Of course it may be cheaper to just go to those self-service car washes, as they're about five(ish) dollars a visit. I bought a ton of car stuff and it was quite a bit more than five dollars, and I don't think I will ever break even as I am rarely in the mood to drag out all the stuff to wash my car... but I don't regret buying them as it is nice to really wash my car on a nice day and really get in touch with it and fix any issues I find.

But those self service car washes are fun too! Grab a bluetooth speaker or hope the place plays music and rock out.

There are also grit additives you can add to paint for traction and clear sprays with invisible grit that look better and are easier to keep clean.

You fill it with just water and soak the ceiling with it. It absorbs the water pretty quickly. So you really can start scraping within 3-5 minutesyou may need to spray it a couple times and spray as you scrape. If you keep it moist, it comes off pretty easy unless it has a coating. Then you can use a scraper or they make these giant ceiling Sanders with vacuum attachments that makes clean up way easier.

It’s a SMALL unit however.

It’s not the best for doing large areas and it doesn’t heat the water like larger more expensive units.

But, it’s small, compact, extremely easy to use, and does a rather good job.

It’s best for picking up after dog accidents and kids spilling juice.

Beats the rag method.

That’s being said I’ve owned a larger busses unit like this before. More parts and complexity means more points of failure. My last big boy was repaired twice.

H2ofloss. I'm pretty sure it does everything else a $100 one does (do different pressures, comes with lots of different cleaning tips, that's about it) for only $30. I've had it for half a year, and it's great. Totally eliminates hand floss.

I've used this exact one, it works really well. They also sell them for around $100 at Target/Walmart, but are usually marketed as carpet cleaners for people with pets.

I would imagine if its cheap, it's probably electric (normally less than 2000 PSI). Basically all power washers uses a 1/4" connector at the end, but most electric ones come with the revolver-style nozzles. Those work ok, but I've found that the individual ones work better. Here are some I found on Amazon for $6.99 (Prime). I don't own these, but the reviews/questions say that they should work for most standard power washers. They have the same 5 tips that the image has above. You may want to give these a try.

The carabiners we got aren't on amazon but it was "Black Diamond Positron Screwgate Carabiner." Just make sure it's enough to hold the weight you plan on putting and it'll be good.


I also bought a wall mount kit and we would randomly hang it in the office for a cozy reading or nap spot. A couple of lag screws and hooks and it was ready.

I've used a Dremel (more traditional configuration) to polish a lamp before.

Do you have a mechanical toothbrush? Ever let it run away from your mouth for a second? Sprays EVERYTHING in the room, your mirror, your sink, your face, EVERYTHING. Same thing for a Dremel, or any polisher like this. Anything coming off the surface, any cleaner you use, is going to plaster the environment.

Now, if you're prepared for this and out of other options, they're really handy. And this seems like a neat configuration of a Dremel tool, albeit TOO specialized in my opinion. Get a normal one or just, you know, get this thing.

They make these fantastic silicone brushes that remove pet hair from upholstery and clothes! And brooms, too! Helps keep my vacuum from exploding.

I had the opportunity to use an older one and it was the best cleaning machine I have ever used. Expensive? Yes but imo it qualifies for the buy it for life list.

It was crazy easy, I just sprayed a bit of the cleaner. Let it sit for about 30 seconds and started using the drill brush and you can see the stuff come up immediately. I used a microfiber to clean up after the brushing and I was done. No steaming or extracting necessary.
