I love Robert the Bruce's story but didn't like this movie. Not sure why but I think it felt rushed and took too many liberties with actual history. Someone really needs to make a TV show about this time period. It's the only way to do it right.

BTW... if you really want to know the history you should read this book -- Robert the Bruce: King of Scots

I reads like fiction in places and that makes me wonder if it is completely accurate but it's one the best books I've ever read.

To give you a little more detail on that pretty complex subject: The Power of your PC or the Mbps your ISP gives you has nothing to do with whether or not you can stream 4k on PC. It's a DRM problem.
Netflix's 4k DRM uses HDCP 2.2. Both your input and output device have to support it, for the 4k content to play. The good news is that your Sceptre U505CV-UMC supports HDCP 2.2 if the info I found is correct, the bad news is, that your pc does not (non does). Correction: apparently very few GPUs do support HDCP 2.2, like the GTX 960.

What should work as an input device is something like the Roku 4 (at least on paper).

Hi all - you can purchase a "gift card" from Amazon. I also find it frustrating that they do not allow us to buy gift subscriptions anymore. I DO NOT LIKE auto deduct! If any of you are like me, we live pay check to pay check and having that $$ come out when it may not be there is not cool, not cool at all. At any rate, I've included the link to Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004LLIKVU/gcrnsts?ie=UTF8&keywords=netflix%20gift%20card&qid=1406380525&ref_=sr_1_2&sr=8-2. Good luck!

The only way that I found to request a movie is to contact Netflix and tell them that you want a certain movie. If enough people want this movie then you might get it on instant. If they have the contract for it and the ability to stream it. The other ways to see these movies would be to add them to the DVD queue as that is the only way they are available now. Or you can buy them Feast 3 Pack its a pretty good deal all three movies for around 10 bucks.

This is a very insightful show. I love watching this right before I go to bed. I really do not mind this being taken off netflix because I wanted to buy the set on blu-ray anyways; I guess now is the best time.

If you have Prime, I recommend their orginal: Patriot

I thought it was super funny

After Lovesick, which I really liked, I watched Crashing. It might not be what you're looking for, but there are some similarities in humor, and it follows a group of Brits of a similar age. If you do end up liking the main actress/writer, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, check out her other show, Fleabag, on Amazon Prime.

My monitor is 1792 x 768. Here's Macgyver on Netflix. As you can see it fills the height of the screen with black borders on the left and the right. I can see what you're saying about Netflix possibly storing their widescreen movies with black borders on the top and bottom for some reason, but then I'd expect to see them regardless of the computer and I'm pretty sure on other computers they weren't there.

To connect your wireless Xbox 360 controller to your PC, you need both of these:

I checked Amazon, Startech.com, and monoprice. Adapters cost almost the same as the Roku.

Edit: here's one for $16: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LNKQC5M/

A PS3 is an option, IIRC.

Does your TV have a component input too? That would open up more possibilities for adapters.

If your area's like mine, there are lots of cheap and free TVs with HDMI on craigslist. I went looking for one last week for showing movies outside in the summer.

Thank you! I'm mostly just interested in No. 7, but I can't find it digitally available on either Spotify or iTunes. Also, I can't seem to track down the artist "Suemarr" other than a disc that's available on Amazon Japan for more than $180...

If you've found where to get the OST more easily in the 3 months since you originally posted, let me know.

If you haven't read the sequel This Book Is Full of Spiders I highly recommend it. It's a rare book that actually makes me laugh out loud but both of Wong's books did many many times.

There is a 58 minute PBS documentary included with Amazon Prime -- is that different than this "series" you mention?
