It is my first time propagating, so I am not sure if it is a fluke; however, I have had success in using a squeeze watering bottle (something like this, but I bought mine at the dollar store by my place: https://www.amazon.ca/Flower-Watering-Bottle-Garden-Transparent/dp/B00XHN9NUK) and just squeezing a little bit of water just in front of each leaf with roots. This way I eliminate any water getting on the leaves, but encourage root growth still. Also, my leaves are sitting on top of a gritty mix topped with perlite for further protection against getting the leaves wet while in search of soil and water (thus encouraging rot). I do not plan to water any of them until the mother leaf shrivels up entirely! I have some tiny little pups now and some healthy looking roots, so I am looking forward to the new few weeks/months :)

Hi. I purchased two of these tall sink shelves and zip ties them together. You may be able to fit two side by side. I even put small succulent pots in the baskets.
If you did something like this, you could also have hanging plants from
The ceiling if you desired.
I love these shelves, they are expandable and super sturdy.

Have a peek-

I also have a high faucet and it fits perfectly over mine, you may wish to check measurements if interested.
I hung a grow light, from the ceiling, over mine as well.

Thanks!! :)

These are the grow lights I’ve been using, I have 6 total:

Here’s why they work for me: I have a ~5’ heavy duty storage rack ($60 at Home Depot, I can find the exact product info if needed) and I can fit 2 per shelf (I repurposed bread ties and secured them to the shelves), which gives plenty of light all the way around. They don’t get hot and I keep them on about 12 hours a day.

Oh, and for the wavy jade; I keep mine on a bookshelf in semi-bright, indirect light and it seems to enjoy that! I had it out in a shady spot in my greenhouse and it seemed to dislike that much brightness. 🤷‍♀️

I was inspired by the test tube holders like this one and this nicer one. My shot glass version cost nothing and put stuff laying around into service.

Absolutely you can do this with your own shot glasses. For pothos you need only one node submerged so the shorter glass length works.

I've seen succulents propped in water, they might work too. Depends on the plant... Good luck!

I always like DK books for learning things because they tend to provide good intro info (it won't be super in depth) and they're very visual so enjoyable to look through and read. But honestly I recommend just going to your library and browsing what they have on this topic before buying anything so you can look inside the books.
