries. Most of these things are small and have equally as small batteries that get maybe 5-10 minutes of flight time per charge. So having a few to use between charges is useful.

Even the same exact pile of powder will have scoops varying as much as double/half due to how you scoop it. I use the Gemini-20 which is pretty reliable as long as you use it properly and weigh in the neighborhood of 20-30mg+ and dilute volumetrically; you're not going to get any more reliable unless you chip in at least $2-300. Controlling air currents is still pretty important and if you're really particular, you can grab particulate filters but meh, I've gotten comfortable with it. I actually trust my vendors a FUCK TON more than I do street drugs, both in purity and a feedback system of other people that know what they're doing, who sometimes send it for GC/MS testing for everybody.

You can buy from Amazon if Steam is giving you trouble. Amazon is currently price matching most of Steam's sales. Use the promotional coupon GOONCAVE to save 15%. The code redeems on Steam just fine from personal experience.
