7. Boveda for Cigars | One-Step Calibration Kit | Preloaded with 75% RH 2-Way Humidity Control | Precise Salt Test for Digital and Analog Hygrometers and Humidity Sensors | 1-Count

    Features:
  • PRECISE HYGROMETER READINGS: Our on-step hygrometer calibration kt makes sure your hygrometer is giving accurate readings. Precisely calibrate digital and analog hygrometer and humidity sensors, so they give accurate relative humidity (RH) readings of what’s going on inside a humidor. Even if your hygrometer says it doesn’t need to be calibrated, it does—every 6 months. A perfectly calibrated hygrometer will read 75% or 32% RH.
  • EASY & MESS-FREE CALIBRATION: Simply place a hygrometer or humidity sensor in the airtight bag with the enclosed Boveda humidity pack. Zip closed and check back in 24 hours. If a hygrometer doesn’t read 75% RH, adjust by the number of points it’s off, then re-test. For added accuracy, do a 2-point calibration with a 32% RH Boveda calibration Kit. If your hygrometer reads above or below that number, adjust the calibration by the number of percentage points it is off from 75% or 32% RH
  • REUSABLE: Good for 3 months after opening (2 years if unopened in original packaging). Re-calibrate a hygrometer or humidity sensor every 6 months to keep it performing effectively. The One-Step Calibration Kit is a simple and surefire method to accurately calibrate any digital or analog hygrometer or humidity sensor.
  • ULTIMATE SALT TEST: Inaccurate Hygrometer readings put premium cigars at risk. Precisely calibrate digital and analog hygrometer and humidity sensors, so they give accurate relative humidity (RH) readings of what’s going on inside a humidor. Do-it-yourself calibration methods, like bottle cap salt tests, are imprecise and inaccurate. Good for three months after opening!
  • ABOUT US: Boveda devoted the past 23 years to the science of two-way humidity control, we know you will benefit from our commitment to precision. Becoming the global leader in any category does not happen overnight, but Boveda did this and continues to do so since 1997. Today, that persistence looks like millions of two-way humidity control packets getting shipped out each year to protect your finest cigars and tobacco related products.

My wife reminds me that the larger part is the "tea Ocean" the smaller bowl that the teapot sits in is the "tea Lake"... that being said, [here] (https://www.amazon.com/Dictea-Chinese-Portable-Porcelain-Consists/dp/B01HPOM6NM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484326566&sr=8-1&keywords=chinese+porcelain+tea+tray) is the closest things I found easily. However, all of the ones my wife and I have come directly from Asia, and no, other than three wonderful tea shops on Jonkers in Malacca Malaysia, I don't know the name of the stores we purchased our goods at, sorry.

A bit out of left field, but you could buy an Aeropress and give that a shot. Maybe pick up a metal filter if you find yourself liking it.

[This] (http://www.happymugcoffee.com/darktea/213-pu-erh-bird-nest-china.html?ps_full_site=1) tea. I ordered their gyokuro, keemun Mao feng, Jasmine pearls, gf oolong, and Taiwan high mountain as well if you have any input on those.

Also ordered [this] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0006HINDI/ref=ox_sc_act_image_2?smid=A3TCNCNGLOHBSA&psc=1) and [these] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00IM42AZ4/ref=pd_aw_fbt_79_img_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=BRN3K6M22VSK4D1DXZ8E). Any good as far as you know? I mostly drink and roast coffee but wanted to branch out.

I use this hygrometer. It's pretty cheap and was way off when it arrived. It's also pretty finicky to adjust the first time but it can be done. Try using this calibration kit.

You can get a cuatro in the metro areas that have large PR populations(eg New York, NY, Bridgeport, CT). You can get a good playing one for around $300. It won't be this nice obviously. They are popular enough that big stores sometimes carry Mexican made ones like here or here. Interestingly enough the cuatros made with more modern construction methods and guitar tonewoods tend to sound more mellow and sometimes have more sustain and complexity. For solo playing it may be NOT to seek out a traditionally made one. These instruments are traditionally played in a band and must cut through all the other instruments(before amps existed!) so you almost want that hard brittle sound of the older style made ones made of the less sonorous wood(think Flamenco guitar vs a classical one). They are also meant to be flashy so the action is low to the point of buzzing a bit so that you can play them at lightning speed (again similar to Flamenco guitars). The instruments do not have bent sides like a guitar, but the back, sides and neck should be carved out of a single block of wood. The only problem with the old-style ones is the instruments do not fair well with seasonal changes. The neck on mine bent and shrunk to the point where the sides of the frets could be felt along the neck. Also the glaze crazed during the first winter(however I quite like this). The bent neck and frets required work to fix though. Sorry for rambling!
