Shawn is a great guy and I highly recommend his vlog, but I'm not sure he's the best place to start from scratch. If you're looking to learn how to coach pole vault, I recommend this book. It's a more systematic approach to developing the vault.
My coach has us do sprint drills. We just focus on running with high knees, and sprint through tiny hurdles. Or we put one of these on the ground and sprint through them with high knees, or do different step drills in them. We do different variations of these

This stuff is really good. It's the purest protein that you can buy. I believe it was designed for cancer patients to prevent muscle loss. The scoops that you have to take are tiny, so you can mix it in milk or smoothies. Here is more info.
