That book will get you the complete run of the original Old Man Logan storyline. It introduced the character, and stands alone as it's own distinct story. It was originally written as a bit of an "Elseworld" story, and the events of the comics neither directly led to nor out of this book.

But...since then, Marvel has introduced the character into the mainstream continuity, including a mini-series during the Secret Wars event and an ongoing series since 2016. These books are great for those who find themselves fans of the Old Man Logan character, but IMO they are not to the same quality as the original story arch.

That may be more complicated of an explanation than you needed: the short answer is yes, that book will get you the full (original) Old Man Logan storyline.

A few other quick notes: The book is best (or, at least, better) if you have some general knowledge of the Marvel Universe (even just knowing the movies will enhance the experience) but the plot is entirely self-contained so anyone could pick up the book and have a full idea of what's going on. Subsequent Old Man Logan comics have been published, but they came a few years after the original storyline. They're good, particularly if you find yourself liking the character, but the original storyline is awesome.

Book Description

Authors Freeman, former utility CEO, and Parks, an electricity industry journalist, explain how making the transition to an all-electric, all renewable society by 2050 is practical and achievable. An energy infrastructure powered by the sun and wind & running on electricity, for all our energy needs, will be reliable, cleaner, safer, and cheaper.

Review

"This is a timely and engaging educational book about America's energy future. It rightly focuses on the cleanest and most efficient types of energy and transportation... It amplifies the vision that an electric America powered by clean, renewable energy will produce significant health, environmental, and cost benefits with little downside. I highly recommend this book for lay audiences, students, and those in the energy sector who would like to be kept up to date in this rapidly-changing field." - Mark Z. Jacobson, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford University

On Crunchyroll, you either watch ads, a lot, or pay them, and the quality is lower, and you don't get to keep anything. The second option is piracy. Everything is free when you steal it.

It still costs a lot to make - while they don't have to buy cels, and some things can be enhanced with inexpensive CG, for quality, they still need to draw all the frames, and now they have to do it with quality that stands up in HD. If they charged American prices in Japan, the industry would vanish overnight. The animators already practically (often actually) live in poverty.

As it is, the first 2 episodes of this show cost 7560 yen before discount ($74.39 USD). You could have the whole season for a suggested retail price of $446.33 USD. Or with Amazon's massive discounts, just $273.77 USD! That's what it would cost to justify the cost they put into making it. The American price is just something a bit preferable to piracy - they sell the rights to the show for almost nothing, then it gets translated for another thin margin, and sold as a set for a fraction of the cost of one volume of the original. It's like if all the albums on iTunes cost $1 everywhere else because people were just going to steal them anyway.

There used to be $200-300 one-season box sets in English too, back when the industry was healthy, but piracy got easier and better and lots of companies died off just as anime was getting really popular. The market kind of flipped in Japan too - there were already ecchi/moe pandering shows in the 80s and 90s, but they were niche. It was more likely to get churned out in manga and not animated. (Even harem shows like Tenchi Muyo didn't have a lot of sexy fanservice.) Now, they're the default genre because only the hardcore devoted fans are buying significant amounts of product, and there isn't a whole lot an anime fan can really share with people who aren't already into anime (except kids' shows and the odd exceptional adult piece every few years.) They are basically pimping out the anime studios to make ends meet.

I understand that the state of the industry doesn't change the consumer's situation (unless they want to make sure there's more product in the future - but I get "why pay more if you don't have to?") but seriously... $70 for a $446 series is expensive? No. Not even kind of. If you want an anime that can be made for under $70/season, then enjoy your 1 hour Blu-Ray of Xiao Xiao, haha

The reason for this promotion: We figured out that getting a few sales in a row on Amazon for some reason jump-start other sales for the product.

Since September is the best month for Sapphires, and this ring polled as the prettiest by far in our market research (https://aytm.com/surveys/171106/stat/45a776bb2d1832a2aa4124e001cedf14) we decided to try to jump start sales on Reddit for it.

Feel free to check out our Amazon rating of 4.7/5 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aag/main?ie=UTF8&asin=&isAmazonFulfilled=&isCBA=&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER&seller=A19CAE4ZPDR93F).

We manufacture all of our birthstone products in the USA in New York City. We treat all of our employees right, so they stay a long time and get really good at their jobs.

P.S. If you would like to get someone a Sapphire gift, but the above is a bit out of your budget, this ring, feel free to check out RM1678W-09: http://www.amazon.com/White-Gold-Oval-Sapphire-Diamond/dp/B004HWCCJY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1346357963&sr=8-1&keywords=Rm1678W-09. It's only 80 dollars in 10k white gold. There's no discount for it, but its still a great buy and one of our most popular products.

Feel free to PM me or post here if you have any questions.

First off, I know whatever suggestion I make will get shot down because people are convinced that holding an MX518 is like holding Zeus's crotch but that is irrelevant because the MX518 is ancient technology. The G400 is literally the same design except the mouse operates at 1000hz instead of the MX518's 125hz and it has 3200 DPI unlike the MX518's 1600. Seriously, lets just take a minute to comprehend that data. 1000hz vs 125hz for only $15 more and people STILL throw their money away on the MX518, a mouse that should be $10-$15 by now. (P.S. The if you're going to throw your money away on a 125hz mouse, at least buy a MX510 and not an MX518.)

If you are feeling adventurous and you understand that comfort with a mouse, in most cases, exists with what you use for an extended period of time and what you are used to then there is an entire world of gaming mouses outside of the cheap plastic that is Logitech.

The Steelseries Kinzu seems to be the go to mouse for professional Counter-Strike players. The common misconception is that professional players use Steelseries products because they are sponsored by Steelseries but its actually the other way around. Steelseries are sponsors to a lot of teams because they actively use their products and the relationship between using their mouses/keyboards/headsets is beneficial for both parties. The Kinzu and its older brother, the Xai, both have braided cables and rank high in build quality.

The Zowie Mico has been getting a lot of attention from SC2 players. It is essentially a successor to the 1.1/3.0, built for small hands and, like other modern mouses, operates at 1000hz stock.

I would say something about Razer, but I honestly never owned a Razer mouse and I don't know much about their offerings but I know a few people who are content with their purchases from them.

It's not the best gift I have given but the best gift I am giving! I am in the Apocalypse Reddit Gifts, The person who I have lives in Portugal, I am sending them a small carry pack, a Leather bound journal, writing set, paracord and compass. They enjoy reading and said they want to document the apocalypse. For anyone interested This is the Writing Set and This is the Journal. This is the little bag that is going there too. Should be good for storing little keep sakes and pens / the journal. If you are still sending stuff just send it to a rematcher on your awesome little? site.

-- EDIT --

Went with a different bag, It's bigger and can store a LOT more in. It's called the MOLLE US Assault Pack.

I'm not getting any presents this year, but if you want to give something. Then i'd like something like this. But thats just selfish thinking of me expecting that 1. You'd wanna pay so much. and 2. That you're going to choose me over that Clean water well idea. But if you don't want to buy me a wacom, i'd also be happy with just a good book or something. I heard House of leaves is good.

Even if you dont pick me or something, I just want to say you are a great guy and props to you for this kind of christmas spirit. This song is for you.

Good questions. Flash Facts and Memorang are very different programs and it depends on what better fits your learning style. (I would say to try both and then make the best determination for yourself).

From a feature point of view, advantages for Memorang would be that it's available on both the web and mobile. Also, it takes study sets of information and presents it in multiple ways (flashcards, multiple choice, matching, and games) and allows you to create custom study playlists and even upload your own flashcards. In other words, it's a program that you could use for your day-to-day coursework in addition to your USMLE prep. From a content point of view, Memorang presents the information in more varied ways and covers a broader scope since both First Aid and Pathoma are integrated.

The spaced repetition we have is a bit different than Anki, but hopefully in a few months we'll release another feature where you can set a goal and schedule and then receive a daily queue of what to review.

The best collection of student experiences with Memorang would probably be the reviews on Amazon which you can read here.

I hope this helps!

Hey Jaedekdee,

Yup, still checking these out. I'd recommend you read only the 2nd book (as it's more up-to-date) and if you are a web developer, an old but great book is "The Web Application Hacker's Handbook" http://www.amazon.com/The-Web-Application-Hackers-Handbook/dp/1118026470.

There are a ton of great resources out there, but it's all about which security niche area you want to go into. For example, malware reversing, forensics, pentesting, metasploit, mobile, low level (like shellcoders handbook), and etc. If you are looking for more general books on hacking, the Hacking Exposed series also has a good grasp on the basics. Let me know if that helps!

I remember a friend giving away their iPod shuffle to me years ago. It was okay. Nothing special. Only liked it because it was free, but hated iTunes wiping it seemingly every time I plugged it in (and that god awful long 'synching' time).
A few years later I checked out getting a new player. There was this little player from Philips(similar to this) for $50, 4gb. I looked over at the iPod that was not unlike this and saw the $150 price tag for virtually the same thing.
Oh, but Apple has features. Like proprietary software with iTunes where I had to use iTunes to install music on it. And constantly nagging me about buying music from the iStore. And the corners are rounder!
Why would I want to pay a third of the price for a product that lets me just drag and drop music into it and off I go to enjoy my music? Fucking Philips, trying to make a product that's cheaper AND better at giving me what I want and not giving me bullshit software contracts for using their product!
In the end, Philips won. I get mad thinking about how it hasn't broke on me, or suddenly frozen out of nowhere like my old iPod. Or how I never have to synch it. Or how the only time it gets wiped is when I do it personally instead of iTunes deciding it's a good time for it. I sometimes wonder what life would be like if I spent that extra $100. Maybe I'd be enjoying a good synch right now, watching the clock tick by and not getting to listen to my music while I wait.

Well, I guess I'd really like a new USB flash drive. This one looks shiny and cool, but I'd be overjoyed with something with a quarter the space, frankly. Edit: While I'm dreaming for something I'll never get, this is amazing. Maybe some new memory for my computer. There are many more deserving people than me on reddit, but this would make me happy.
