Equipment:
2 5 gallon glass carboy

Bubble Airlocks These allow the CO2 to escape the carboy while keeping the oxygen out. Alcohol fermentation is an anaerobic process. Too much oxygen will cause production of acetic acid(vinegar).

Non-Chlorinated water(I buy 5 gallon jugs, carboys what have you of spring water from my local co-op. Make sure it is spring water. Not "drinking" water. Chlorine isn't good for yeast.)

Wine siphons are really helpful. Used to just use a polyurethane tube, and that lead to some trial and error siphoning. There are two fermentations that'll happen during the process. You'll have to siphon the wine from one carboy to another. Hence why you need 2. Pro tip: Don't stick the siphon all the way to the bottom. That's where yeast, the oak chips, and clay from the primary fermentation are going to settle. Same with the secondary, but that'll be mostly yeast if you siphoned from the primary properly.

A giant ass funnel and corks obviously.

Wine Bottles! Go with the green. Reduces oxidation by letting less light in.

Bottle Tree! Use this to let your bottles dry out after cleaning them. Make sure all your pieces are sterile.

A corker!

I usually buy a wine must kit that has the clay sediment for nutrient content, finely ground oak, yeast, clarificant, and of course the wine must. (Must is a high quality grape juice that is fairly dense). For a first time I do suggest getting a must kit. It has detailed step by step instructions along with it. It's going to take about a month for both fermentations to be completed. Do try to keep the temperature of the carboy between 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit/23.5-27 degrees Celsius. Saccharomyces cerevisiae thrives best at that temperature gradient.

The musts price range wise are going to be between 60-200 dollars for the most part. You can ferment anything with sugar though. A 5 gallon carboy is going to get you 25+ bottles of wine easy. It's actually interesting to see how the taste of the wine changes over time between each bottle. Generally the yeast/sugar content will give you ~12% alcohol in these kits.

Ha. Sure.

The gentleman that came over used two products:

Lo Line Pheremone Trap: This works like a roach motel. You make a little thin house out of the package and put a mint looking tablet in the middle of it. This tablet attracts the roaches. The roaches climb in but do NOT climb out. There is a super adhesive at the bottom of the trap that traps the roaches. Once their legs hit the adhesive...donezo! They're not coming out. It was rather amazing how many roaches this thing trapped over night.

Dupont Advion Roach Bait Gel: This gel works like a trojan horse. The roach will take the bait back to the colony and that will kill off the rest of the roaches. Its a secondary line of defense. The guy basically took the gel and put in the corner of cabinets and behind the hinges of doors. All places roaches love to traverse. Its kind of funky smelling but not too bad.

I have a cat and he didn't bother messing with either product...though, your animal, if you have one, might be different.

It's the same as normal recipies but you need to treat the milk with enzyme drops first. I buy the milk (make sure it's pasteurized, NOT ULTRAPASTEURIZED (this is why you can't just buy lactose free milk to make cheese with)), put in like twice the drops as the bottle recommends (I do 40 drops per gallon) and leave it in your fridge for 2 days. Shake the milk up a couple times a day if you can.

Then follow your normal cheese recipe. It can't make any hard cheeses though because those require lactose to eat. I still take a handful of pills when I eat the cheese though just to be cautious.

If I may first say congrats. Then recommend this:

Best Beethoven recordings I've heard. Gardiner back to the original handwritten notes on his Manuscripts to record they way B wanted it to sound. Also instruments in b's day weren't as advanced as now and had less sustain. So b wanted much of the symphonies played faster than is normal today.

Which means they are even better for neighborly vengeance.

Nothing is completely heat resistant, especially not of you leave it on an hot, empty burner.

EDIT: here's a picture of said spatula It still works, but isn't as non-stick as it used to be.

But what I should mention is that the price isn't the biggest factor for me, it was the fact that my mom bought me a new set of kitchenware when I left home for the first time and I've kept these things in peak quality ever since. When I moved in with her I graciously offered to let her use my supplies, as she had none of her own. By this point she's broken and/or damaged most of the non-metal items that I brought with me. I was always taught to keep other people's things in even better shape than they keep them out of courtesy and regard for their generosity, but I guess I might be the minority.

About that... There are tons of examples on Amazon of mechanical pencils that cost more than $10 and have tons of reviews and purchases. Once you get into metal bodied mechanical pencils you can easily spend more than $10 but chances are you'll be able to hand them down to your children they're so durable.

They were a gift from a friend because I told her that my only means of handling road rage was to scream "I hope you get hemorrhoids!" I found them on Amazon. Congrats, you made OP search for you...sire

It seems silly, but you may want to get something like this http://www.amazon.com/Locker-Brand-157281-Original-Fridge/dp/B001UFNCHM or buy a mini fridge for your room?

The Satanic Bible is 9 bucks on Amazon. For best effect, I suggest asking if they would like to study the Bible with you, then get this book out and open it to chapter 5 (Hell, the Devil, and how to sell your soul).

get rid of the cables. (since it requires another car to actually help you). Instead get a jump-n-carry

As a squeamish female that lives on her own and is plagued with motherfucking Brown Recluse's on a daily basis this is the safest way to keep everything out of the house. Plus, your house will smell amazing.

u/creativexangst · 2 pointsr/pettyrevenge

Ha...that would be interesting. No, I'm referring to this
