Truth right here. We only use a stroller to walk to places near our home. As soon as a subway is involved, it's all carrier all the time. You can use an Ergo/Tula/wrap style from infant to toddler. I have friends who still carry their three year old around in a Tula. (Mine would not be so patient...)
But we do have a stroller: Britax B-Agile, which is basically the same as the CityMini recommended elsewhere. We were given an Uppababy Chameleon by some friends who moved out of the city and it was too big so we passed it on too. Honestly, for the city even the B-Agile is too big. I have gear envy for these guys: gb Pockit or Quinny Yezz.
