Costco is a good option. If you want to try something new I got this memory foam off amazon and am so happy with it! (this is the other popular brand they carry). I work as a server and having this mattress helps my back a lot. Check out the reviews for memory foam on amazon and see if it's right for you. They're cheaper than the cheapest of a regular mattress and in my opinion better than any other mattress I've slept on. Highly recommended.

If you really want to go cheap though, find one on craigslist. If you end up going to a store $400-$500 for a regular mattress isn't a bad price. Might have to go to a few stores and haggle to find this price.

Anything in the Santa Ana Mountains or (a little further form you) Laguna, there will be trails! Just look for green on Google maps, zoom in and see if there is a trail. I mentioned Black Star Canyon which is a really good one. but I'm sure you can find more. I know road trails a lot better, so I can't remember names of specific MTB trails. I'd probably look at Oneill regional park, Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park, Anything coming off Alta Laguna Park will be stupid fun, I've always wanted to do the Westridge Trail, but never have. There are good books on this type of thing too, here is one

My favorite book that lists day hikes is this one:

http://www.amazon.com/Day-Hikes-Around-Orange-County/dp/1573420476/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1375381259&sr=8-3&keywords=orange+county+day+hikes

It has very detailed information about each hike, including length and elevation gain, as well as really good instructions on finding trail heads. The maps are good, too. I use the book in conjunction with online trail reviews to get a good sense if I'll enjoy the hike or not. It is a few years old, but I haven't had any issues yet with information being outdated.

Another decent book to check out: http://www.amazon.com/Best-Hikes-Orange-County-Series/dp/076275107X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1375381259&sr=8-1&keywords=orange+county+day+hikes

I have the Eufy cams and love them. No subscription fees, very robust options, more options being added with updates (still waiting on Google Home integration though). But so far been really pleased with them and also the door sensors they have as well. Ditching ADT shortly.

I've got a 2001 Civic and I replaced it myself. It was honestly really, really easy. Just took a little elbow grease and a little research on youtube/google. It cost me about 50 bucks in total. I used this video as a guide and this video is a little more recent (I haven't watched through it fully)

You wanna buy foam-backed fabric from jo-anns or any store similar to it, a metal brush, some razor blades, and some adhesive spray like this one.

What kind of car do you drive? I'm betting you could look up your car on youtube along with the correct key words to find out more info. Since you have an older car, it's probably gonna be easier to service yourself than if it were a new car.

We got this one for a day bed. Depending on if you get a full or twin or a 6" or 8" you can stay in the neighborhood of $100. It's firm, but comfortable, good for naps.

I was getting murdered last year. This year I'm a little better prepared. I highly recommend:

I picked up one of these and it worked pretty well for a while. Batteries die and water could leak though (my hose eventually burst). I also tried an ultrasonic model but that didn't seem quite as effective. There are other things you could try like coyote urine.

Consider the quiet beaches like Table Rock Beach. Only about 1.5 miles south of Montage. Easier to setup before hand and less crowd.

This too: http://www.amazon.com/Light-String-Multi-Battery-Operated/dp/B00CLYYYLO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1398210572&sr=8-2&keywords=battery+led+christmas+lights

Google voice with this works great for me I use it as my home phone and is free.

I use this rolling tote. It's great if I have to walk home, because it drastically increases how much I can transport. The price has gone up since I got it, but I think it's worthwhile since I can use it as a carryon on the train as well.

If you're up to the task, you could always try replacing the screen on your own.

You can find cheap replacement screens on ebay or amazon

Good luck!

I just use this. Works great. I ended up swapping out the faucet after a year tho. End was peeling and showing patina. Nothing bad with that. Just didn't like it aesthetically.

About chalk, get this : http://www.amazon.com/Metolius-Ball-Non-Marking-Chalk-Substitute/dp/B000212TGA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323424041&sr=8-1

It's basically invisible chalk and does not leave a mess. I've been using it and it's amazing.

Lots of trails in south orange county. I finally bought a book on the subject (I'll post the name of it when I get home). I ride Tijeras/Trabuco loop quite a bit. But I've also ridden Bellview Trail (by Coto). There is lots of trails in and around Saddleback mountain. I'm a poor climber so I stay away from those. I hear Whiting Ranch is a good trail. Theres trails in Laguna Niguel and Crystal Cove.

Have you tried the socaltrailriders website?

EDIT: Here's the book.
