There's nothing gross about what we refine in our appearances! But that is exactly where I started when I had my "enough is enough" moment. This blog post really helped me get a rein on it, and 6 months later my skin is virtually flawless so it works!

As for products, since there are a lot and it seems like a bit much upfront. I recommend

Cleanser 2-Step (Oil to lift makeup and debris, foam to completely clean face)

  1. The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam (150 mL/5.0 Oz) & Light Cleansing Oil (150 mL /5 Oz) Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SUZWGHM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_RcMVBbZWGQB0R

  2. Microdermabrasion Exfoliator (remove debris clogging pores)
DRMTLGY Microdermabrasion Facial Scrub and Face Mask. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076KYPY23/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_udMVBbRKR035V

If you would like, a toner can be added in place of the exfoliator on days that you do not exfoliate.

  3. BHA (Reduce pore oil production)
COSRX Natural BHA Skin Returning A-Sol, 100ml https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00V4JPXO4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_1eMVBb36B2C7R

(Optional: if you look around, you can find products called "serums" and "essences" to Target specific problem areas. They are typically pretty expensive as they are highly concentrated)

  4. Mask (lock-in moisture and allow serums/essence to penetrate)
Dermal Korea Collagen Essence Full Face Facial Mask Sheet, 16 Combo Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BAM7F8C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_aiMVBbV8HNZTF

  5. Sleeping Packs! (Thick overnight mask for ultimate hydration)
Elizavecca Milky Piggy Wrinkle care Revitalize EGF Retinol Cream for Anti Aging Pore Minimizing https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MTF6Y6B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_SlMVBb24VC3B5

And that's about it. You also generally want to do them in that order. It sounds like a lot, but all that will run you perhaps $50 for a 2 month or so supply, depending on your use.

I can certainly attest to how powerful a combination they are though, I almost shudder to think of wearing makeup most days now. My skin feels so clear for the first time in my life that I realize it's unnecessary, and anyone can have that with a little effort!

    Good luck 😘😘

> I feel Genesis is given as poetry

Hey! Just happened to run across this and wanted to chime in as a sort of FYI thing. I'm a major in bible languages (currently doing my master's work, dreading the thesis paper), and it's important to know that from a grammatical standpoint the opening chapters of Genesis are definitely not poetry. Biblical Hebrew uses different grammar structures (down to specific kinds of verbs) in poetry and prose. However you choose to take that is fine, but Genesis is not poetry. It does contain poetry ("this is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh"), but those make up very small portions of the book.

If you're interested in seeing some really in-depth scholarly work on this, check out the book "Coming to Grips with Genesis". I can PROMISE you'll disagree with some of what the book says, which is fine, but it makes a very good case for taking Genesis at face value in terms of how you read it (how that affects your theology is up to you), and it makes this case based on some really stellar work in the language and grammar (among other topics such as the history of theology). Like I said, you'll likely disagree with most of it, but even with that being the case it presents some clear evidences for Genesis just meaning what it says.

Anyway, wanted to pass this along because I see the poetry argument pretty frequently and it's a pretty weak one. So take this as just a friendly, "hey, you might look into this," sort of thing!

Have a good one!

A $500 PC will beat a PS4 Pro handily, not to mention being able to do other stuff with it.

$600-800 is the sweet spot right now IMO, as you get the best $/performance and it'll be lightning quick not only for gaming, but also for any other computer stuff you use it for.

Here's a parts list for $500, although before you buy anything, head on over to /r/buildapc, and also check out /r/buildapcsales.

As for Windows, if you're a student you can get it for free from Dreamspark, or you can use an old laptop/desktop's Windows 7/8 key.

Also keep in mind that while you can certainly game on a TV, if you don't already have a monitor, you may want to consider that. Also, there are some pretty decent, pretty cheap mechanical keyboards these days, such as this one.

If you wanna know more just lemme know and I can go more in-depth on any of this stuff. This is just a quick overview I threw together.

So I like watches, and started collecting a few of them in the past 2-3 years, and I have to say that I don't quite agree with your reasoning

First off,

>practical purpose

>depth of 300m

That's...not exactly practical. A depth of 330m is the word record. Also, and I'm not a diver so I'm only going by what I've heard; a 200m depth is more than you'll go, and there are a ton of watches that fulfill this (the Casio Duro is ~$70 and is rated for 200m). e: True dive watches are a bit more complicated since they need to be ISO 6425 certified, but again a 100m or 200m certified watch is will work fine. Even on /r/watches they'll tell you to get a dive computer if you're serious about diving instead of a dive watch.

>only go to 200m

200m is overkill.

>How deep do you go?

>With the necessary training and experience, the limit for recreational scuba diving is 40 metres/130 feet. Beginning scuba divers stay shallower than about 18 metres/60 feet. Although these are the limits, some of the most popular diving is shallower than 12 metres/40 feet, where the water’s warmer and the colors are brighter.

>not as precise

For the precision, a mechanical watch might be off by +/-3-10 seconds a day (a digital is +/-0.02 seconds btw). A more expensive watch is not necessarily better, just more expensive. Eventually, all mechanical watches need to reset their time.

>I can see why people need to splash down the money for a Rolex.

Rolex is by far not the only dive watch, but it is probably the most expensive one. The Rolex sub pictured cost ~$10,000 (not to mention the price of repairing a Rolex, which is in the hundreds). If you absolutely need a 300m watch, there are cheaper alternatives, including a Citizen for $267, an Oris for $1200 or even an Omega for $2900.

No problem! If you're interested in learning more about Hinduism, I'd point you to Bhagavad Gita: The Beloved Lord's Secret Love Song by Dr. Graham Schweig. It's a translation of the Bhagavad Gita, a section of the Mahabharata, one of the main holy texts in Hinduism. There are also the Vedas, but those aren't nearly as widely read.

The Bhagavad Gita is the third most read holy text in the world behind the Bible and the Qur'an. It's only ~360 pages long, and this edition has an amazing amount of footnotes that explain the context and meanings of every verse. I firmly believe that it's the best translation out there.

Sounds like your head and your heart just have a bit of a disagreement then, I understand. It’s so hard to hear how damaging the meat and dairy industry is to animals. The best thing to do is simply not to contribute to it.

Do you buy meat?

Animals are killed long before their natural life expectancy. The flesh inside their bodies would not be optimal for a meat eaters idea of a nice meal if they were killed at their actual life expectancy age.

Regardless, even if an animal died happily, in no pain, at a ripe old age or let’s say somehow humane slaughter has been invented (even though this is literally an oxymoron and impossible)...it still wouldn’t mean that we have the right to take an animals flesh. They are individuals, not commodities.

Some people find that tricky to get their heads around, if they don’t truly love animals. That’s a vegan’s stance.

But there are plenty other great reasons to stop eating meat, like the fact that animal agriculture is the result of nearly 90% of deforestation of the Amazon. Or that nearly half the plastic waste in the oceans is from discarded fishing nets etc.

Or the health reasons might be more your thing, if animal rights aren’t. Lots of great reasons 🙏🏻

Edit: ps, you might like this book - the animals are treated as proper individuals and not exploited for what we can take from them, it’s really lovely.

What's funny is that my mom actually was in China from February to May on a business trip, and I asked her to find a copy of it for me. She couldn't find a cheap copy of it in English, so she actually bought it for me in Chinese as a keepsake, and then found it for me on Amazon and shipped it to her home and gave both sets to me when she came back. I have the Chinese version in a display with my teapot she got me while there, and a hand carved stamp she had a woman make for me while there in a little shopping district. One funny thing is that the Chinese version is printed on two ~1 1/2", whereas the English print is across 3 bible-sized books.

If you've never really seen or been exposed to any of the material from it, I'd suggest watching the full Chinese version of Red Cliff (Chi Bi). It's an incredibly long movie, but it's fantastic, and it's a really good representation of the pacing and general tone of the books. The film depicts the lead up, clash, and aftermath of one of the most pivotal and dynamic battles that occurred during the warring states period, which is a small piece of the overall story in the books.

These links are the English translations that I have.

Somebody on a forum did testing with a few cases and this one, while not pretty, did the trick and had the best temps of multiple cases, even fancier ones. Beforehand my Rpi3 was overheating on high resolution videos, and hasn't had a hitch since.

The downsides for me are dealable - it's open sided which means it might collect a bit more dust, although no issues yet over two months of use. The other is that the fan makes noise. You could likely find a better quality fan that makes less noise if it bothers you.

Usually the volume of what I'm watching drown out the fans - in my household I've generally got fans running or air conditioning or my own desktop rig so fan noise doesn't bother me at all. It doesn't make nasty sounds or very loud at all, just what you'd expect from a small and decenty speedy little fan.

I mean, I don't, but you could carry those little packs of wet wipes. Something like this would do nicely.

I'd bet that lots and lots of mothers have them on hand.

I think the funniest part about this whole debacle is that you can purchase stick-on, fully removable whiteboard paper pretty much anywhere and cut it to the size of your laptop fairly easily. It's not expensive (the link is the first one that showed up in the Amazon search) and it's not even a DIY project. It's just a simple purchase-thing, use-thing kind of situation.

should look into irritable bowel syndrom symptoms, lots of stuff you can do, but a lot of irregular gut activity like this can lead to serious health problems down the road. Things that will help off the bat are drinking 2L+ of water each day, if you have diarrhea that often it's also very likely you're constantly dehydrated. Dehydration further inflames your digestive organs which could agravate the problem.

Once you have water figured out slowly work in more fibre. If you do it too quickly or increase your fibre without being well hydrated enough you're going to plug yourself up. Fibre is indigestible, its function is to add graininess to fuel/waste moving through your gut. That graininess keeps it together at the end and scrapes build-up off the sides of your intestines to improve your digestive health. Easiest way I've found is a microwave vegetable steamer. I dislike raw greens, aside from spinach and lettuce, so I keep a bag of pre-cut broccoli in the fridge, grab a handful, wash it, and throw it in the microwave steamer for 1min 30s, season with salt/pepper and have it as a side. Altogether it is an extra 2min to cooking and will make you feel a lot better overtime.

Do you experience acid reflux at all or frequently?
