Here's a quick tutorial! Do give me a shout if you need clarification of any parts of it!
To make a cover for your cth480 you'll need to find a glass supplier that can cut you a sheet of 2mm glass sheet to 123x205mm.
The prices, quality and precision of the cutting can vary a lot between suppliers and you may need to search around for one that doesn't have a minimum order size.
If you search google maps for glass suppliers, you should be able to find a fair few local suppliers close to where you live!
.
When you get the glass cut, the edges will be very sharp, so you'll need to smooth over everything to make it safe/comfortable to use.
I've experimented with different ways of doing this, but on a small scale, the most effective method I've found has been to use some fabric backed wet/dry sandpaper in the 300-350grit range stuck with double sided tape to a hard smooth surface such as a granite chopping board, or a hard kitchen work surface.
Ideally you'd want some sort of diamond abrasive, but they're more expensive, and harder to get hold of. Sandpaper will work fine for a one off though, but you may want at least one or two spare sheets, as the hard glass sheet will wear down the sandpaper very quickly!
Also, be sure to have something soft to put the sheet down on when you're working so that you don't inadvertently scratch the surface by putting it down on a piece of grit from the grinding process.
.
When it comes to sanding, first off wet the sand paper, this helps the sand paper cut more smoothly as well as keeping the glass dust down. You want to avoid breathing any of the dust if possible!
Hold the glass sheet at around 45 degrees to the sand paper and, applying light pressure, make circular motions to grind the edge down. Your first aim should be to dull all of the sharp edges of the sheet left over from the cutting! This should only take a few strokes over the paper to do!
Decide which side of the sheet you want to be the top. This side will need to be beveled so that it's comfortable to use! Depending how much beveling you want, you can remove as much or as little of the edge as you want.
You can also round off the edges and corners of the cover. I'd recommend doing so if you can work out how to, but I'm not sure how to describe the process without making a video about it.
Once you're done with the grinding you'll want to clean off the cover the same way you'd clean normal glassware!
.
If you want to have the low friction surface finish, then you'll need to get hold of some silicone spray lubricant, you can spray it on the surface and then buff it on with a glasses cloth or some kitchen towel.
The main advantage of the surface finish is that it gets rid of the 'break in' period for the cover. The clean glass cover can start off a bit sticky and takes a little while to become nice and smooth without the silicone finish. You could alternatively rub some candle wax over the surface as a substitute for the spray though.
.
As for attaching the cover to the tablet, so long as the cover doesn't slide around on the tablet it's fine, you could use glue, double sided tape, or any other method you want to stop it moving around.
You could even use something like this on the corners of the cover if you wanted it to be easily removable!
.
hopefully you'll understand some of what I've said in the wall of text that this has become, but do feel free to ask me about any parts of it if you need some clarification or more info!
You should first find out which switch you would prefer before looking for a specific keyboard. I personally enjoy speed switches but it is all personal preference. If you are looking for easier finger control along with speed you would probably like either a cherry mx red or cherry mx brown keyboard. I have used both and despite the browns being tactile and having a deeper actuation point they feel very comfortable to play with. The red switches do require more finger control but are also very comfortable to use. Good luck!
Note: This is all my opinion
My current keyboard: https://www.amazon.com/RIPJAWS-KM570-Cherry-Speed-Silver/dp/B01LZEVDKI
Wow! Thanks a lot! Very nice and thorough comparison! By the way, this is a picture of my grip: http://imgur.com/3deTCrg . It's not too clear in this photo, but sometimes I hold my pen a tiny bit higher than that, and as you can already see, part of my index finger contacts the upper silver half. I just included this picture since I didn't really elaborate on how my index finger was contacting the silver portion of the pen. The part of my index that contacts the silver portion is just uncomfortable. I wish that Wacom would have just made the whole pen out of the same black material. I honestly didn't even realize that the silver material was the cause for the annoyance in that part of my index finger; I thought it was just sweat or something, but I tried gripping much lower so that my whole index finger contacted the black material and did not touch the silver material at all, and my index felt much more comfortable and not sticky and stuff. This was just an experiment to confirm if the silver material was actually a problem, though. Yesterday, I wrapped toilet paper around the silver portion, and it feels much better now: http://imgur.com/DD6yTrI . LOL. But the real problem, I think, is the thinness of the pen. I know the 480 pen has a slight curve in it and how its circumference increases from bottom to top and stops increasing around the middle (I think?), but according to your comparison the 470 pen has a similar characteristic (or perhaps I'm misunderstanding you)? Well, I'm not sure. I take it that the 470 pen has different circumferences throughout it and not a consistent circumference? Also, could you try gripping the 470 pen and 480 pen around the middle so that part of your index (your grip is probably different than mine, but I assume a pen would contact your index somehwere around the top portion like my index) touches the 1/5 "BAMBOO" logo of the 470 pen and the silver part of the 480 pen and try moving the pen around for a bit and tell me which is more comfortable (solely based on how that top portion of your index feels)?
Also, what is that white material wrapped around your 470 pen? Does it help you grip the pen? And I asked you to compare the 3 pens, but I'm curious; which tablet do you use (with your 470 pen I assume)?
This is the 470 pen I plan to get if I do get one!: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0070T5LUS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AE6G6TPW3XA9O
I was planning to buy one off of eBay, but mainly Japan sells them, and shipping takes too long, and I don't really want to pay for expedited shipping. I'm also planning to buy an actual pencil along with the 470 pen, so free shipping! This pen is basically the same one as yours, right?
Sorry for the wall of text!
Best of luck! I really, really recommend a book called 'You are the Placebo' by Dr. Joe Dispenza. Mindset plays a huge part in recovery, you can do it!!!
(You could get the audiobook free here if you haven't used your audible trial yet, by the way)
https://www.amazon.com/You-Are-Placebo-Making-Matter/dp/1401944590/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1519868092&sr=8-1&keywords=you+are+the+placebo
I was also feeling the same, so I went ahead and bought some Sennheiser HD 558s and just attached a ModMic onto the side for whenever I talk to people. I heard they're good open-back headphones with a great soundstage and got them for around $90. If your room is loud though, you'll hear more background noise while wearing them compared to closed-back.
Also worth noting that there's less bass with these when compared to most other gaming headsets, so it'll be more neutral sounding, so if you're really in love with bass there should be better options to suit that taste.
I'm not sure what you mean by rgb since it's just a test kit, but this is the best one if you don't care about trying the less popular switches: https://www.amazon.com/AKWOX-Mechanical-keyboards-keyboard-Sampler/dp/B01G3BJOHO/ref=mp_s_a_1_12?keywords=cherry+mx+tester&qid=1573694040&sprefix=cherry+mx+test&sr=8-12
It comes with brown, red, blue, and black. Basically good for testing silvers too since reds are almost the same. If you end up liking the reds, you can just get silvers instead if they're a similar price.
Edit: If you meant one that comes with reds, greens, and blues, I could look for one but I don't know of a good one off the top of my head.
I would say go for Logitech g102/203, g403 refurbished if you can, refurbished deathadder,if you like heavy mice try Minonix castor that seems popular, but if you want to try tablet go for xp pen g430 or Huion h420. The best mechanical keyboard for that budget would be corsair k65 with reds, red dragon Kuantan with knockoff blues
Other mice to check out i forgot to add: steel series rival 300, Logitech g302(/303? you can try the hyperx pulsefire
https://www.amazon.com/Plugable-Performance-PixArt-Precision-Applications/dp/B071J9JC6S/ref=sr_1_71?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1498178227&sr=1-71&refinements=p_n_availability%3A1238047011%2Cp_36%3A-7500 this also looks very good but the mouse feet catch on cloth pads :/
i play with a Huion H420 (1) with an extra pen (2). i playd with wacom by a friend (3).
i think wacomstylus is thinner and u can hover higher above the tablet. huion is a simpler tablet. if u buy the tablet just for osu, i think a wacom is wasted potential.
(sry for my english, hope u can understand my point) =)

I'd highly suggest a corsair like this one
https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-STRAFE-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B00ZUPOMDQ
Probably the best keyboard for the price, if you can deal with the red colors
I Recommend the following:

the keyboard is the anne pro rgb which comes with gateron (smoother than cherry xm) reds, browns or blues which i got from this site :http://www.banggood.com/APP-Control-Anne-PRO-Blue-Red-Switch-RGB-Bluetooth-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard-p-1064055.html?rmmds=search (use the code ANNEPRO for additional price reduction)
as for the mousepad it's the glorious pc gaming extended mousepad which comes in all sorts of sizes and shapes https://www.amazon.com/Glorious-3XL-Extended-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B0164KY294
if you have any questions about hardware or peripherals, i've used a ton of different mice and mousepads from my cs:go global days and alot of different keyboards for osu!, so i'm quite knowledgeable ;)
>Not compatible with prior Intuos (CTL480)
/u/Ztreg, I'm pretty sure you need this one (can also be the one without the eraser but I couldn't find it). Might have a hard time finding it for an acceptable price though since the 480 is discontinued.
EDIT: German amazon has one for 33€, shipping might be rather expensive if you're not in europe though. Idk if there's an english option I could guide you through the site if you want to buy that.
i recommend Cm Storm Quickfire TK, comes in reds blues browns (maybe others). good quality, back-lit for around ~$100
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AOIRCI6/ref=twister_B01CJNHEEK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Which of these keyboards should i buy
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QS6MG8B/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=sl1&tag=mattslifeadve-20&linkId=269ef4af33dc36f758db7b2747fbfcce&language=en_US&th=1
or
https://www.amazon.com/Tecware-Phantom-Mechanical-Keyboard-Outemu/dp/B079HQM71L?th=1
if not is there any better keyboards on a 50$ budger
Heres the link of the keyboard on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Blackweb-Gaming-Mechanical-Keyboard/dp/B07GGVKX68/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2KLP561V4I3N3&keywords=blackweb+keyboard&qid=1563590335&s=gateway&sprefix=blackweb+ke%2Caps%2C169&sr=8-3, and they are not flat, and I got mine at Walmart which is probably why it was $25. But you can get one off of Ebay for like $20 sometimes.
I used this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004QNWABE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_-J0YzbA8AR9YW to print the image on and these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XHRC3GM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_9K0YzbVCC06G2 to cover the print to protect it better. That specific printable sticker paper only works with laser printers.
I printed this https://puu.sh/xJYaW/2a6d185e85.png on 8.168x10.572 inches because that is how large my printer could print. ignore the things on the side, that was just me trying to not waste these paper by making stickers out of them.
If you can, get the CTL-480. But if you can't, get a Veikk S640. It's really good and it's only $23.
Veikk S640: https://www.amazon.com/OSU%EF%BC%81Tablet-VEIKK-Digital-Battery-free-Pressure/dp/B07D34DP5M
https://www.amazon.com/VT207N-1600x900-Back-lit-TouchScreen-Monitor/dp/B00LX7M2RI
This monitor has a much better response time
That isn't a touchscreen ...
Edit: I'd recommend this https://www.amazon.com/VT207N-1600x900-Back-lit-TouchScreen-Monitor/dp/B00LX7M2RI it's the one that mario uses
I recommend this one
Pens are replaceable. As long as you buy the pen that is compatible with your tablet it will still work. You can try finding a new pen on amazon.
Edit: Found the pen for your model on amazon, http://www.amazon.com/Wacom-LP-180E-CTH-480-CTH-680-CTH-480S1/dp/B00JMJEVW8
I got the smaller one ("compact"). I didn't realize there was a full-sized one too when I ordered it, otherwise I'd have probably gotten that one. The compact one isn't too bad; just the numpad and arrow keys are shared and toggled by num lock. The smaller size fits better on my desk though since I got a bigger mousepad to avoid mouse drift problems.
Probably not too much use for you cus its a united kingdom link but this is what Im talking about http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wacom-Intuos-Pen-Graphics-Tablet/dp/B00ME7HE5Q/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1414762005&sr=8-3&keywords=ctl+480
https://www.amazon.com/OSU%EF%BC%81Tablet-VEIKK-Digital-Battery-free-Pressure/dp/B07D34DP5M
I bought it for $20 when it was on sale
I just saw that you wrote that you don't have space for a full version keyboard, since all of them are around 45cm wide. Just buy the Quickfire TK then. Red switches with red backlighting and for a decent price.
Here is the desktop version of your link
https://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-TK-Mechanical/dp/B00AOIRCI6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484915040&sr=8-1&keywords=quickfire+tk
75$ right now if you prefer red switches, also you should specify where you live so we can count in the shipping.
