At the moment, we're eyeing up the Osprey Farpoint.

We want something a little smaller for me (the combination of daypack and main pack at 65L was a little too much), and something a little bigger for my wife (46L was nice for the carry on aspect, but I ended carrying some of her gear because it was just too small).

We've read that people have gotten away with carrying on the farpoint, and it would be really nice to have that as an option.

Basically we both want bags that don't physically stick out quite as much as our existing ones, and keep the weight closer to our backs. When they're full, we look a bit like turtles, and they can be back heavy if they're not packed carefully.

Look for LinenMe on Amazon, like this one: https://www.amazon.com/LinenMe-Brittany-12-Inch-Cloths-Natural/dp/B009BTIW7O/

I have a larger towel from them and it's great.

I love my Bluffworks, but have been looking around for other brands to recommend. On another thread someone posted these Union Bay Chinos and they are nylon and spandex. For the price, they look worth a shot to me.

I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AEINQ9K
It's not perfect, but at least I don't have to buy a new one at each location. Prefer a rechargeable one, but this was the best weight ratio I could find. Close enough shave that I can't complain too much, plus it seems to be the standard reddit answer.

Hahaha, I like how the pic says "not this", "not this"...
It's good to be specific.

Unfortunately I haven't got any recommendations for you (that I've tried myself). But you could possibly find beige golf pants.

Example on amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/adidas-Puremotion-Front-Khaki-35x30/dp/B00HVRGFHC/

I know I haven't got the exact shade right. But really, any brand golf pants in your colour should work. They're all designed to be moisture wicking and dry quickly. You should be able to find some cheap ones too. Just hunt around a bit online for golf pants in that specific colour.

If you were in the UK, I'd tell you to just look in sportsdirect. If you're US, maybe walmart?

Hope this helps.

I have a multi-tool of eating utensils. Knife, fork and spoon that fold out of one handle. It's easy to wash, great for camping, airports, trains, cars, etc. Highly recommend!

Edit: Mine appears to be discontinued, but here is something similar from amazon.

I use this Bluetooth keyboard and like it quite a bit. I am also currently using a mechanical keyboard and am thinking of how I'm going to fit it in my bag when I hit the road again, but that bluetooth keyboard was great for over a year. It still runs too. The battery lasts forever. I used it every day for work (software) and I also write quite a bit. It'll go for over a week, I never had an issue with it runnign out of batter. It also charges via microUSB so you can just plug it into a USB battery.

I agree with the single brick concept, and actually own this Anker hub with USB-C. But it takes too long to charge the laptop to be useful

As far as trust-able names go, I find the pickings are fairly slim. You wind up paying a premium for it.

Anker, my preferred, has one without an SD slot at $60.

Aukey has one without the SD slot. $40.

Aukey has another, but it's missing the HDMI port. $17.

Lenovo's has all the bells/whistles, but comes to $58.

You have ask yourself if you're willing to drop that much on a trustworthy name, or if ones like this from Mokin are worth the $30 risk.

Are you using the duckhead plug, or the optional longer wall cord for the MBP charger?

I've compromised for travel with a wall cord that is smaller and lighter, and can probably be ...stolen... from some other device you already have. These replaced the little removable corner plug on the MacBook and iPad chargers.

This is the EU version - gives a bit more flexibility as far as plugin location, and is an adapter. Longer lengths are available, this one is 2 ft:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072R1FYXY/ref=gno_cart_title_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2LM6ZPY06LT1N

Maybe some shorter USB cables (one of these is USB-C, one USB-A) Either can replace both of your phone chargers:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XDB51VL/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

If you go the route someone suggested of charging phones from the laptop, smaller adapters like this may help:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076VP4P63/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

As for EU plugs, I like the tiny ones, but one of these provides two plugs in one outlet:
